Kavran looked at Vakya and then turned around for a moment, searching the streets. The unnamed stranger from earlier had vanished without a trace, right in the middle of the fighting. He'd have to have him hunted up and debriefed. Information was a dangerous thing, no matter where you went or who you were. And he had seen or heard enough to become either a huge asset or a grievous liability. He nodded to himself and then turned back to face the other three in the group.
"Well, let's review. We were attacked by several thugs, all lower-class and inebriated. There is a strange letter here written entirely in code, and we have no clue as to its meaning or even if it was meant for the man who was currently holding it, or if he was supposed to deliver it... For the time being, I'd say that we treat this piece of our investigation as circumstantial. At the moment, we need to visit Wystern's contact and see what he can tell us. We need to know whether or not these Eyes exist, truly, or if this is deception or a jest in very poor taste."
Kavran then took a moment to collect his thoughts before speaking again, weighing out every word and making certain that he didn't do or say anything foolish or unnecessary.
"Vakya... You're a good man. You've shown us that, and you've also proven yourself just as dependable as anyone. Since you want to join up, I can't deny a fellow fighter. I'd be honored if you would join us. Besides... I want to hear the rest of that story of yours."
OOCI say that wraps this thread up, everyone. I responded to the PMs and I believe that everything is in tip-top shape. I look forward to continuing this with all of you.
