So we Meet Again.

Gin pulled her hood down, earning some stares from passing Drykas, but she brushed it off. She sighed, "You did not know, and I know that you Drykas think of horses as equals, but there are races out there, that would make a slave out of my kind. I mean they would do so to humans too, but, i would think more so as a kelvic, they would lock me in one of my forms. That is more torture than anything else in the world to us kelvic's, to not be able to choose our forms. And I feel, that if I were to mate with a horse such as Horse, I would have to preside in my horse form for the term of pregnancy. Now I do not know if this is true or not, but still, horse would be assured to see me in horse form at all times, and I, as I feel about myself now, would just... I could not do it. So I must politely decline."

Gin gave him a small smile, "I am sorry I went off on you, I really should not have, but... I guess it has been a while since I have had someone to really talk to." she rubbed the back of her head, her long white hair being tussled softly. Her icey blue eyes looked straight at Sam now. She always knew how to respect those she talked to, giving them her full attention.

"On a better note, if you are truely looking for a mate for Horse, I would be more willing to help." She returned to her old statement. Might as well stay close to the subject when you did not really know what else to talk about. "We might have to lead this one around though." she patted the roans neck, "because I fear the moment I leave here, the stablemen will have a hard time getting her to calm down again. Plus, she needs to get her legs moving anyways. So.. is there any way to do this?" It was an honest question, she did not know, even after being here for so long, how everything worked.

So we Meet Again.

Sama'el put his hand out to shake hers; it was an age old custom across many cultures, offering a hand to prove there was no weapon in it. He hadn't meant any harm, and she seemed inclined to forgive him his faux pas. It was important to him they make it official, though. He wanted her to know how he had meant it, so complimentary that he thought her such a fine horse when in her horse form that he wanted her to be part of the family. In many ways Horse was like a brother to him. But it was clearly a sensitive subject, so he let it drop. He often put his foot in his mouth, but there was no point in cramming the other one in there too.

"I would appreciate the help," he said honestly. "You can probably tell that we love our Striders and Seme to distraction, but there aren't as many of the other breeds here. So if you see any perfect Windrunner mares... Well, I'll start saving my gold.

"I don't know whether they would appreciate you letting her out," he said, taking a quick glance around to see if anyone was paying attention. "We don't usually pen a horse up unless it's sick or dangerous in some way. They might even think you're stealing." Which wouldn't end well for anyone.

Gin reached her hand out and shook it with a smile. She took the gesture as a physical agreement between them that this little outburst was behind them. It was actually a relief, knowing he at least understood a little bit of where she had been coming from. Even if he did not completely comprehend it, she had told him what was on her mind, what she felt he needed to know. For now that was enough for her.

She laughed so hard when he suggested that she would steal a horse. "No no, I meant who do I ask to let her out for a little while. I will take full responsibility, and knowing what I am, you should know I will not have a hard time with her. I mean, she has been behaving yes?"

It was true, the roan was acting just like the other horses, if not better. Sometimes, being a kelvic had it's perks. This just happened to be one of them. Being able to talk to the kind of animal you turned into and direct them without much of a fuss. She pet the roans neck, "Or you could see if you could take her our for a quick ride? Or are they against that now to? Do not all the horses need to be taken out?" She knew she was kind of being unfair, but she felt bad for this one, and with a few of her guiding words she felt she could keep the roan calm enough that Sam could ride her if he was up to it.

"I don't know," he said honestly, this being a stable with which he was not familiar. A stable in Endrykas was strange to him; they ought to have been grazing freely, and there were no permanent structures here. He looked around, not seeing anyone. Of course, he assumed she would have a simpatico with horses, but he had no idea if she had the force of will to lead them.

She didn't seem to have a leader's temperament, but he had already misjudged her once and so would remain silent on that question rather than prove himself a fool once more.

"They aren't my horses, though. I wouldn't ask them. You can, though, since you want to free her." He grinned.

Gin shook her head, "I guess, I was hoping a little to much. I know they do not mean to treat horses like this, it is just that sometimes they do not know how to deal with the wilder one. This roans stable, seems to be the only real 'stable' here, except for a few down at the end, most of these horses just have a little roof and a post to be tied to. Even then, most of the horses are so well behaved they are kept in close watch to graze freely around the area. It is only these more wild ones they seem to see it fit to lock them up." sighed.

"When in acutallity, the more wild they are, the more space they need to run free. It hurts me to see the longing in their eyes, that wanting to be free once more. But I also know that the Drykas wish to keep their people safe."

She nodded to herself and let her hand that had been petting the roan fall to her side. She turned to the roan and steped closer so she could talk to the roan in whipers close to her ear. When she finished she completely turned her back to the roan and step back closer to Sam not looking back.

Sama'el just nodded. He understood her point of view and agreed with it, though he didn't know what the reasons were for the mare's stabling. She might have been ill, or have hurt someone, or any number of things. He just didn't know and so he couldn't speak to that without being ignorant.

"We do," he said quietly. "The horses and the humans."

Many thoughts went through his mind, questions he wanted to ask, but now was afraid to offend her for his honest curiosity. They wouldn't apply, though, he decided. She wanted to live as a human did.

"What are your plans for the season?"

Gin smile and started walking away. The roan seemed to not notice Gin leaving or just realized she was leaving and was acting like it was not happening. It was an interesting sight, the horse that seemed to have been so attatched just sudden act like she had never had those feelings and insecurities. She was even acting, if anything, more calm. Gin smiled to herself, holding in a chuckle.

"I honestly have no clue, I just live day by day. I think it is more exciting that way. I know it i not the best thing, but it is how it has been since i got here." She kept walking, not really worrying about if Sam was following. If he wanted to talk he would follow. If he did not follow then he would not. She stepped lightly on the ground, grass crunching beneath her feet.

"You know, i have come to love it here. The thin walls. The endless chatter. It is calming. Something in this wild world that does not seem so wild.. yet in the same hat, there is a wildness about it that can not be felt anywhere else." She mused sweetly.

Sama'el watched as she calmed the roan, assuming she had some way to communicate due to her equine nature. When she started to walk away, she was still talking, and though he wanted to look at the horses, it seemed rude not to follow, and so he did. Her way seemed more of a horse-way than a woman-way, as horses roamed without a care in the world when living in the wild, except the basic necessities: food, water, and shelter from inclement weather and predators. But again, he didn't say anything, trying to make this observation fit into the view she wanted to have of herself as more human than horse.

He smiled at her appreciation for Endrykas, though. All men were proud of their homes.

"I like it too," he assured her.

So we Meet Again.

Gin stopped in front of one of the horses and looked at it, pet it's nose and frowned at the scar it had across it's muzzle. She wondered how old the fella was when he got it. He was a gorgeous black hide horse, with grey socks. It was strange to her, how such a magnificent creature can look gruesome yet beautiful at the same time. Her lips pursed as she examined him and continued to pet him.

Every once in a while, the horse would flinch at her touch, but that was all he did, for she would whisper kind words to him each time. Soon it happened less and less, until, eventually, it practically stopped. She let her gentle fingers brush against it's strong neck and then walked on. She felt bad, she knew it was very unlikely for that horse to find anyone willing to take him. But a little place inside her heart hoped, that maybe one day someone would find the heart to let that horse into theirs.

As she walked on, she kept close to the stables, letting Sam look at the horses as they walked. She waited for questions of any sort about any of them. As she walked forward, she noticed eyes upon her, making her blush a little. It was a rare occasion when she walked about without her cloak hood up. But she was with Sam, and she felt it was more respectful of her to let him see as much of her face as possible at any given time.

She tried her hardest to ignore the stares of the people and turned her focus on the horses. She paused for a moment. Looking at one horse in particular and then shook her head. I had been a Chestnut mare, with white markings on it's forhead between it's eyes. Something about it struck her as different, but she could not exactly place it. She walked on, or well tried to. The Chesnut mare poked her muzzle in her way.

She almost jumped in surprise and started to laugh. "What is it? Hmm? Why does it feel like you are calling to me?" She wrapped her arms around the mares neck. "I feel like I know you, but it's odd, there is no way right?"

She paused, she realized what she had just said and realized that Sam probably thought her crazy. She backed up and laughed nervously. "S..sorry.. I know.. I am weird sometimes... Sorry.." She rubbed the back of her head, purely embarassed.

Sama'el followed along with her, not sure why people stared at her. She looked almost Konti in her coloring, and there were not so very man Konti among them, but it was not unheard of to find a Konti of the Drykas. Kavala was one example, and her sister. But she was awfully physical with someone else's horses; still, he wrote it off as equine behavior, though he couldn't comment upon it politely given she had loudly proclaimed her human nature as dominant over her equine nature.

It had never been his goal to hurt her feelings, and so he merely observed her with the horses, as if he might learn a thing or two about horsemanship from the woman who was also a horse.

"For speaking to a horse?" he asked curiously. "I speak to horses every day. Is that a strange trait?"
