[Sanctuary] Complete Trust (Kavala)

Lots of hard work and much of it outside his knowledge base? Normally it would be daunting, but with the pay, the company, the potential for knowledge and the room he was given, Elem had only one answer. Yes. Though, the idea of getting settled was nice, with his things outside. "I am happy to get to work. I do need to get my belongings from upstairs and perhaps freshen up a bit first? I only have the one set of clothes, so it shouldn't be long. I can always go into the City over the week when I am not working. I could certainly use the exercise."

Speaking of, he chose to stand again. It had been a long day already for him and it sounded like it would be even longer. Rubbing the stubble on his chin, he looked at Kavala. "Now, what should I do first? My skills are limited but I am absolutely ready to learn and work for these many blessings." There wasn't much else to say, so he remained open to hear what his duties would be straight away.

Kavala watched the human think. Normally she didn't read expression well in humans, but Elem seemed to do a lot of heavy thinking in large chunks in short amounts of time and it showed on his face - not what he was thinking about - but that he was thinking deeply. She waited, letting him mull things over, and decided that more questions perhaps would come.

"Look, we aren't slavers here. You're part of the group, the family, and we work all together if you take on this job. Take the rest of the day off... as your boss I order it, and relax explore, go to town, do whatever you need to do. Tomorrow is soon enough to get started. Trust me on this one, Elem Bree. You can get your things, settle in, and we'll see you at the twentyith bell for a meal." She added.

"And if you have any questions at all, come find me. Stop me. Stop anyone, and just ask. And if you see anyone needing help with anything, just jump in and give them a hand. You are free to explore anywhere. Please stay out of my suite though. You can tell its mine because the gemstone tones have pinks and blues. Its roughly north of the library. " She added, looking thoughtful.

Elem had a slight inner chuckle, which probably came out like a clearing of the throat with a smile. He was being too humble. This city and these people respected a kind of boldness and his humility, while genuine, was probably not going to go over too well. Doing his best to straighten up and look Kavala in the eye, he accepted his first order. "Alright, twentieth bell it is. I look forward to meeting everyone. I appreciate the hospitality and I will make sure to carry my weight. No worries there." He certainly had enough to carry, hence the need for these long walks between the Sanctuary and the City.

"I'll find you if I need you. Pardon my ...I don't know, shyness? But it wasn't nearly as warm and friendly in Zeltiva, so it might just take a little time for me to warm up, but I surely will." Smiling and nodding, he didn't see much reason to stand around. "Well, I'll be getting my things and getting myself set up. Thanks again and I'll see you at dinner!" With that, he set about to heading up to his cart and belongings. He was looking forward to the many adventures and learning that were in store for him at the Sanctuary, his new home.
