Samantha pulled on her sandals and did a spin. Putting out the fire she walked over to the small earn and laid a kiss on her fingers and pressed them to the designed object. Smiling a small smile Samantha grabbed her key and walked out the door. Turning to lock it she wiped the smile off her face and placed the key in her vest, secure to her body.

Taking a deep breath she turned and walked down the slightly busy street. Thinking over the best place to get the scoop of the city would best be the Inn. Looking at the sky she deemed it should be about late morning. Meaning that she should be able to get close to the Inn Keeper and not some annoying barmaid.

The city should have had something of interest happen or open about this time. Fall was always the time where her traveling peaked, people where always wronged or what not near the end of the year. Samantha had deduced that this was because people felt that no one would catch them in the fall because it was cold and snowy or because a new year was coming around and that year would bring them a clean slate. Of course they were wrong.

Samantha turned the corner and knew she was getting close to her first destination by the smell of beer and food. She hoped the special was good because she had had a small meal in hope for something good to eat. And she wanted to get rid of the feeling of cold mizas off her breast. Sighing Samantha strutted her way on.

OOC: So Samantha is about a two blocks away from the Inn. Feel free to start anywhere!

Day Stroll [59th of Fall, 512AV]

Postby Andraste on October 30th, 2012, 9:20 am

Andraste had spent the night on the streets on Alvadas, only to finally end up in one of the local ins by the morning. Most days she would be hit by a great wave of depression as she became human once more, come the first rays of morning sun. But not today. She was strangely calm. Unnaturally calm.

Despite the abundance of ale she had spent the morning drinking, Andraste was far from drunk. Perhaps in one of her past lives she was an alcoholic. Thoughts flowed in and out of her head aimlessly, swimming like fish in the vast blue seas of Mizahar. Some occupied her for more than a moment, and some escaped before she could acknowledge their existence. The complexity of a human mind was astonishing indeed.

Leaving some mizas on the table, she got up and exited the inn. But where was she actually going? Surely she was in no hurry to return home. Not yet. As her train of thought came to an abrupt halt, she found her self walking straight into a complete stranger, nearly knocking her over. A woman with very dark hair and a lovely olive tint to her skin.

"I am so sorry." cried Andraste, jerking out of her deep thoughts. "I didn't see you, I'm very sorry."

Samantha was looking at some women huddled around a glass window when she stopped abruptly. "I'm so sorry. I didn't see you, I'm very sorry." A voice cried.

Samantha went to wave them off as she gained her balance but stopped. Before her stood a beautiful petite woman with very pale skin, with long almost white hair, soft blue eyes, and cold lips who looked torn just by the sudden collision. Samantha decided this woman was like the delicate ice you find settling on small puddles of water in the winter.

Torn on what she herself should do Samantha stood there awkwardly for a time. Thinking that the woman would surely think Samantha a rude brute by not saying anything, Samantha sighed inwardly then spoke, "Take no heed. It was my fault, taking interest in the greeds of window lickers."

Samantha didn't know what happened but the sudden urge to bury herself in her arm of embarrassment for what she had just said overcame her. Samantha kept her cool though and did no such thing. Though she was embarrassed she was surprised at her sudden tonge. Maybe being around those Konti for so long was not such a good idea. Or perhaps it was.

Samantha had not seen this woman before and took interest in the woman immediately. Taking a small breath through her nose Samantha could smell the booze on the woman. Meaning she most probably came from the inn. Deciding that maybe this woman had news of events around the city Samantha opened her mouth, "Say, I have not seen you around here before. Then again I myself am hardly around enough to say who is truly from here and who is from the other outstretches of Mizahar. Do you mind perhaps having a meal with me? I was on my way to the inn but that way seems most unkind at this hour. I'm in need of some news in or around the city and you look like you could use a good meal. If you choose to come go you may have the honor of choosing our place of meal."

Samantha ignored the urge to drag the ice woman along and make her warm. It was only instinct she told herself. Only instinct. People are the way there are for reasons. Samantha knew this personally. So she pushed away the feelings and waited for the ice woman to decide.

"Take no heed. It was my fault, taking interest in the greeds of window lickers." replied the woman with, what at first seemed to Andraste as false politeness. She was so used to it. Everywhere she went, it seemed, people possessed two faces. One golden one and one hidden, scornful, devious. She wondered what exactly this woman meant by window lickers, but before Andraste had the chance to ask, she continued in that formal fashion of hers. "Say, I have not seen you around here before. If you choose to come go you may have the honour of choosing our place of meal."

Fora moment Andraste stood very still, her lips slightly ajar as she could not believe her own ears. Despite the pretentious formality - a quality found only in pretentious formal women who were not physically capable of true kindness - this woman was truly kind. Of course it was either kindness or an attempt at befriending and murder. But what ever the chances of that. Many times Andraste wished to be killed and never did her wishes come true.

Banishing such foolish thoughts with desperation to hang onto her stable state of mind, she smiled politely and finally began forming sentences. "Any place if good. Even the old inn." she spoke, the informality of her own speech contrasted greatly with that of the woman. "But as for news, I'm afraid I'll be a poor excuse of a gossip. It's not often that I walk out into the streets of this city. My name is Andraste by the way. And yours?" she asked, holding out her hand in a greeting.

Samantha was trying to still piece together what in the world she had just said herself. Though the look on the poor girls face was one to giggle at in the ways friends laugh with other friends. Lips lightly parted and a look of disbelief as Samantha went on. Though Samantha didn't think her face on the inside was far from it.

A look of judgement passed over the face of the ice woman so fast that Samantha almost, almost, didn't catch it. But the look of longing was very apparent on the ice womans face before she replied, " "Any place if good. Even the old inn." Samantha was not a little stunned for a second. She couldn't think of a place, a single one, to save the life of her that had good food. But if the inn is where they should find themselves then so be it. Even if Samantha would rather take the ice woman else where. Being some place twice in the same day was only meant for inns if you came back to sleep, not to have a meal after drinking your system to death. Though Samantha had done just that several times.

"But as for news, I'm afraid I'll be a poor excuse of a gossip. It's not often that I walk out into the streets of this city. My name is Andraste by the way. And yours?" the ice woman extended her hand out. At this point Samantha's mind blanked, she has had only a few clients who have ever wanted to touch her in just a friendly way. She was used to people trying to use her feminine side against her, only to find out the hard way.

After the moment of shock passed Samantha gave the best smile she could, which only happened to be a small one that felt so odd to her, and raised her hand to meet the woman's, "Well, I guess we'll find something. You have any specific places you haven't been to? Also don't worry about that, what ever information you have will be of use, and if not well we have each made a friend and had a good meal. Plus you always have 'those' tables that don't know the meaning of over talking. And Grenth. Samantha Grenth. Seeing as your not a client I think that is reason enough to give you my first name. And excuse the talking before hand. I stayed with the Konti for a time and they are very proper woman, you pick up on a few things when you hear them for a month. "

She lightly shook the ice woman's hand. Usually it would be a strong an firm shake but Samantha felt that the ice woman would brake if she held so hard and shook as her usual fashion.

The first thought which sprang to her mind was 'what did she mean by clients'? Was she a prostitute? Surely not, why did such foolish thoughts come to her head. Then again Samantha was a very good looking woman. Non the less she made a mental note to ask about these 'clients' of hers. Also to ask about the Konti. It seemed like such an interesting topic to talk about over a good meal.

Then a thought came to her head. An restaurant which she had once heard about, but never visited for she never seemed to have quite enough money in her pocket. "How about we go to the Withering Rose?" she asked. "I've never actually been there but I hear it's a lovely place. And at this time, there shouldn't be many people there so we'll have plenty of time to talk. I am quite looking forward to out new friendship Samantha." She added a warm smile at the very end, one which melted her face of ice. Suddenly she was excited to have met this beautiful woman before her.

Samantha retracted her hand after the friendly greeting. Though Andraste seemed friendly Samantha got the vibe that she was hiding something and felt unsure about Samantha. But it was quite alright, Samantha was not telling things and didn't know much about the other woman so being judgemental would not help anything.
"How about we go to the Withering Rose? I've never actually been there but I hear it's a lovely place. And at this time, there shouldn't be many people there so we'll have plenty of time to talk. I am quite looking forward to out new friendship Samantha." Andraste smiled. And the smile seemed to thaw out the womans appearance greatly plus the excitement that raidiated off the woman just added to it.
Maybe Andraste was just a small trickling creek that was trying to brake it's hold from winters frozen grasp. Samantha smilled back, this one coming more natural than the other, and nodded, "Sounds great. And I've had many people tell me that the food there is always great for cold days. And if you don't mind I think I believe I'll pay for it."

"Don't be silly." said Andraste with a note of utter seriousness in her tone, despite the endearing smile on her face. She was a woman with plenty of honour to spare. "We'll split the bill fifty-fifty. Perhaps I shall let you treat me next time, when I am sure I'll have the chance to repay my debt accordingly. But all that in due time, we must become friends for life first." she laughed with the very last sentence. Perhaps it was a joke, but she really would not mind making a friend. Alvadas was exceedingly lonely.

The two made their way though the streets, only once managing to loose their way. But finally made it to the restaurant where they sat at a small table in the very distant corner and waited to be served.

OOC- I thought they should properly start the conversation in the restaurant, but if you want me to change it just pm me :) If how the story is moving, is ok with you then just keep posting and I'll remove this OOC bit.

"So..." started Andraste, leaning on her hand. Her head hurt a little bit, but nothing to be alarmed about. This was natural to her when she had spent the early hours drinking. "Tell me about your self. Where you from? Tell me about your time with the Konti." There was a soft glow to her features. Her face relaxed so that she seemed as if she was in her happy place. She was much more content with Samantha now. Perhaps it was from spending time with her, the renascence of her kind hearted intentions. Andraste was not used to kind hearts.

OOC- Totally fine. And I like the part where we get lost. :D

Samantha relaxed into her seat. Starring faintly at the white rose that sat on their table.

"So..." Andraste leaned on her hand. There was a flash of annoyance that ran across her face but Samantha knew it was not for her,"Tell me about your self. Where you from? Tell me about your time with the Konti." Andraste looked peaceful and was glowing much like female humans did when pregnant. It scared Samantha a little, and it also embarrassed her because she didn't notice it earlier.

After noticing that Andraste was waiting for her to reply Samantha chuckled at herself, "Pardon. My name is Samantha Grenth. I lived in Lhavit till I was 4, with my Father, till two years ago. I was born on the 23rd of Fall. I have not found a Master or Mistress. And my favorite passing time is running." Samantha thought about what she said and paused, "Actually I lived with my mother and father till I was 4 then I moved here almost three years ago. And I really do not have a good reputation, you caught me on a good day." Samantha paused and thought over her last statement. Surely the poor girl would be confused but she could explain if need be.

Samantha thought over what Andraste had asked her and paused. She usually didn't talk of her trips. Then again she usually didn't have someone to talk to about them, "Well I was actually already up north in a small village that's not on the maps working for a man. And I happened to just be finishing up with my job when a Konti had come forth and told me I had great things in-store for me if I stayed with them for a time. Well I decided a little vacation couldn't be that bad so I stayed with the girl for a month. Now, not all of Konti are like this but I swear this one had it out for me. She constantly was trying to get me to do stuff, like stuff I don't do for free.
And for about a month this happened, then when I had had enough I decided to leave. But when I went to leave she was pleading with me to stay, then the woman had the audacity to say that she was my Mistress and that she demand that I say. Now I'm not saying they are bad people but that lady was crazy! But she did have quite the taste in her own line of work. Summary of the story, she thought that I was the companion she had seen in her vision but I didn't feel that submissive or protective pull towards her. I felt that she was whole and had all she needed." Samantha paused and laughed a little thinking over the time. She had fun ,yes, being put in proper dresses and acting like a lady for a little while. But she missed her usual clothing and was glad to be back in it.

"So.." Samantha copied smiling teasingly,"Tell me about your self. Where you from? And perhaps how come you smell like you drank close to your weight in alcohol and is not even close to drunk as you should be?" Samantha crossed her arms with a small smile on her face.

Samantha still felt a little uneasy in the restaurant, especially when there was barley a soul in the place and those who were in it were sitting at a table with a black rose on each. Well except a cute couple who sat at a table with a red rose holding hands. Samantha wondered where the waitress was.....

OOC: I'm trying to get someone who works here and roleplays here to come and actually be our waitress so try not to play out that part if we can.

Day Stroll [59th of Fall, 512AV]

Postby Andraste on November 3rd, 2012, 10:00 am

A wide grin from ear to ear appeared over Andraste's face and she tried very hard not to laugh at the very last question. Indeed she drank very much when she wanted to, but it seemed only certain alcoholic beverages had any actual affect on her. "One tends to develop a rather hard head when, like me, they had fallen out of the sky." she said finally, trying to sound a little mysterious so keep Samantha's attention on her. However after a moment she gave up on that tactic completely and carried on. "I'm an Etherfal, you see. And it's really during the night that you should ask me questions about my past. All I'm really aware of at the moment is just this life; and that has been pretty uneventful for I haven't been in Mizahar for long. Forgive me but I cannot provide you with a much better explanation."

She looked Samantha straight in the eyes, studying her expression. In fact she studies everything about the woman. The olive tint to her skin, her facial expressions. Even her body language, which betrayed her unease. Something Andraste wished whole-heartedly to help.

She took a moment to absorb the abundance of information Samantha has just given her. She didn't want to sound rude, or as if she disregarded the story, but there was something she had to ask. "Forgive me, but earlier you mentioned 'clients' and now you say you do not have a master. Feel free to put me back in my place if I cross some kind of a line but I must inquire; are you a Kelvic?"
There's a face in the mirror and it is not my own face.
