So much to learn and understand, but such knowledge would be key to understanding things. After all elightenment must be found through diligent practice and knowledge, so magic itself had to at least be the same. After Miro expressed the need for review Ricky knew the next step wouldn't be an easy one, but what step is when it came to learning a new thing?

"Well so far...I get the feel of how djed works. The way Flux has drawbacks does make sense..." Ricky pondered on everything, although it was a lot to understand he felt as if he had a grasp. "I would like to know exactly, what is involved within the next step?"

[Avain Manor]Miro the Magician (Miro)

Postby Miro on November 2nd, 2012, 6:33 am

Miro only smiled at Ricky's response. He had frightened him before, but that was over with. What the wizard had in mind was only a shortcut. The side effects were few, such as being drawn on or having magic come too easily. Worse sacrifices were made attempting to learn magic, this would be little to complain about.

"It is nothing to worry over. What I have in store for you is a bit of help from a world magic, glyphing. I simply draw a few runes on you and it will assist the flow of djed. But I also have something else in mind. I can possibly cast the spell for you. If I am right, it would work by allowing you to experience it for yourself. However, this is a discipline that can be a bit complicated. To ensure effective results, I must prepare a bit."

Instantly the wizards face turned puzzled, as if pondering something hard. The truth of it was that he was not well practiced in the skill. His plan to create channels for the pathways would work, if only slightly, but he also planned to use a focus. It could store magic, such as a reimancy spell thrown at it, but could it work with the Flux? Even if it could, his skills had never produced much of a reliable focus. The amount of magic able to be stored was minimal.

The results were what mattered though. He could afford to fail, blaming it on the trickiness of magic. No doubt, a novice would still think him all powerful. The sheer amazement was captivating enough for all sorts of fantasies to crawl in. For now he would just try his best to get the job done. He was not a master in the ways of the Flux. Teaching to cast magic in one session, it was almost impossible.

No, it was possible, but at a cost. His understanding would be broken, giving him the ability to use it, but none of the knowledge that come with controlling it. He would be on his own, at least until he could get further instruction. The task seemed daunting, but he couldn't back down. Glyphing was the key. With it he could show Ricky what he needed and push him in the right direction from there.

Miro sighed turning away from his student. "Sorry to make you wait, but I need to go set up. Don't worry though Ricky, I will show you the ways of magic." He casually strolled out of the common area, receding into his room. On a shelf near the back of the room were his paint containers. He hadn't a brush, but instead was gifted with sharp nails.

With a flick of the wrist the container was opened. The boy quickly dipped the finger nails of his right hand in, readying for the experiment. First he would get a bit of practice arranging sigils to enhance the flow of magic, then he would have to test the Flux in a focus. It would do something, of that he was sure.

Now he had to decide what symbols and sigils would assist the flow of djed and enhance the flux best. "A set of glyphs guided by a barrier of specially designed runes could work. It would direct and contain his magic's flow, so lining his arm would be ideal. And to create a link to the focus, a special sigil on his hand to channel the magic. That along with a few practice focuses and I can give Ricky a big head start."

Miro hesitated for a moment though. Would his pride truly allow him to misguide and deceive his apprentice? He deserved to know the truth of the difficulty and risk that using magic held, but such lessons often took years to fully explain. The boy sighed, preparing his voice. Just because what he had do was difficult and troublesome did not change the fact that it was right.

"Ricky, come in here. Let me give you a lesson on world magic. I will show you glyphing, the ideal tool to assist in containing and controlling your magic. It is your job as a student to research any things I teach you before application however. I am only showing you the tools and skills that can guide you safely on your journey through magic. But know, magic is never safe, never without risk. That is why care must always be taken. Come, prepare yourself for another lesson. It will be your guide on this path to magic."

[Avain Manor]Miro the Magician (Miro)

He and Odis waited patiently within the common room, Ricky twindling his thumbs as he wondered what all the risks he was taking involved. He had heard magic makes some people go crazy, only to those who carelessly used or abused their powers. Even if his intentions were good he was still human, like the rest of those who no doubt believed they would learn it to only help those around them. Surely there were those before him that believed the same thing, the naive deniability that it wouldn't happen was one he didn't overlook. He knew very well that magic is power, and power can easily change who ever it touches.

When Miro called him into his room, he silently stood up to brace his being for what Miro had to teach. Odis stood on all fours with tail wagging, until his master told him no. The dog looked questionable to Ricky, which he only pointed and commanded the dog stay. Odis then rolled over onto a cushion, as if he were trying to rub something off his back. Ricky grinned as he took it as a sign that Odis would stay, and went into the chambers Miro had vanished within. He looked occupied with his lesson, but something Ricky didn't expect one bit was the paint.

"Glyphing?" The term bubbled in his mind faster than a stew on the stove, his curiosity had boiled within from the vast deep. It was world magic or so Miro stated, something to prove valuable no doubt should Ricky need to pull off magic in general.

Taking a seat he watched his new teacher with determination, after all he agreed after the test that there would be no hesitating. None what so ever, for once he passed Miro's test there was no going back. It wad all in Miro's hands now.

With deep smooth breathes to keep a cool head, he made sure to remove any doubt at this point. Preparing his mind to learn the grest deal he must, he nodded to Miro with determination. "What do I need to learn?"

[Avain Manor]Miro the Magician (Miro)

Postby Miro on November 3rd, 2012, 10:01 am

"What you must learn now is rather simple. In order to help you understand what I will do to assist your initiation in the Flux, you will watch me perform a practice ritual on myself. It is very simple, and will carry very little risk. If it is dangerous, well then, be glad it is happening to me. Remember though, being brave in magic leads to great failure or great reward. Luck can be as important as preparation when avoiding a magical mishap. More than a few times I have taken recoil from my own spell."

Miro withdrew his fingers and brought them to hover above his left hand. He opened his palm as he dropped a finger to land in his palm, forming a small circle in its center. The wizard was careful to ensure that each movement was calculated and carried out precisely, even allowing his apprentice full view of it. In the circle, he drew a horizontal line, careful not to allow it to collide. The design on his own body would remain simple, needing to exist as nothing more than practice. For each step he would strive to learn an improvement.

Heavy breaths in and out steadied his hand once more, filling and emptying his lungs in a fluid motion. It was important that each stroke was intended, to have purpose behind them. Symmetry and a strong will to dedicate a task to each mark, it was the only way to find success. Miro drew a semicircle on both the left and right side of the center circle, creating an additional circle broken into two equal parts. This would serve as the base for his barrier, the start of a path meant to guide the djed more strictly.

"See now, what I have done is only a start. This rune in my palm is meant to guide and assist the energy to my palm. If casting reimancy I may find my res flowing from my hand much easier, or perhaps connecting better with a focus when using flux. The half circles are the start of a path though, a barrier to restrict the flow of djed within. For each mark, a special purpose and meaning is applied. My will, my intentions, they are what give these markings power. A well prepared glyph will increase your control over magic, making casting much faster and less likely to backfire."

Once again the boy dipped his fingers, readying for the next section of the glyph. The barrier that would work to restrict magic flow, to be an unbreachable safety net. Miro placed his finger just outside the semicircle on the left part of his wrist. Very steadily he pulled his finger down through the part circle, forming another circle like a link in a chain. In between the two shapes was a small oval, and in it Miro drew a small horizontal line. The formation had only just began to reach the end of his hand, but he could see it all clearly in his mind.

It was as simple as putting the same amount of care and focus into each part. The rest of the barrier would be simple, just an imitation of the previous rune. The true difficulty would come from the amount of will put into each rune, for it only took a moment of distraction for disaster to break though. "Now, you may be thinking that I am taking a long time. This barrier is very similar to a chain, you see. If I fail to put my full effort and attention into each rune my magic will be weak. A weak link in the chain is all it takes for the entire glyph to break and cause havoc."

The wizard carefully eyed his previous rune once more, noting the positioning in the half circle as not impede his central sigil. With another deep breath he began to trace a copy exactly opposite the previous, creating an identical horizontal slash in the small ovular gap. The hardest part of the process was nearly over, and so far he had done well. Now he would be able to create the remaining circular shapes much more rapidly, just as long as his intention was sharp in mind.

Miro, much like in the drawing his first link, drew a circle that was slightly overlapped. As his finger moved in a fixed pattern he reminded himself of the protection it was to provide. Still chanting silently, he continued, creating circle after linked circle. The pattern led all the way to the crease of his elbow. And in Each of the connecting loops he drew another slash, noting its purpose to connect and steady the bond between the barrier. With the last mark finding its place, he was ready to start again parallel.

Continuing his trance, he traced a parallel and identical match for his barrier. A chain of semicircles connected with small slashes. His palm, wrist and forearm were now covered in tiny circles and slashes. It likely did not look to be a powerful product of magic, but not all things could be so impressive. There were only two steps left before his trial channeling glyph would be finished. First he would make a glyph opposite the one on his palm. Then it was as simple as connecting the two with a special sigil to pull it all together.

For now he would start with the sigil on the crease of his elbow. It would be dissimilar to the primary rune, but only slightly. Miro renewed his paint supply and started by drawing a large circle along his straightened arm, creating a rune that engulfed most of his available arm. Then, connecting to the barrier he made another set of small links, one on each side. He allowed them to intercept his elbow's rune, unlike its counterpart on his palm. He then finished the sigil by creating a small identical horizontal slash in the large circle and two tilted vertical slashes where the barriers connected.

And finally he could finish the prototype off. His mind was feeling a slight bit of strain from constant focus, but beside the slight mental fatigue his morale was still kept high. He was sure that even though the process could be long and tedious, his student would still be doing fine to follow along. "As you can see, the glyphs are arranged to hold as much symmetry as possible. I keep focus as to make no unintended marks or stray away from my vision. But more important than the skill in drawing is the feeling put in. My barrier and concentration sigils are complete. Now I only seek to complete my glyph with a track for my djed to move along."

Once more Miro would dip his fingers into the canister of paint, quickly moving back to hover above the original circle formed on his palm. He squinted his eyes as he lowered his nail carefully to the left end of the center circle's slash mark. With a firm press, the boy dragged his finger down, making a wavelike pattern along the gap between his barriers. The swooping shape kept a consistent sizing, following down his arm until it met the right end of his elbow circle's slash.

Continuing from the bottom sigil, the wizard created a symmetrical wave pattern, crossing the other at even intervals, making a series of ovals connected end to end, coming to a close at his elbow and palm. His glyph was completed, and quite perfect, apart from a few sloppy lines. Apart from circles having an odd shape, lining up in an odd way here or there, it was impressive. Maybe he wasn't as out of practice as he thought.

Both the master and student surely could use a moment for break, then it would be onto phase two of preparation. Already several ideas for improvement came to mind. There was but one note left to finish the section on self glyphing. "Though paint is not the easiest substance to remove, there is little need to worry. A glyph will fade with use, meaning that the effects are quite temporary. One half of the preparation finished. What comes next is more fun. It will take less time and remain quite simple, but is much harder to accomplish."

[Avain Manor]Miro the Magician (Miro)

Continuously watching without end in silence, Ricky watched Miro paint slowly and carefully on his arm. Listening to each of the explanations he provided before continuing, as he would then completely zone out into another trance while painting. Such willpower and determination was all put in his concentration, Ricky was even sweating himself just by watching Miro work hard.

He gathered a great deal by watching, even more when Miro explained what the glyphs did. Their odd symbols and unusual markings represent the very symbol of wisdom and power, and as Miro kept away with his focused work of magical art Ricky felt even more sure that what Miro was doing was indeed important.

Every keen aspect of the runes and signets were no doubt important, and the carefully linked chains were more than proof that what he was doing involved important symmetry. Finally Miro came to finish the second part.

After hearing him speaking of completing the glyph, a mixture of relief, excitement, and nervousness filled within. All this talk of barriers made him think of them as protective enchantments, but in a way they seem to be. If they enhance a user's abilities safely then obviously these runes were written barriers bound in words; a laguage that was the form of magic.

Miro finished and spoke of the next step with more enthusiasm, saying the next step was more fun and simple. Ricky was relieved even more, he was afraid that should he need to copy Miro's glyph then he would do a rather poor job. As for fun Ricky could have cared more or less, he learned a lot as it was and his brain began to rather hurt from it, but when it came to studiously watching Miro his attention and fascination never diverted from the wise man. Still the next part of the lesson was continuing on, and Ricky was going to follow through with or without breaks.

He nodded to Miro with curiousity brimming out his head, as no doubt the next step required Ricky to follow through with Miro's important instruction. "What do ya need me t'do?"

[Avain Manor]Miro the Magician (Miro)

Postby Miro on January 6th, 2013, 1:54 pm

"What I need you to do now is to listen. This is a very important theme to wrap your mind around. The relationship that the Flux introduces, it is balance between the body and the spirit. The Flux allows you to influence your pathways, the Djed streams that flow within your body. What you must do is learn what you are about to experience. Only through that can you expect to harness the gift of the Flux.

I can not simply give you the magic, that is not how it works. To learn the Flux, you must understand the discipline it requires, the path you must walk. There is a difference between flowing Djed through your pathways and flowing the Djed of your pathways. This is not energy that comes from the soul, it is the energy of the body you are directing. It comes at the expense of your soul, keep this in mind.

Take too much at once, you leave your body unbalanced, overflowing and weakened at the same time. You will lose control, destroy yourself, unless you know discipline. Take too often and you will run your soul dry, experience overgiving. When this happens, you can count on losing control.

Now, I can't help but feel it unnecessary for me to repeat myself, but here I go. If I see Ricky someday struggling with his magic, going out of control...I will not hesitate to kill you. Though, I will still mourn your loss. Magic has a reputation for such destruction."

Miro cast his hand up, and with it an amount of Res. He guided the substance up and transmuted it to water that would splash against his apprentice’s face. "Cheer up though, with a teacher like me that won't happen. Just listen closely, take it to heart, never forget. Apply that mantra to all I say." The boy flashed a smile before turning back to his Glyphing supplies.

"Give me but a moment, I will test this, then have it ready for you. It will be my gift to you, an experience of magic. It should be just like the real thing, well, because it is. A redirection of energy within your body, your goal in learning the discipline. That way you will know when you've done it, what it feels like, all of that stuff."

Miro just shrugged the man off, ignoring all he would say to focus on his work. It was the students job to listen. He secretly hoped Ricky would get impatient with him, a chance to snap at him for lacking discipline. He opened his inscribing paint and began to draw on the ground before him. He only needed a focus, a glyph to retain an imprint of his magic.

He crafted a large circle all around him, then made an 'x' across it. In the center he drew another circle, and a '+' to intersect the already present shape. Within each of the four quadrants formed by the 'x' he filled in a triangular shape that lead into the center circle. It was simple, yet it would be functional.

The wizard slipped his shoes off and stood on the rune. For a moment he brought his hands together and focused on the Djed pathways within his body. His targets were selected, and with it his posture changed. He held both of his arms out before him. They were propped up, as if he held something in his hands for Ricky.

Miro focused on the energy in his left arm, the pathways of Djed, the backbone of existence. Through these channels pulsed his body's energy, the source he would tap into. Slowly he adjusted the flow, redirecting a modest amount. His left arm grew heavier, slowly lagging until it lay limp at his side. His right however, it felt twice as strong, moved with ease and grace.

In his mind he pressed the effect of the magic onto the glyph to imprint it. The spell was recorded, and the redirection dispelled. Miro stepped off, took a deep breath, then stepped back onto it. He both hoped that his assumed theory would be proven true, and if not, mercy from the gods. He lifted his foot and stamped firmly down onto the floor where the symbol rest.

With his arms held up again he awaited the effect. As expected, just as before, his left arm weakened while his right strengthened. It was just as before and forced the change, his Djed being spent to alter his body’s natural flow. It worked well, safe to be used on his apprentice. He would just repeat the trial, only substitute in Ricky to receive its effect.

The previous focus had disappeared, but he could recreate it easily enough. Miro dropped down to the floor are wet his fingers again. He drew the initial circle, the ‘x’ within, then the smaller circle and finally he created the triangles. The form recreated, he stepped within. Again he placed his hands together and tuned himself with his pathways.

Again he directed a moderate stream from his left arm to his right, the energy slipping out one arm, into his core, then into the other arm. He imprinted the effect into the rune and cancelled the effect. It was ready for his apprentice, but he did not intend on recreating the effect a third time. He would have to make this one time count.

”Alright Ricky, it is ready for you. Everything is in line, just step onto the rune and focus. Try to tune yourself with your body, the energy within it. When you are ready, tap your foot, feel the change, experience the Flux. Center yourself, I am only doing this one time.”

[Avain Manor]Miro the Magician (Miro)

Postby Ricky Maze on January 18th, 2013, 7:05 pm

The lesson Miro was giving was indeed quite epic for the fisherman, he did his absolute best to pay attention to Miro during his speech; but there was more to it then just listening. Ricky had to grasp and understand what Miro was telling him, he had to comprehend how all of this worked and what he would have to do...should he learn how to do it.

The relationship is a balance between the body and spirit, therefore heightening your body's energy would require your spirit's energy in order to maintain that balance. What Ricky required was discipline in this, or so Miro stated, and the fisherman actually agreed a bit. This type of ability required knowledge and knowledge could cover a wide spectrum of things related to the ability. Miro was capable of providing the necessecities but that still meant Ricky would have to learn more.

Taking too much at once or too often were bad results, the term "overgiving" was unfamiliar to Ricky but by the sound of it he didn't want to find out. Not the hard way at least. After Miro warned he would kill Ricky should he tread down a darker path the fisherman gulped, the idea that such power was in fact dangerous seemed more than a little intimidating now. That is until water from thin air flew into his face, washing away all trace of discouraged thoughts with an assurance that he wouldn't let such a thing happen to the fisherman.

Ricky was about to ask about several things to remove any other doubts he may have had, but held in his words as he felt it best to remain patient with Miro. Words were key in obtaining knowledge but so was observing, and what Ricky observed was a rather strange "ritual" as he would prefer to. Miro crafted before him a unique circle, one that was filled with different signs with meanings he had no idea of. He interpreted to the best of his ability though that it was a glyph, one that could probably help "activate" this experience Ricky was about to have.

Miro stood in the middle of this circle or glyph barefoot, a key note to Ricky that must've been a requirement of sort. It was then in his concentrated expression Miro changed, his arms extended out in the manner that gave the impression of offering Ricky something. The fisherman was unsure of what to do besides watch and observe, he felt it better to wait until he was ordered to do something. Which soon happened.

Ricky was to step on the rune and focus, the glyph he believed would do the hard part if he did his. 'Focus on tunin in with yer energy.' He repeated in his mind as he finally stood on the rune. Gravity felt as though it had increased upon him, it made the fisherman feel heavier with nervousness. He wasn't going to turn back now though, for this was a safe method of learning this. Miro had given his word more than once, so even if it was natural to be nervous Ricky had nothing to really fear. He took deep breathes and rested his eyes, and searched deep within for this energy he felt earlier before.

Somewhere inside his spirit he could feel something, the vast call that longed for knowledge in what he was doing. He had no idea what to expect and that was rather fustrating, but if he would focus and look past this then surely he would find what he needed. What Miro asked him to find was that energy within his body, and should Miro be observing closely he would see it upon Ricky's wet face. He was searching for it. He was not looking but feeling with his mind, he was seeking to feel this channel or this energy. Something. Anything would do if it felt correct. He lost himself in the idea that he was searching, and hoped that would help him tune in to this energy.

It would take about several chimes but finally he felt himself, something within the deep dark traces as it moved through. Its flow so soft and smooth one would thing it a serpent, tucked away in his body as if it were a faint presence. A being that always remained hidden, never willing to reveal itself to those that sought it. Was this really what he was after? Could that faint feeling be the potential energy he was after? He didn't question it, only looked into following it until he could detect its source. He focused so hard he felt his mind muscles actually flex, mostly in his temples of the skull, in an attempt to speed the process. It wasn't until after this he felt it once more, more present then the faint one from earlier. He felt he had made a connection, and in doing so he tapped his right foot as a signal. He was ready for what Miro would do, whatever came next would be left entirely up to Ricky to feel and comprehend.

Following the tap there was nothing at first, nothing seemed to be happen anyway. Ricky had expected the glyph to glow or do something, with the time and effort put into making it there sure seemed to be something bound to happen. He looked to Miro with a puzzled inquistive mind, until something finally diverted his thoughts. He felt his left arm become lighter than before, not necessarily lighter but stronger in a sense. He wasn't sure how to explain it, or what it was he had to explain really. There was curiosity as to what he was suppose to be feeling, and as he moved his right arm to grab his left he found that no reaction occured. His arm wasn't lifeless, but it felt dormant inside itself. Rather than asleep to the point where his nerves would prickle there seemed hardly anything at all; it was then he realized that the energy within his right arm flowed to the the left. Curiously he focused on feeling this change deep within instead, he had to learn more about this if he sought to understand it; he had to meditate to know more. It was the same repeated process when he started his "meditation" from earlier, the process that involved opening his mind to grasp the conciousness of his spirit. It was a difficult thing to do when you started, but based on what Ricky felt before he had an idea on what to expect.

Sure enough that same feeling awaited him, this time much clearer than before. It shone like a beacon in a dark night, the energy clear and present in his arm. His mind felt it, grasped it, and illustrated it in well enough to give Ricky what he needed, the fisherman could feel his energy in his right arm in turn flow to the left; though it's focus was more to the left. He focused on changing the flow, to see if he could turn it over to the right side now. He wasn't sure to how to tap within his Djed but there was a hunch, a hypothesis he thought could be possible. As he focused more on the tuning once more, he could feel the flow Miro had spoke of before. Ricky was curious about it, he wanted to know more if at all possible; feel.more if he could. He centered the energy within his left arm in his mind, labelling it as his primary target to focus when he was absolutely sure he had a grasp of it. As he did though he struggled to keep a hold of the energy, and when he did he put forth all his effort to hold on. His focus became diverted though when the glyph began to end it's directive, and his ability to sense the flow of energy became weaker until it gradually grew to nothing. His right arm felt awake now, as if a long slumber was at its end. He had to concentrate a bit to move it, but it became easier as the ticks passed by. Ricky however felt a slight headache from the effort he put into focus, and surprisingly enough he was rather hungry from the strain.

Ricky looked to Miro with eyes that showed exhaustion but still had a yearn to learn more, "I felt it lad, I felt the energy like ya said." He confirmed to his teacher with a nod. There were questions he felt like asking but they weren't meant for Miro, more so for himself than anything. Ricky questioned if what he felt was correct, and if he really tapped into his Djed like Miro instructed.

Miro smiled, proud of his ability to show Ricky the Flux. He was bright, but it was not the type of thing one picks up in a day. There was the possibility of a Reimancy initiation, but the man wasn't ready to make that decision for himself. Flames could so easily consume even the most beautiful things. For now, it was the wizard's job to direct his student's life. He would make him more disciplined and better suited to practice magic, guide his learning when needed.

First thing was first, to be a wizard, one must learn to control Djed. "Ricky, Djed is the energy within you, and you know how to manipulate it. Meditate on the feeling I have shown you, practice manipulating your Djed daily. Work constantly at gaining discipline of the mind and understanding of your body, trying to tune yourself with it, to direct its energy flow within."

Miro smiled as he walked up to Ricky. He placed a firm hand on the man's shoulder and looked into his eyes. His irises shone purple, a sense of his relaxed normal self. "The Flux is a discipline based around the relationship of mind and body. Learn to master both, and their balance. Discipline and action, master both, favor neither." The kid laughed and moved away, back towards the couch where Odis remained.

"There is not much more I can show you, or at least that I can think of. This is not the type of thing you can be handed, as I have said. It takes time, practice, and most of all dedication. Oh, wait, I do have one last tip. When I started out in magic, I used things to help me along in gathering concentration. For the Flux, I had a few gestures I was found of. But of Reimancy, I was very fond of incantations. Take a pose to help me find my center, say a few words to pump me up and put some effort in. Things like that can go a long way in a pinch."

Miro got a little bit more serious, happy to have Ricky advance through things so smoothly. Teaching wasn't all that bad after all. "Just don't get me wrong, friend, I am here for you. If you need help understanding, for me to show you something, and of course various questions, don't hesitate to drop by. You and Odis are welcome to stay here anytime you like, just knock and be let in." The wizard stood and offered his hand to the apprentice, to his friend. "You will make a fine wizard Ricky, just work as hard as you did today everyday." It was a lot to ask, but magic required every bit of that effort.

[Avain Manor]Miro the Magician (Miro)

Ricky took what Miro said to heart when he spoke of practice, surw enough being able to keep balance would be a difficult thing to learn; but that was all part of training. Discipline would better judge action as action would reveal discipline, such was the order of balance in the world. Ricky followed his new teacher and friend back to Odis, the dog happy to see them both.

As he took a seat next to his companion Miro pulled his attention, explaining Djed and the process of manipulating it. Ricky nodded to confirm he understood when his teacher was finishef explaining, and thought about how he could go into a sort of meditation that would help him. Magic indeed require focus in order to learn, but Ricky was willing to dedicate time to it nonetheless.

Miro brought up the use of incantations or gestures to help as well, in which made Ricky grin with confidence. Miro was no doubt a man who loved to teach but didn't get to often, judging by the way it was a serious discipline to follow. When he finally explained that they were welcome here as friends though Ricky stood up, took Miro's hand, and gave a firm shake to show his understanding.

"Thanks a ton Miro, it means a lot to have learn this from ya." He finally admitted with a smile, the two would make good friends indeed.

This thread... Wow. Had me laughing. Great thread guys, hilarious beginnings. What would have been better if Ricky was a kelvic dog :P You can def. see a difference in the quality of writing and the effort put forth when you guys resumed the thread. I like seeing progress when people write, and their ability to compose. In this thread I saw it. It was just interesting to me because this thread was first started when you guys first joined, then it stopped, and continued with the return of the both of you. Thanks for the entertainment.

Any questions or concerns about the rewards gained please send a PM :)
