Aoren considered the man's request. He didn't really have any reason to refuse or suspect foul play in the offer. The man didn't seem to have any ulterior motives to speak of but the young Drykas was always a cautious man. He typically avoided getting into situations that forced his hand. For the information the man had given him though? Aoren owed him a great deal.
"When the time comes that you need my assistance, friend, I will be there." He nodded as he spoke the promise. While Aoren could not yet tell what the future held he was certain that there were unseen strings attatched to this agreement. How could he have walked away from it and maintain his honor though? The answer was simple, he could not. Whatever the future favor may be he would be certain to make good on it. If there was one thing Aoren lived by it was a code of honor. What else did he have?
"Until then, friend, may the gods guide your path to better places." Aoren gave the man a slight bow before shouldering his pack into a comfortable position and choosing to depart the clearing. He had so much to plan. So much to get ready for. But one thing was absolutely certain...
Aoren walked away from that clearing with a renewed sense of hope.
