Clyde focused on his res, feeling the thrum of djed inside of it... Inside of himself... As he was the res, it was a part of him, admittedly no longer inside the vessel of his body... But it was still him. He could feel it as a presence on the edge of his mind, still a part of him, under the influence of his will, under his control... He lowered the ball of res a bit more, watching as he/it splashed into the water...
He could feel the waters pressing on the boundary of his form, tiny as it was... It was so easy to call to it, using a slightly different tone than the other elements, but almost by instinct he sensed it and knew what to do... How to make the sound, which vibrated out of his being, consisting of a tiny sphere of res...
He mated with it, pulling it in, gathering it around him, and slowly moving through the water, sloshing around, sending out small ripples of water... Gathering water to himself, and pulling and swirling it in a circle...
From his own body he could sense all of this, watched as his res attracted in the water, pulling it to its form... Slowly he flattened out the ball of res into a disc, and began swirling the waters around its edges, making the water spin and whirl around it...
Inside of the water, he had changed his shape, narrowing and flattening until he was a large thin circle, much better for manipulating the waters as he chose... He slowly sped up, keeping up the current, flowing it faster and faster, increasing the rotation, feeling joy as he triumphed over what he had done, feeling as the water slowly shifted, a narrow depression, widening out until there was a swirling vortex of water beneath him, larger than himself, cast up by his movements and constant shifting of the way he was applying his attraction. It grew and grew, till there was a hole in the lake, swirling around him, deepening, pulling in more water slowly. A great maw opening up caused by him, he could sense, as the last of him was consumed, the last of the res spent, and he dissolved into nothing, feeling the joyous call of the water as it danced...
From his body, Clyde looked on, as he perturbed the water, and smiled a bit as he saw what he had done. He had used the tiny ball of res, and made a small whirlpool, a few inches across... He could only imagine what a scaled up version of that might be capable of... And also, for some odd reason, he felt like it already was a huge accomplishment, if seen from the right scale... From his perspective though, it was tiny and insignificant, just a little whirling vortex inches across, slowly diminishing and dissolving as the last of the ball of res was used, and there was no longer a influence affecting and shaping the waters.
He stretched a bit, only know realizing he had been sitting here for well over a bell, while he had worked on this new element... It certainly had not seemed that long to him.
He smiled, standing up gingerly, feeling a bit of a crick in his back, and popping his neck once, before bending over and scratching Rye behind the ears.
"Good boy. Lets head out now. You deserve a good meal after sitting there for so long."
Stretching once more, Clyde looked back at the lake one final time, feeling a kinship to it in a odd way, after examining its aura, and manipulating it with his water reimancy... Certainly he would never forget it, as it was the place he had first done water reimancy. Perhaps one day the place would be famous for it, when he became a powerful Mizahar renowned mage. He could almost imagine the sign posted there, saying so.
With a small smile on his lips, and thinking happy thoughts of the future and its possibilities, Clyde left, heading back to were he could get a meal for himself and Rye, and a nice rest He was rather tuckered out, mostly from his auristics, but it had been a long session regardless. |
