A wide grin grew on Andraste's face as Samantha asked her about her drinking habits.

"One tends to develop a rather hard head when, like me, they had fallen out of the sky." Andraste paused, looking like she was trying to hold in some secret and was just pouncing on the inside to tell it. Samantha laughed a little at the sight but then Andraste continued,"I'm an Etherfal, you see. And it's really during the night that you should ask me questions about my past. All I'm really aware of at the moment is just this life; and that has been pretty uneventful for I haven't been in Mizahar for long. Forgive me but I cannot provide you with a much better explanation."

Samantha nodded her head in recignition. She'd seen only two other Etherfal in her time and they did seem to all have the same answer. Ask them at night. Though Samantha never stood around for several hours just to talk to the creature at night. She always had things to do when she met them. Perhaps should could actually talk to this woman at night to find out what she's been missing.

Samantha was brought back from her thoughts when Andraste started talking, "Forgive me, but earlier you mentioned 'clients' and now you say you do not have a master. Feel free to put me back in my place if I cross some kind of a line but I must inquire; are you a Kelvic?"

Samantha smiled and nodded, "Oh don't worry about crossing any lines. You'' know if you do.But to answer your question yes, though I thought that was pretty obvious with the eyes. In less the colors are blending too well again and appear green. That often happens and I just get misinterpreted as a very tall human. I am a originally a Bengal Tiger or Tigress." Samantha paused and thought over all she had said to the woman since they met. Samantha tried to stifle a laugh but failed and laughed a little loud. Only to be hushed by a feeling of being watched.

"I just thought of all that I had said to you and realize what type of thoughts that must be going through your head. My clients are people who hire me to do jobs for them, things such as hunting down someone or something. And on rare occasions to kill something. This is why I'm usually away from home. I like to think of myself as a self mercenary but I know its only to help me find my Master or Mistress and to keep me from being too lonely." Samantha giggled a little bit and this time let a little of her tiger out. So the laugh turned into a chuffle.

OOC: a chuffle (no idea how to spell it) is the sound that tigers make. They can't purr.

The last thing which came out of the woman's mouth made Andraste very sad indeed. Perhaps because she could completely empathise with her, for she was lonely too. A sudden feeling over came her like a wave of conflicting emotions; and the need to reach over the table and take Samantha's hands. Instead however she looked her deep in those beautiful eyes of her's and smiled as warmly as she could.

"I'm very sorry about what happened to you with the Konti, but I'm sure the right master is waiting for you somewhere in this mad world. And shall you ever need anyone to relieve you from your lonesomeness, my door is always open." she said softly, trying to be as comforting as she could.

She didn't want to seem like she had no sense, but loneliness isn't something she could talk about so frivolously. It was a harsh reality for her. To wake up every morning and know that there wasn't a single soul in Mizahar that she could turn to. That it was only her gods who she could confide in. Well perhaps this Kelvic was going to become her temporary salvation, or maybe just a stranger to take her mind of things.

Samantha watched Andraste as she took in the information that Samantha had laid out. A look of sadness clung to her face then the look of understanding. But everything got mized up towards the end. Like Andraste was having an argument with herself over what to do. Finally Andraste locked eyes with her and softly spoke, "I'm very sorry about what happened to you with the Konti, but I'm sure the right master is waiting for you somewhere in this mad world. And shall you ever need anyone to relieve you from your lonesomeness, my door is always open."

Samantha knew what was happening and didn't like it. Sympathy was not something she enjoyed, it made her feel weak. She knew she was strong and she knew that Andraste was only trying to be comforting but Samantha coudln't handle all the emotions. She'd already had enough sympathy back with her Father. But Samantha was curious, Andraste barley knew Samantha and yet she felt the need to comfort the lonely tigress.

But Samantha still couldn't deal. Samantha lightly averted her eyes and started at the white rose, "Being so kind to creatures you barley know may get you hurt one day Andraste." Samantha paused, she didn't want to loose a friend but reality was harsh and best served cold, "Just when you think you have it all it's taken from you in the harshest of ways. I do not know much of your kind but I know you are from past lives. Maybe the reason you're still here is because of your kindness." Samantha looked up from the flower and laid her eyes on the warm ice woman, "Guard yourself from being hurt then lay your kindness out. And make sure those that you choose to be the kindest too will return it."

Samantha felt a little horrible but her kindness its self was wearing out. She hadn't been this calm or open with anyone in a while, and honestly is scared her that she could be like this again.

Finally after a time the waitress came over...

Just as she finished talking she sensed unease within Samantha. Her words undoubtedly brought the tigeress some discomfort so she ended very abruptly.

"Being so kind to creatures you barley know may get you hurt one day Andraste." Samantha said. "Just when you think you have it all it's taken from you in the harshest of ways. I do not know much of your kind but I know you are from past lives. Maybe the reason you're still here is because of your kindness." Samantha looked up from the flower and laid her eyes on her. "Guard yourself from being hurt then lay your kindness out. And make sure those that you choose to be the kindest too will return it."

For a moment Andraste must have looked like a kicked puppy. Her entire expression shifted to form a mask of utter shock, perhaps confusion. Samantha was speaking such wisdom that the human mind of Andraste could not have expected it. The words acted like a stick to keep her in her place.

Carefully composing her self again she breathed in deeply. She looked down at her hands, gently holding one with the other to hide the fact she was shaking a little. Alcohol perhaps? Or was it another mood swing looming over her like a dark shadow, for her own mind was unhealthy indeed. Finally she spoke, after a pause which lasted only split seconds, but to her, felt like an eternity. "Wise words my dear. I'll make sure to keep this in mind for next time."

Returning to her cooler, more in control self seemed easier that it usually was. In most cases she would have been on the floor, sobbing into a glass. This illness which had been plaguing her for years had somehow loosened the grip over her today. The magic of alcohol indeed. And Andraste promised her self she would not appear weak this time. She would do her best to pretend she was as strong as Samantha, for inside she was made of glass.

Finally the waiter showed up...

Andraste looked hurt in ways Samantha meant to fix but knew what she has said hit home and could not be taken back,"Wise words my dear. I'll make sure to keep this in mind for next time." Andraste looked torn but soon pieced herself back together. And she looked like she was struggling to stay that way. Before Samantha could do anything the waitress was at their table.

The air was that of a slight awkwardness around them but the girl seemed not to mind."Welcome to The Withering Rose! What can I get you lovely ladies today?"

Samantha asked kindly what they had and the woman responded, "We have chicken, beef, pork, salad, and wine." Samantha nodded, "I'll take beef, almost bloody if you can. And a glass of red wine perhaps?"

The girl nodded and looked over at Andraste, "And what can I get you honey?"

"I'll have what my friend here's getting. Allthough go easy on the blood and perhaps more generous on the wine." she smiled to the girl. Looking up at the waitress, she once again retained her glowing beauty. "In fact... bring me a whole bottle."

Andraste wasn't known for being cheep with her alcohol. And though she wasn't planning on drinking till she passes out, it may come in handy later, when once again she's all on her own.

Andraste ordered her meal and the waitress smiled and walked on.

During that time Samantha was studying Andraste again. She always seemed to be glowing and it made Samantha's tiger want to come out and rub all on her. It was very distracting. Samantha narrowed her eyes inside her head, making sure that she looked placid on the outside, she hated being a feline sometimes.

Not wanting to be caught, although she was sure she had been, Samantha started up the conversation again, "So you really have a thing for alcohol. Really bad for your liver you know."

Samantha seemed to be briefly distracted by something. But it didn't bother Adnraste in the least. In fact she thought it endearing to some extent. An animal side of the Kelvic perhaps, which she was keen to discover.

"So you really have a thing for alcohol. Really bad for your liver you know." said Samantha.

"Destroys the mind too." replied Andraste with a smile. She had no concern for her human body. It was just a shell from which she would eventually be freed. A sort of prison where she would not have to remain forever. But Leth knew best how to make her soul 'grow' and she had no choice but to obey the goddess. "Anyway, do you not have any addictions?" she added quickly.

"Destroys the mind too." Andraste smiled. She seemed like she was deep in thought but it only lasted a few seconds. "Anyway, do you not have any addictions?" she added quickly.

Samantha wished her skin was a darker color at this second to hide her blush. Muttering under her breathe quickly she blushed even harder. Knowing that Andraste would be waiting for her to actually answer Samantha growled a threat to her skin before quickly glancing at Andraste, "There not really addictions but my father used to tease me about my weakness to Catnip and glowing lights. It's a feline thing. If you ever get a cat you'll know what I mean." Andraste was still glowing so Samantha had to catch herself from changing she could feel her self wanting to shift, "Like you're skin, don't take offence, but it's driving my tiger crazy. And if I'm ever near catnip I'm worse than a super drunk man who can't hold his liquor. " Samantha kept her glance firmly on the white rose. Her blush was probably redder than the roses around them.

Andraste couldn't help but laugh at this sweetest of confessions. And the line of blush across her companion's face amused her very much. It wasn't a nasty giggle, not a note of spite. Instead it was the kindest, most melodic chuckle, one would ever hear.

"Well you are quite the cat." replied Andraste, with the greatest of smiles across her face. "I wonder what it must be like... To be so in tune with nature, I mean. I have to admit I somewhat envy you. It must be incredible to just be able to transform into a beautiful tiger." she spoke with a romantic hue to her eyes. She began wishing that she too was born a Kelvic, instead of being stuck in this hell of an etherfal body...
