sinoa sat their helpless as he saw his friend's mind was being taken over by the ghost. Kuvarakh gave sinoa one last desperate look before his facial expression became disturbingly unfamiliar. Kuvarakh's eyes rolled back into his head and he smiled grimly in sinoa's direction.

Sinoa experienced crippling fear again as his new friend was walking toward him ready to cause him harm. Sinoa went to grab his flute but his hand became suddenly clumsy and he dropped the flute in the well.
Sinoa reached his hand into the fountain but his hands were to short.

The creature luckily didn't recognize Sinoa's pygon sized flute as the magically imposed threat it was and continued to slowly move toward Sinoa.

Sinoa tried to calm him self and focus on stretching his arm. "grow arm grow, grow arm grow." he chanted to him self. it seemed to be working and his arm was growing if not very slowly. he was still about a few centimetres away.

The creature was closing in and would be on sinoa in only a few moments.

Sinoa could feel the coldness of the ghosts approach and focused all his will power into growing his arm. He managed to grab the flute but ended up falling in the fountain.
He sunk to the bottom and then propelled him self to the surface.
he swam to the other side of the fountain quick as he could and hoisted himself onto the ledge.
Kuvarakh at the other side with a grin of satisfaction until he saw Sinoa's flute.
Sinoa grabbed his flute and quickly shook the water out. He then got him self ready to make the loudest most irritation noise he could make with a flute. He was hoping this would be enough to scare the ghost out of Kuvarakh body. sinoa's small thin arms weren't in a position to splash him so this was the next best thing.

"SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Sinoa blew on the flute as hard as he could.

Blissfully lost

Postby Kuvarakh on November 29th, 2012, 6:25 am

All around was numbing cold and inky darkness. Kuvarakh did not know what position his hands were in or if he was even standing upright. This was not like the time he'd been possessed by the spirit of the wife of his body's original owner. She had used her skill to make him share her horrific experiences. This ghost had easily blocked his effort at memory manipulation, but had now completely subsumed him. He knew he was possessed, he knew he was Kuvarakh, but for all he knew of his surroundings and actions, he had been voided.

He hoped the pycon didn't waste time splashing water on the ghost now. That only served while the possession attempt was still incomplete. A sudden outside sensory stimulus strengthened the targets awareness of self and boosted his hold on his own control of body by shocking it. But that moment had passed.

A sudden earsplitting note lanced his eardrums and he cringed. He cringed! He FELT the action. The hunching of his shoulders, the turning away of his head, the facial muscles contorting in a grimace, the strain on his jaw as he clenched his teeth. But more, there was an odd shared sensation, just a flash, of... echoed?... numbness in his feet. He felt the fear of the flute, the acceptance of his implanted memory of its power.

Yes, for just a moment the spirit lost control of its feet, lost the sense of control over them. It did not return control of them to Kuvarakh, but the distraction served to allow Kuvarakh to gain a hold on his face and shoulders from the cringe. The darkness cleared slightly, revealing an angle of vision looking across the fountain at the Pycon. The ethereal image of the ghost's head still engulfed his own, but it was likely that Sinoa could see a sort of double image of his own head and the spirit's.

He heard himself shout to the Pycon to keep playing, but his voice was flat and muted and he didn't know if anything could be heard.

Sinoa saw the ghost stumble back with a look of fear on his stolen face. The ghost had lifted it's self a bit from his victim’s body allowing for Sinoa to see the real Kuvarakh's face. Kuvarakh seemed to be trying to communicate with him but Sinoa wasn't able to hear.
He hoped that Kuvarakh was saying to keep playing because that was the only option Sinoa could think to do.
He noticed a bizarre thing happening with the ghost, at first he though the ghost was flailing in agony but he couldn't help notice that it kind of resembled dancing.
Sinoa decided to add some simple notes to his flute playing still playing as loudly as he could but it sounded much nicer. The song he had constructed was a cheerful tone, which were the only types of tunes he knew how to play.
The Ghost's face seemed to be terrified but his body seemed to revel in the sound. The more the ghost danced the more he seemed to lose control of Kuvarakh. When sinoa stopped briefly for breath the ghost would try to run but he wouldn't get far before Sinoa started playing again.

Corpus was busy the last few days with odds and ends for preparations for moving. The ancient Nuit was completely unaware of the ghost dancing funnily, the Pycon on the ground playing a flute, nor of Kuv, whom he met with several weeks ago. The Nuit was busy though, muttering to himself.

"My sled, my spade, my hammer, my embalming fluid, my needle and thread... Am I missing anything..." He frowned in his mutterings and nearly stepped on Sinoa, but instead managed to trip over a small uprising in the oddity that was called the sidewalk here in Alvadas, sprawling himself fast first into the ground before standing back up and dusting himself of.

"Well... A little Homuncullus." That is when he recognized Kuv, "Why you must have been busy ol' chap!" He nearly laughed then realized the ghost, and didn't seem to care much for it.

Having jumped from the fountain's ledge in pursuit of Kuvarakh, Sinoa found himself almost being squished by the sudden appearance of a man.
The man seemed to be a friend of Kuvarakh's he hoped he would be able to help him save Kuvarakh. He stopped playing for a moment to address the man “My friend Kuvarakh is possessed by a ghost! Please help! My flute seems to be helping some how but I can't do this alone!”

Postby Kuvarakh on November 30th, 2012, 3:16 am

Glimpses of Alvadas seemed to coincide with Sinoa's playing. Kuvarakh could feel the fury the ghost was feeling towards the flute playing pycon. His thoughts were again usurped by the ghost's anger. He saw images of magma, imbued with the ghost's soulmist and sent in an unforgiving wave to blanket the '...little pest. I will turn it into a glazed ceramic chamber pot for humans to piss in! I will possess it and make it run into a furnace! I will take the flute and...' He did not know if pycons had any excretory orifices...

First he had to get away from it. Or get IT away from HIM. The pycon drew breath and the ghost sent Kuvarakh's body leaping into the water. It wanted to scream, wanted to drown the sound of the flute with its own voice. Kuvarakh fought him, not worrying about drowning, but, with the slight degree of control he had regained over his shoulders, he had fought the spirit's attempt to plug his ears. But now the water served the purpose.

it was a double edged sword for the ghost though. On one hand, the water largely blocked the sound of the flute. On the other hand, while he was under water, he could not draw the breath HE needed to be able scream and block the sound THAT way. And he did not particularly care to spend his time stuck in this fountain!

Both he and his host body, whom he had learned through the insight gained from possession, was called 'Kuvarakh', were starting to tire. But a plan had occurred to him. He wondered why he hadn't thought to do this in the first place. He stopped struggling, letting the surface of the water grow calm, the ripples waning, the scenes seen through the water beginning to stabilize.

'There...' it thought, seeing Sinoa through the water, its anger finding focus, 'the unsuspecting clay brat thinks it has tamed me...that's it...come closer..."

The Ghost jumped into the water in what sinoa could only assume was an attempt to drown out the sound of his flute.
He didn't have the energy or the power of voice to play the flute any loader so he
followed the Ghost and jumped on to the ledge of the fountain once more.
this was clearly part of the ghosts plan and the creature sprang from the water and grabbed hold of sinoa. Sinoa separated his body in half to escape the grip of the ghost. He fell and when he landed he made sure to separate his head from his body. He sucked in his fork like antenna and made them into spider like legs at the bottom of his head then quickly scurried to the other side of the fountain. he had hoped he was quick enough that the Ghost had not seen what he did.
He caught a glimpse of his flute in his body's hand he didn't know if it would still work but he needed to try to get his flute back. The ghost would surely pick it up and then Kuvarakh would be doomed.
Sinoa was distraught, he had just made a friend and lost him to a ghost within moments of meeting him.

Kuvarakh could feel what the ghost was feeling, when it centered on his arms or face. He didn't know if this was "diluting" the ghost's own senses in those spots, but he actually felt the clay body dwindle in the grip of the ghost's hands.

The sudden lunge had surprised Kuvarakh and he had been unable to react fast enough to hinder the ghost's grab, but it appeared that Sinoa had somehow slithered out of the grasp. A peculiar sensation tingled across Kuvarakh's awareness then. Not pain, exactly, but more like his body was becoming 'fluid' and streaming into the apparition's arm. There was a sudden narrow point of vacuum and this affected piece of him mingled with some essence of the spirit and shot out to lash around the flute like a whip.

The ghost applied a sharp tug to pull the flute free from the pycon's grip. It worked, but only partially. The flow of essence and the intent of its direction had given Kuvarakh enough of a clue to realize what it was going to do. As the flute ripped free of Sinoa's hold, the ghost opened its hand to receive it. But at the last second, Kuvarakh used his minimal influence on the muscles of his shoulders to jerk the arm off track.

The flute sailed over the ghost's head to land in the grass on the far side of the fountain.

His sudden shaping of his body had left him very tired and he was uncomfortable in his new awkward form but he forgot this when the flute seemed to just fall from the sky and land in a grass patch in front of him. He thanked Harameus for his new found luck and quietly moved toward the flute.
he graped the flute with his small front legs turning them into small pincer like hands so as to hold it.
he clumsily held the flute to his face, rotating it around and feeling for the mouth hole with his mouth.
He found the mouth piece and played the flute again, this time with no other notes as just holding on to the flute and blowing was hard enough.

Anyone looking at the ghost's face would have been perplexed by the contradiction of the double images superimposed on each other. The ghost's fury at seeing the little pycon regain his flute, was countered by the delighted laughter of Kuvarakh's silent face as he saw how fate had rewarded his effort.

But the ghost was not finished yet. His rage was truly directed at Kuvarakh, not Sinoa. He had only been distracted by the annoying effect of the hypnotic suggestion that the flute would magically make him dance. But he knew he could block the sound by diving back into the water.

As he saw Sinoa fumbling to get the proper hold on the flute, he once again generated a flow of soulmist. This time, however, he directed it at himself, or rather, the body of Kuvarakh that he was possessing. The misty tendril snaked its way into Kuvarakh's coat and seized one of the sap-pommeled daggers that Kuvarakh had carried since his days in Ravok.

Kuvarakh's clumsy attempt to jerk his arms from the ghost's greater control were insufficient to prevent him getting a firm hold on it. Nor did it stop the ghost from raising the blade high over its head, poised to plunge the thing into the body it wore.

It paused for malicious effect, turning its face to the pycon with a spiteful grin. "Go ahead and blow, pitiful wretch. I will be happy to dance as I cut this villain's heart out!"
