Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

Unexpected Reunion (Blythe)

Postby Keyta on October 8th, 2012, 6:02 pm

At first the kelvic looked at Blythe confused as she called out her name. She wasn't sure what she had done that cause her to call for her like that, but shook her head free of the water and smiled again anyway. Then she had to think, the soap she was handed, it was certainly in her hand when she went into the water. But what did she do when she went under, she remembered closing her eyes for a moment as the cold water flowed across her bare skin. As Keyta dropped her head, she opened her hands, which meant is was right below her, and it was still as she reached under to pick it back up quickly. The whole time, Keyta did not let go of Blythe as she was worried about getting stuck in the middle of the water again. The water may have felt great, but not being able to breathe was a far more terrifying thought. The girl's grip on Blythe was as tight as she could bare, which was still considerably weak considering most others. Her grip was however more than enough to keep her clinging to the konti's body and hold herself above the water. Thankfully Keyta was still very light, therefor hardly any effort from either would be necessary to hold her, but still the kelvic bat found a fear of dying from something that felt soothing. The thought continued to haunt her, and then grew worse as she realized she could have easily died just then and there would have been nothing either of them could have done. Her body began to feel cold from both the chill of the night and the chill of the water. Thoughts of the horror began to resurface in the girl's mind and even more anguish filled her. Something that was always there but never a concern to her, the very real possibility of death was everywhere, and she only ever seemed to barely escape. How much longer could she expect to live when she was so blind to something so real. Was this the meaning of her dream? Was it possible to be haunted by something like Death?

OOCSorry for the really dark post, but I thought it was about time to wake her up just a little bit.

Blythe looked down at the trembling Kelvic. "Keyta, what's gotten into you?" she asked, as she did her best to pry the girl off her leg, as her eyes sought out the soap. "This is no way to conduct a bath," she added as her fingers pressed against bare skin, laden with small bumps. Gooseflesh.

The woman sighed. "Just... where's the soap? We can finish this quickly... unless, you're probably too cold." Blythe bit her lower lip a moment before releasing. "Your things are still wet though. They won't help. Why don't you shift for now? We can bundle you back at the cottage. I'll get everything," she finished, as she tried to drag her body towards the shore.

With or without her companion in tow.

OOCSorry for the delay, my muse has fled.

Also, I shall be busy this weekend, so... more delays. Sorry.

Unexpected Reunion (Blythe)

Postby Keyta on October 14th, 2012, 1:32 am

Breaking out of her trance, Keyta looked back up at Blythe, trembling slightly but not from the chill of the water. The water was probably the most soothing thing she had felt, so even though the konti started toward the shore, Keyta stayed in the water, able to sit in the pond without going under. The water only came to just under her breast as she sat there, her hair still dripping and the smell of rum still strong. The girl desided to pick up the soap that was now right next to her and stood from the water. She took a few steps forward, stumbling slightly as her body grew heavier while leaving the water. She walked up to her friend and held out the soap in her hands, hoping that Blythe would still be able to help her lose the stink of the sailor's drink.

Blythe crossed the shore to her makeshift drying rack, and retrieved their things. When she had, she folded them over her left arm, and peered over her shoulder. "Aren't you coming Keyta?" she asked. "The water is not about to get any warmer."

The Konti fell silent as a subtle breeze swept through. Tousling her hair, and causing the transparent beads that still clung to trickle down. Dotting the parched soil.

Unless that was not her reason to tremble. Perhaps, her mind has been lent to fear.

Could she have felt something stir in the water's depths? Blythe wondered. Without there being more cast across the surface than our ripples? The thoughts halted, if only temporarily. Could something have come for her, but left me? She sighed. No, no, there would have been something of note. A tickled sense...

Blythe's head turned back around, slowly. Strands of gold falling across her features; plump, paling lips.

How could she be more than lightly chilled?

"Come Keyta," Blythe called as she took a few steps further away from the water's edge. "You remember the walk, don't you Keyta? The way? Our path isn't the shortest, we'd best be going, lest we lose the light cast by celestial bodies."

Unexpected Reunion (Blythe)

Postby Keyta on October 16th, 2012, 3:08 am

Keyta let out a mild sigh as she was being told to leave the water. This feeling was rare in the resent times, soothing and chilling, capable of making everything seemingly disappear even if only for the moments while submerged. As she left the lake's grace, Blythe spoke a word that stood out to the bat-girl, 'celestial'. The word had something to do with the stars, a sight she had not enjoyed in a long time. So with the word now echoing in her mind, Keyta looked up, admiring the stars once more, and noticing the familiar yet still unknown patterns they formed. Another sigh left her body as she lowered her head, back to the current path. Keyta then began to shake her body, freeing her of most of the water that clung to her, and then shook her head even more so. Water flew everywhere as she shook, and when she finally stopped, the kelvic looked back to Blythe, wondering if she was still picking up things. Perhaps she could lend a helping hand, even if she didn't have as large of arms as the konti.

Noticing her bag still on the ground, Keyta did make a rush to at least pick up her own item, the heaviest of the group. Without thinking, she flung the bag back onto her back, and the wet piece of leather along with all of its contents slapped across her still bare back. The water dripped down her spine filling her with an odd feeling as she started to shake again but this time with her eyes closed and her head flicked back. Keyta's arms stretched away from her body and toward the ground, her hands looking like they were trying to grab for something as they shook almost independently from the rest of the girl's body. Her legs twitched several times themselves, barely able to hold the little weight of the girl up as she struggled to let the strange sensation leave her. A sudden gasp left her mouth and she slowly returned to normal, her body beginning to relax and her face blushing from slight embarrassment.

The Konti would pause for a few ticks of the clock. Waiting for her companion to catch up. Offering a hand to hold, should she fail to make the shift.

"Lets go home," Blythe would whisper into the darkness, as her lips curled into a delicate smile. "We can always rinse your hair out again tomorrow."

The Konti chuckled. "But for tonight, we should sleep," she finished, as she continued on, into the darkness, towards her family's cottage.

OOCFeel free to post again to wrap up if you'd like. If not, feel free to turn this in, and we can start on something else.
