87th of Fall, AV 512
Elem stood outside Kavala's suite, sucking at his teeth as he often did when things were weighing on his mind. His eyes absently admired the stones that had been added to the walls outside of her door, making it even more clear that she was someone of import in the Sanctuary. This is why he had come to her suite that night. Having received a second letter from Nir'alia, he had chosen to not bring it to the attention of the netire staff. It contained information that he thought best to keep between he and his benefactor.
It contained important information that could make a real difference. Did he not trust the others? Not at all. He did trust them as they were his family now. However, outside of possibly Serrif and Iris, there seemed little point in stirring up a bunch of drama, which the letter had the potential of doing. It also mentioned a name, a name of a man who was seemingly immune to the worsening plague. It seemed important enough to bring this to Kavala's attention, perhaps to provide a plan of action. They were all locked down now anyway, so might as well make the most of it.
Taking a breath, he knokced gently on the door, not wishing to startle Tasival should the young boy be asleep. He knew she would be in there. If her door was closed, she was. Since they were all family at the Sanctuary, there was no need for security among each other. Doors were for privacy.
