Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

She would check in any moment now, or maybe she would do so in the morning? He really didn’t have any idea of when she would let him know what she was ok. He knew from taking her pulse that she was still steady. Meaning her body was under but the sedative was just helping keep her there. If her heart rate got erratic that wouldn’t be good and if it slowed too much well…that was equally as bad. Her pulse had been peaceful…restful. And that was what he was aiming for.

Sleep was beginning to tug at him as well, his limbs felt heavy as did his eyelids. He knew when he had enough for the day…and he was just about there. It had been a pretty standard day; but the constant worrying about Gianne took a good toll on his mind and hence on his body as well. The last thing he wanted to do was kill her. Which is why every hour or so he made his way back to her and checked her pulse to make sure everything was ok. It took time, but everything worth a good investment took time.

He stretched some trying to fight the sleepiness that was taking hold of him. But he couldn’t sleep until he checked up on Gianne one last time. He had to be sure she was alright before he retired for the night. His bare feet hit the cool floor and as he stood his door opened…He had missed her knocking and just heard what he believed to be his name being called out into the relative darkness. He only had a single candle lit so it would be difficult for her to see where he was exactly.

“Wonderful Gianne.” He said as her figure appeared from behind the door…

Wonderful indeed. His eyes traced up her bare legs with a smile. She leaned against the doorway and a sly smile came across Serrif’s lips.

“Well, you’ve slept the day away. Now it is time to put you back into bed to wake in the morning.” He wasn’t sure if she would catch everything he just told her. She was after all very tired and usually he felt the same way after coming out of a drug induced sleep.

All you wanted to do afterwards was have a normal rest. She would feel new when she woke. She would feel normal…which would be wonderful. Her body needed to rid her of the sedative which it would do in her sleep. The medicine still likely resided in her body in trace amounts making her groggy…which would explain her lack of pants. Not that he really minded anyway.

“Come.” He gently placed an arm around her, he wanted to make sure she laid down and got into bed again. She likely wouldn’t remember her current situation tomorrow. Which was good because he would hate for her to be embarrassed about it. He would lead her into her room and gently pull back the sheets for her to lay in. They would be warm from her, still comfortable.

“Now, sleep Gianne. You’ll feel wonderful in the morning.” And so would he now that he knew Gianne was ok.

Morning Wake [Gianne]

She wasn't quite able to comprehend his words at the moment, but he was obviously pleased. If Gianne had been more lucid she might wonder if it wasn't just because she had awoken from her unnatural slumber, but also because of her ample amount of bare body. Instead of wondering such things she yawned and stretched her arms up high, shivering against the strain of her muscles. Her shirt lifted with it, showing some undergarment and stomach. Needless to say Serrif wouldn't have to try and imagine what much of her body looked like unclothed.

As his long arm wound around her, her head lolled back so she could look at him. Little red imprints were traced out on her right cheek where she'd lain too long on a bit of bunched up fabric. Even being so groggy and out of sync she felt a fluttering in her chest at the sight of him. But also in this state her mind was easily wandering. He would be nice to lay in bed with. Very warm, she thought as he led her back to her dark room.

He pulled back the sheets and ushered her underneath them with great care, and she obeyed clumsily, flopping onto her bed with a heavy sigh. She wiggled deeper into the cacoon of covers, pulling them up her ears. Her eyes were already closed and there would be no reopening them until morning. "I already feel so much better though," she mumbled, as if to protest going back to bed again. It was obvious though that she favored the idea immensely. Before she went under again Gianne reached out from underneath the covers and took hold of Serrif's fingers, giving them a little squeeze. "Thank you for taking care of me."

With that said she curled up in a ball, basking in the warmth of her covers a few more moments before falling asleep.

Oh she was just as beautiful as he imagined she was. A real woman. She was too hard on herself. Thinking she didn’t have that half starved lithe figure that some women had. He found that even more attractive, she seemed more real to him. And specifically because she was human she was even more attractive. She would grow old just like he would, not stuck forever looking like she did now. She was beautiful now though…extremely so.

She looked up at him as he took her into her bedroom again, a smile as he did so. She needed this sleep and he wasn’t going to explain why. All she needed to worry about was getting into that bed and going to sleep. As her eyes looked into his there seemed to be some kind of intention of need behind them…was she thinking something but not saying it? He couldn’t tell; perhaps it was the drugs. Yes, it had to be the drugs. So he discounted it and instead just ushered her gently to bed.

“I know, but you need to sleep till morning.” He stated as he tucked her in. She seemed very content right now; and when she woke in the morning he was willing to place bets on the fact that she wouldn’t remember what just happened.

Which in a way was a relief to them both. He didn’t understand the mind of a woman very well. Nor why she couldn’t see how astoundingly beautiful she was. He was sure it wasn’t just him…it couldn’t just be him. And for that reason he worried some; because if she ever went into the city proper she would have her pick of men much better looking than he was. Compared to them he was just a mere mortal; but now with her well he was one of the only men she seemed to have her eye on.

She reached out and squeezed his hand some; which got his attention immediately. Thanking him for taking care of her. And honestly he didn’t mind at all; it is what he did what he wanted to do. He knew what it felt like not to be able to sleep, the nightmares that would sometimes wake him for no apparent reason but just to torture him. He didn’t want that for anyone else; and if he could help her this easily he would without hesitation.

“My pleasure Gianne.” He said squeezing back slightly as he then gently put her hand back under those warm covers.

Now knowing that she was well he would be able to sleep well too. His mind clear and soothed some by the fact that he had helped her and she would indeed wake up again renewed in the morning. It did him good to help her. And even better to develop some sort of a relationship with her.

Additional Note: Hi there guys! Sweet thread. I loved how it developed and advanced your relationship. Unfortunately, if you read my grade request instruction I ask that you don’t ask for specifics because as a moderator I am well able to read for myself. Please don't do that in future requests because while you might think you have earned more, often that is not the case. For example:

I know Serrif, you requested the following:

Serrif: Medicine, Herbalism, Observation, Socialization, Investigation
Gianne: Seduction, Socialization, Observation

However, you sedated Gianne with a vague sedative you didn’t mix up or describe in any detail at all. That, at your level, won’t count for XP. You did brew tea, and I gave you brewing for it, but there were no real medicinal properties involved in green tea with a hint of lavender. The sedative you added was neither described nor manufactured by you, so I gave you a lore for administering a sedative which was all it really qualified for I’m not sure where you wanted the herbalism to fit in… but tea is tea and while it can be medicinal, you need to rp your level and not try and earn points up being vague. I have a feeling though that this thread was less about XP and more about the story, in which case I hope you guys don’t mind getting very little for it. Frankly, other than some socialization and Serrif ‘drugging’ Gianne to sleep with a sedative, there’s nothing else going on.
