Haeli is seemingly very strange. Raised within a swamp by a Dhani Priestess, she spent the majority of her life alone having never laid eyes on any other humans except for the traders that stopped twice yearly. She has long pale brown hair that tends to be a mixture of lights and dark colors, depending on the season and what shes been washing it with if she remembers to wash. Haeli has no fear of the swamp, having been raised there her whole life. Predators, poisonous spiders, even venomous snakes hold no reservations for her as she simply accepts them as part of the environment. Learning to morph at an early age, Haeli roamed with the other creatures of the Gyvaka using them as substitute companions due to the lack of other children.
Haeli has very little in the way of social skills. Most humans intimidate her and she is extremely cautious of them as well as other Dhani. Called "Swamp Witch" by the traders who visit, Haeli is treated politely for they tend to make a great deal of money off the herbals she can supply the outside world which due to ignorance she asks very little for in trade.
The witch is very physically flt, needing to be so due to her occupation and location. Burning through djed for Morphing keeps her body slim and gives her whole outlook an almost feral aura. Haeli is often mistaken for a kelvic upon first sight due to her often wild appearance, but she is a full human.
Haeli has many opinions and attitudes.

Raised in complete isolation, Haeli is not the typical human woman. She's never seen a city or settlement in her past before she stumbled upon Lhavit. Haeli was raised by an exiled Dhani priestess in a very isolated swamp along Mizahar's west coast of Falyandar. And though she was extensively educated by the priestess, her practical life experience is non-existent. Haeli has seen other humans, mostly traders that sometimes stop to take on the medicines she makes from the swamplands, though she knows very little about them. Because she deals in herbalism, she has earned something of a reputation for being 'easy' to trade with since she doesn't exactly know the value of money or the things the traders offer her in that regards. Her mentor, Onaztha, taught her careful negotiations, so she is able to barter for cloth, leather, metal tools, and whatever else she might need for swamp survival from the ships that stop once in a while along their western trade routes. Other than running across an occasional traveler or explorer, Haeli doesn't do much socializing and doesn't understand much about human culture. She can read and write common and speak snake-tongue, but otherwise she mainly survived the Gyvaka through the use of her Morphing.
Though young, Caiyha has charged her with being something of a guardian in that region, perhaps in anticipation of the time when humans will come exploring and possibly settle the area. And as time passed, she moved from the Gyvaka to Lhavit and then onto Kenash to be with its mighty Ghalash Swamp. But until then she needs to learn to embrace her humanity and interact with people. Haeli often wonders about her real family and who she was before she became a swamp witch. And though her origins are mysterious, each time she trades with new traders, she often asks them for news or if anyone has heard of the ship that sank off the coast during the storms of 493 AV.
