The falcon Kelvic tipped her head to one side as Ginchoeri replied, the other's rambling words mostly washing over Khida. It wasn't that she didn't pay attention to them, for she did; she heard and registered each one. But she could not see the relevance of most of them to herself, nor to the things she wanted to know about.

The question, she considered a moment. "I... do not know," Khida replied. "I suppose... I will stay a while. The grasslands are very empty," she added, as if that were explanation by itself. To another Kelvic, perhaps it was.

"Do you know the words they use? The language?" Khida asked curiously; her inability to follow most conversations had at times been frustrating. She noticed the other woman's fidgeting, and frowned at it in mild bewilderment. For her part, she had no difficulty sitting still for long periods of time; she couldn't imagine being otherwise. "Is something wrong?" Khida asked, reflexively glancing behind her to see if maybe Gin had spotted something in the grasses -- intriguing, dangerous, or otherwise.

Gin smiled again, her eyes soft and glowing slightly. "They speak Pavi, and yes i know a little bit." She paused and answered the second question, "no.. nothing is wrong, it's just.. I not one for staying motionless for long periods of time, makes me feel nervous and weak. I never liked feeling weak. So I sometimes fidget. Just a habbit I guess."

Gin looked over the grass as she heard the wind play along the blades. "I don't know, if or when I'll leave this place behind, but I feel, that I'll be really sad once i do. I kind of don't want to leave behind the friends I've made here." She suddenly said, she was being oddly open. Maybe cause Khida was also a Kelvic.

She looked at the amber eyed woman, just to make eye contact really. It had no meaning, she just, didn't want to remember her past by looking out on the sea of grass. Khida's presence was a welcome distraction. So she just took advantage of it by looking at her.

Drykas. Pavi. Khida nodded in response to Gin, then creased her brow in a perplexed frown as the other Kelvic continued. "Still is not weak," she replied. "Being still is watching, waiting. Patience. It can be very useful. Maybe you should practice so you do not fear it." The frown remains even after she gives that advice; the falcon finds stillness a purely strange thing to be apprehensive of.

Then the other woman talked about leaving, as she gazed into the distance, in juxtaposition to Khida's staying. The dark-haired Kelvic canted her head, regarding the other's profile. "If you do not want to leave, then why would you? Will they not let you stay?" Something she herself may need to keep in mind, if so.

Khida pulled her feet up and folded her legs, resting her arms on her knees and leaning forward. "Can you teach me what you know?" she asked with hopeful interest, not so much an abrupt non-sequitur as backtracking to a prior subject: language. Even a little bit would be more than she had now.

Gin chuckled a bit. "Well, you must realize, I am technically a preyed upon animal, while, you are a predator animal. Of course we would have different views on the same subject. That is just going to be the way it is. And it is not like I have not tried to be still, I really have tried, but I just have not been able to do it."

She thought about Khida's questions for a moment and how she should answer them. "It is not that they will not let me stay, but I have been here a while. I guess. I am starting to feel caged in, by my fears and by the city. So I feel that I need a little change. But, again, I do not know if I will be leaving here at all, you never know what may happen." She pause for a moment still looking at Khida.

When Khida asked if Gin could teach what she knew to her, Gin became confused for a moment. Soon though she realized what had been asked and she chuckled. "I could, but I do not really know much, my strength in the language is poor at best. I could only teach you a few words and phrases here and there." She smiled, "But if you are truely interested, yes I can give you what little knowledge I have now."

Khida blinked at the other Kelvic, and tossed one shoulder in a mostly indifferent shrug. "Predator, prey, what does it matter? Patience is useful. Stillness means you know more of what's around you." But the other Kelvic could do as she saw fit, in the end. Khida left the subject at that.

She was quiet as Gin thought, taking advantage of the pause to look around them more closely herself. The city's daily business went on behind Khida, sounding much as it had all season. Off in the distance past Ginchoeri, somewhat left of forward, the falcon Kelvic could see horses and riders, some bulky shape slung behind at least one rider -- likely hunters returning successful, also part and parcel of Endrykas' normal routine. Small flickers of motion were birds, barely seen before they were gone again into the grass. It was an eminently unremarkable vista, and she was almost relieved when Gin spoke up again, commanding her attention.

Khida's brow creased as she listened, trying to parse out Gin's concern from the words she spoke. "Do you want to leave, or not?" she asked, the better to cut to the chase -- because if it wasn't a matter of being kicked out, then that was the operative question. Barring a bond in the mix, but from what Gin had said so far, she did not think the other Kelvic was bonded.

She shrugged again at Gin's final words, this time not indifferent but rather dismissive of her companion's professed inadequacy. "I have no words in... Pavi," Khida remarked, recalling the name of the language. "So even a little knowledge is more."

Gin smiled at Khida, "I refuse to lie about this, so I will tell you this, I do not want to go, but I know, there will come a time when I will. For some reason or another, I will leave this place. But as of the moment, I do not have that reason." It was true, she did not want to go. She knew that her sadness would be great. But she also knew that with endings came new beginings, she was living proof of that.

When Khida reaffirmed her want to learn the the language of the Drykas, Gin just nodded. Thinking of how she wanted to go about this. Where did she want to do the lessons? "well... is there a specific time you would like to learn, specific day perhaps, time of day? I am normally pretty free. And where would you like to meet? My tent is not to far away from here if you do not mind there."

Khida only looked more bemused at Gin's first reply, amber eyes blinking slowly. She had not asked the other Kelvic to lie about anything. Nor did she at all understand why Gin was so set on leaving, if she did not desire it. Ultimately, Khida chose not to further that subject at all -- particularly when there was another to hand of more interest to herself.

"Time does not matter. I have nothing to do but hunt and watch. It can wait for another day if you have something to do now," she replied, nodding briefly to Gin as she accepted the deferment of lessons. That was how Khida interpreted Gin's deferment -- as the other woman having some obligation. Khida gathered her feet beneath her, moving into a crouch as she concluded the discussion. "Your tent is fine. I will come when you are not busy."

The Kelvic shifted in a swirl of light, and the falcon launched herself from the boulder, flying up and out over the grasses without further farewell.

Gin just smiled as she watched her knew aquaintance change and fly off majestically into the air. She felt as if this would develope into one of those more interesting relationships. They would deffinately have there dissagreement's. Maybe to many to count. But it would be some kind of interaction. Which she felt she had had very little of lately. But she had a feeling that would change. She noded curtly and stood up.

She turned back towards the city and started walking. She was going to go home, maybe gather some berries on the way, and have a nice meal before hunkering down to play some harp. Which she was improving at, but of course she would need more practice to get better at. And she knew that she would have to ponder what she did know of the Pavi language, honestly, to little for how long she had been there. She should try harder to learn the native language. But that would be something on the back of her mind as she walked towards the changes to come in her life.

Witty Remark Here
Nice social thread. Not a ton to give, but lemme know if you disagree with anything. Gin, just a note. AT 6 feet tall, you might be a taller woman, but the normal Drykas span from 5' to 6'5". So tall, yes, a monster, probably not. :) If you have any questions or concerns regarding your grade, please send me a PM and we can figure it out. :)
