The sun streams in through the open door of Zantos' house. It cascades over his head waking him from his sleep. He sits up and throws his covers aside as he walks towards his table to pick up a few papers. He sorts through them as he steps outside to his forge while reading his commissions. He picks up wood and tosses it in his forge as he starts to pump to build the flames to the right temperature. He picks up a steel bar with his left arm and turns it measuring with his mind for the task at hand. He lays it aside and starts the walk from the nearby river to gain water for the cooling vat next to the forge. As he fills it he takes a drink from the bucket and once the vat is full he dunks his head in to wake himself fully. He sets about his task of turning the large piece of steel into a hanger for a lantern. As the metal becomes mailable he plants the cool end into the earth and grips the molten end with his left arm bending it to the right angle before using his hand to twist the end into a point and hook to sit the lantern in. He steps back to look at it and starts to smooth out the edges and make it a suitable piece for the business in town that ordered it. He lays it down in his house with the commission letter beside it with the payment he's asking for it. As he lays that one aside he picks up a sign he made for a local tavern and walks into town not caring that he's only wearing a loincloth. He walks up to the tavern presents the sign and collects his fee of fifty gold for fixing the sign and bids them a good day as he walks back to his home to toss the gold in his trunk with the rest of his earnings and collections.
