Path of the Wolf

Postby Valo on November 28th, 2012, 8:57 pm

Noticing Alexe's eyes becoming red, Valo knew instantly who he was. A Kelvic! This must explain why the other men described them selves as wolf hunters.

Despite his intuitiveness however and his love for games, Valo was not about to engage in conflict with this man. His tone stepped down from cheekiness, to a soft melody which it was when he spoke completely seriously. "My name is Valo and I work as an artist here in Zeltiva. I assure you dear Alex that I was not spying on you. It was mere coincidence that we have met here after this fight. So please calm down and take your hand off that sword. I'm sure we can talk like gentlemen."

Valo then turned to William by his side, who was most likely wondering what on earth was going on. "You see dear Williams, Alex here was attacked at the local bar, earlier on today. I happened to be a spectator. And must I say, he is greatly skilled with his sword."

Alex slowly released his grip on his sword, his eyes returning to the dull red when he was calm. He knew that Valo was no longer a threat, seeing as he was an artist.

"Well Valo, it would be good not to anger me, as I have little patience for games. I am searching for the man who murdered my family, and I am looking for anyone who has seen the man I am looking for. He is 6'2, medium build, has short black hair, and a scar on his left cheek. He always carries a lance with him. Have you seen anyone in the past few weeks who looks like that?"

Valo may not be useful in combat, thought Alex, but he might be a good distraction if the situation called for it.

Path of the Wolf

Postby William Hague on November 29th, 2012, 3:13 am

William quickly realized his mistake. This man was clearly no friend of Valos. As he approached he quickly demanded a number of answers from his new guide. When Valo cheeky reply drew forth glowing red eyes and a hand on a blade he almost intervened. But a quick retreat by Valo and a more polite manner seem to put the man at ease. It was obvious Valos was not the man hunter this man thought he was. He had all the warrior physique that William had, which was to say none at all. Though the fact that manhunters were after the man did not speak well of his character. It was not that those who hunted down their fellow man would not look for a good or innocent man. It was simply that good and innocent men rarely sparked the interest of men who hired such bounty hunters. Though it seemed the man was a hunter himself. The irony was not lost on him. Deciding he should not simply stand silent any longer he quickly intervened after the man's question and introduced himself.

"As Valo said," he began, "My name is William. It is a pleasure to meet one such as yourself. I recently arrived from sea so I have no idea who this man is, though I cannot begin to say how sorry I am for your loss." His voice choked for a slight moment before he continued, "I lost my mother to murder as well. It's something you never get over."

Path of the Wolf

Postby Valo on November 29th, 2012, 11:50 am

A saddened smile appeared on Valo's face, a very subtle crescent of his lips, as he listened to William’s statement. How sad it was, to loose someone as cherished as one's own mother to such cruel circumstances. It was the reality of Mizahar. Not everyone has the chance for a secure childhood such as his own. Fate smiles it's most crooked of smiled upon those who had never sinned.

"I will keep my eyes open dear Alex." Valo added, his voice suddenly gaining a morose quality to it. It saddened him foremost that anyone shall lose their family and worried that one day he may lose his own.

Path of the Wolf

Alex relaxed. Neither of these men were threats to his life. The man who called himself William had also lost his mother to a murderer. It was comforting to know that others could feel his pain. Valo had also pledged to keep his eyes and ears open for any information.

"I thank you for your honesty and pledge of help. I do have an offer if you are willing to hear it."

These men would be valuable on the road. Valo had the charm of a succubus, and would be very helpful in bargaining with traders, and getting Alex out of sticky situations. William on the other hand, might be good as an apprentice. He looked like he could handle a knife if trained properly.

Valo indeed had the charm of a succubus. There was so much grace and flamboyance about his manner. A voice so smooth and melodic, as if it was a finely tuned musical instrument. His physique, slender abut well shaped;with a touch of femininity to it. In fact there was a time when someone has mistaken him for a beautiful woman. The whole ordeal was utmost awkward indeed.

Not to mention the effect he seems to have on those shallow women who seem to roam the streets of Zeltiva. Ah how they marvel at his exotic appearance. And how they seem to faint with every glance he bestows upon them.

"And what offer might that be?" he asked, cooking his head to the side a little, in a manner that a bird might.

Path of the Wolf

Valo seemed interested. This would be good if he could come along. Alex did not have much in the way of people skills. He was trained in survival and combat, and almost nothing else.

"I would very much appreciate it if you would come on an adventure with me. I need a man of your so called "people skills". I am only trained in the way of the sword, and the arts of hand-to-hand combat. A man of your charm could bring down even the most angry beast."

Alex held his breath. He hoped that Valo would take him up on his offer. He needed someone to travel with. It got lonely in the wilds.

Path of the Wolf

Postby William Hague on December 1st, 2012, 10:56 pm

Things were progressing at a furious rate. Suddenly this man was trying to steal Valo and leave William without a guide! William felt for the man but that didn't change the fact that he would be up the creek without a paddle if Valo went with him. It didn't make sense in his mind, why an artist would go travel the wilds with a stranger, but then again, Valo had apparently been following the man earlier so he truly didn't know. William turned and look at Valo's expression to try and gauge the man's disposition on the offer.

OOC: Ok, this post is dead. I am going to discontinue this post.

Bic: Unfortunately, it looked like the two men were not going to go with him. alex sighed, said farewell, and turned to leave Zeltiva. After all, he did find out some information from one of the Hunters before he went unconscious. He was told that the man he was looking for had made his way to Sunberth jut two days before. Alex made his his way through the streets, and came upon the mountain pass that he had come through just two days before. He enjoyed his short time in the city, but he needed to go back and find his mother's killer.

He turned to take one look back at the city, and then proceeded into the wilds.
