Physical Description
A typical Drykas, of a lean but muscular build. His dark brown hair is generally kept short, and those he comes across note his subtle, yet touching green eyes. Dark windmarks adorn his right arm and the right side of his chest, marking him as a man of the grasses. In the storm of Spring, 512 AV, Ronan sustained some injuries. He now has a long deep scar crossing beneath his left pectoral muscle, and several scars crisscrossing up his left arm.
Many consider him handsome, and his features give off equal measures of youth and wisdom. His expression is more often dark and troubling than happy, but from afar he is often seen thinking and pondering.

Pre-Creation History
Ronan Windsong was born in 484, on the 7th day of Winter. The Windsong Pavilion of the Diamond Clan had wielded a small degree of popularity because of its cultural associations - of fortune telling, writing, and song, and in small part, animal husbandry. Ronan's father was Michaeus - Ankal of the Pavilion. He was a strong man, but also known for his intellect and wisdom. Ronan's mother was Jakeyna, a woman renowned for her prophetic dreams across Cyphrus. As a young boy, Ronan was taught some of her fortune telling skills, specifically those related to nature - reading the stars, and dowsing. Ronan had an elder brother Darus - two years Ronan's senior - who was a skilled hunter and tracker.
Ronan was twelve when Darus was killed by a Glassbeak flock in the Grasses - it later transpired that Jakeyna had predicted such a tragedy. He was left devastated, and tried to live up to his brother's hunting skills - and failed miserably after being struck down by a young Glassbeak and found in the Grasses by his mother. Never truly recovering from his brother's death, more tragedy was to strike the Windsong Pavilion only three years later. While out in the wilderness, Ronan's parents were killed in a wild attack - possibly by bloodthirsty Zith. Their bodies were recovered, but were disfigured beyond recognition.
He tried to fit in with uncles and aunts, but Ronan argued with his living relatives, and in anger left the Pavilion. He later discovered the Windsong Pavilion had collapsed into ruin, with no one strong enough to continue it. He began to take many trips into the Grasses, staying in the wilderness for weeks at a time. His Strider Tairell came to him during a bout of fever.
Around the same time, Ronan met Siyana and quickly fell in love. A year and a half into their relationship, she began to show signs of pregnancy. Since she and Ronan had been taking their bond steady, he was unsure of the revelation. But then her infidelity was revealed through camp gossip, and he threw her out of his life in rage.
He spent the following years living on the fringes of society, gamboling in the wilds, and learning the ins and outs of the local flora and fauna. Becoming attuned to the world around him, his sensitive soul survived, always a heartbeat from oblivion.

History in the Making
Ronan has embarked on a journey of self discovery, allowing himself to love, if only for a fleeting moment.
He has forged true relationships, with Sama'el being the most significant. The young Watcher opened his eyes to a road worth travelling, and Ronan took the opportunity, opening his social opportunities for the foreseeable future. He now sees the man as a brother. He has made friends with countless others: Leto of the Treebearer Pavilion, Kavala of the Denusk. Even more profoundly, he rediscovered the remnants of his Pavilion, meeting his cousin Akilah.
His journey has now taken him from his home, in Endrykas, to the northern reaches of ice touched Avanthal. Kavala had tasked Sama'el with a challenging journey, and Ronan now walks the same path, hoping to aid his brother, and train for a possible future in the Watch. Eventually, Ronan was integrated into the reborn Sunsinger Pavilion. His relationship with Kavala remains an unclear one.
As dark clouds loomed over Endrykas, and disease ravaged its peoples, Ronan entered the Web. But an infected astral realm contaminated his psyche, erasing his memories and setting him on a new path.
