Of course Bob was not listening. Nira'lia explained a whole lot of things for him without regard to how much he actually knew and she did not really answer the question of what it actually does or how to prepare it which only forced him to try figuring out himself. Based on her list, the yabarrow-yarrows probably had to be made into some sort of paste to be applied on the skin and that was the only thing he got throughout before he fell into his loop of 'chances.' It was Nira'lia's fault more than his really. How can she expect him to pay attention to her when she was not paying attention to him?

Her squeak was surprising but not more than when she slapped his wrist and forced him to drop the ivy. Thinking that she was worried that he was going to take it all he admitted that "I was just getting some for us..." did she say poison ivy?!? Oh dear. Granted he did not know how the infamous plant looked like, he heard of it. He even saw its effects a few times when some other patients came to his uncle's clinic scratching all over and he was beginning to start doing it himself. Eek! Just like the expression Nira'lia was wearing on her face right now.

While Bob knew exactly what happened he still could not allow her to realize that her suspicions is true. An old advice came back to him that women never wanted to be in the wrong because even if they are, they are right. Stalling for time while he thought about how to recover this situation and from the itch he gave the best lie that he as so far today. "Of course I was listening. You said it was poison ivy. Didn't you want some?" he asked putting on a baffled face while he looked at the plant. The petching one that grew along the hedges that had ruined his plans today.

Before he could try stalling for anymore time, he found Nira'lia doing the job for him through her healing. While he did not know exactly what it was he could feel the itchiness vanishing from his hands. Taking the chance Bob started building up the djed in him as long as he did not have to take the time to scratch an itch. Gradually as Nira'lia did her healing he found it easier to concentrate on his djed than his skin and like a widening gap in a dam, the djed increased in his mouth. Feeling the amount that he was not able to control too well thanks to the uncertainty from the healing, Bob quickly stopped and asked sheepishly "did I do something bad?"

Along with those stupid words, djed reached Nira'lia to make it seem less stupid and more plausible that Bob really did not know what was going on when a sudden thought of realization will come to the konti that "he honestly doesn't know." Adding to that with a disappointed face Bob will ask "maybe you can explain?" to try and get the same result that the konti wanted when she tried it on him. Unfortunately for her, Bob was not really one for guilt especially in small matters like this. Giving a sigh more because he might have to go through another lengthy explanation he asked "maybe a little slower and with less mediciney words because I didn't really get the Yarrow stuff except turn it into paste the next time I get cut?" Of course he was unsure about his guess but maybe now Nira'lia will explain things more properly as he asked.

Bob took one last look at the poison ivy to study its characteristics as Nira'lia explained or maybe left him alone. He was not going to let some pointy looking trio that came from the snake vine that probably supplied their disgusting poison humiliate him next time. Uncle Marny was wrong! He only told Bob to watch out for colourful plants but this was as plain green as the grass below. If only he knew, he would be more careful.

[Festival of Illusions] Just as lost as you are! (Nira'lia)

“Why… why would I want poison ivy…?”

The Konti felt utter disbelief at the moment. Nonetheless, when she was done taking care of the rashes on his hands, she suddenly felt bad. She had overreacted. Of course, it was highly plausible that Bob was telling the truth, and upon hearing his question, she was convinced that she was the bad person here. He really had no idea what poison ivy was!

“This is poison ivy, and it causes you to itch or blister terribly. You need to stay away from it,” she explain softly, telling him about what she knew about the plant. “You can recognize it by the leaves… look, it’s a trifoliate. There are three almond-shaped leaflets. Will you be able to tell next time…?”

Nira’lia let go of his hands and stood up straight. She then walked along the path of poison ivy. The ivy got thicker along the path but it was easy enough to walk away from them, and she gestured for Bob to be more careful this time. The Konti had no idea where this path was leading, but there was a gut instinct that the exit was that way.

“There’s a lot of ways to prepare yarrow, and I’m not too knowledgeable about medicinal plants yet. If you’re really interested, you can probably look in a book, and then maybe you can teach me!” she said enthusiastically as they walked. Nira’lia realized that she had been lost in her own world when she had explained it earlier, and as such she was trying her hardest to speak in laymen’s terms this time around. “But like most plants, it can be made into a paste. It’s not too difficult to make. You just grind the leaves and put it in boiling water… keep mixing it until it thickens and it’ll turn into a useful paste. Bob, you should try that! Take these yarrow… remember, yarrow… and make paste for yourself!”

She felt like they had been walking for several bells, though she couldn’t tell for sure, and it might have simply been paranoia.

Turning to Bob, her face laden with worry, she said, “I’m starting to get scared… how are we going to find our way out?”

Comments:
I wish Bob wouldn't have retired because I was beginning to get really into it. It's kind of like when you're reading the last book of your favorite series and it's a cliffhanger. I would've loved to see how they got out alive. I think all the lores and XP are self explanatory but any questions, comments, or concerns please do let me know! If you would like to see something changed or added, just shoot me a PM and I'll be sure to see what I can do!
