Physical Description
Tanir has possesses deep brown eyes and chocolate coloured hair, with the occasional lighter blonde streak throughout. His hair falls to his shoulders but is often kept tied at the nape of his neck with a rough leather thong. His hooked, hawk beaked, nose protrudes out of a rough countenance – rougher than his age has any right to expect. Life living in changing conditions has weathered his cheeks particularly badly for his 19 years. Physically his build is a little more muscular than average, however he would like to improve upon this as he sees physical capability as integral to survival in a harsh world – a world he would rather shelter his sister, Tanjun, from whenever possible. He rarely smiles, his visage usually caught in a perpetual frown of disgruntled thought.
He would prefer to live his life in his armour but he recently lost the majority of his gear in a caravan raid and so is reduced to simple clothing – for now. He favours non-descript browns and blacks, the occasional blood red paying homage to the Father God of his city, Ravok.
Character Concept
Tanir spends the majority of his life in Ravok, or in the surrounding environs. His one duty – as far as he is concerned – his making sure that his sister is well looked after. He is aware that she can be troublesome at times but he is the only one she has left in her life. His time is split between various jobs in his quest to hold enough funds to support the both of them. Whatever the cost is, it is small, even if it means the destruction of another.
Easily angered over certain issues, his lack of experience and mistreatment of Tanjun two of the most known issues over which his ire is raised. The others he tries to keep under control as much as possible, pointless rage not favoured by those of Rhysol.
Having been born and raised in Ravok and its surroundings he holds a love for Rhysol, as all do. His own brand of worship, however, is not overly conventional. A bit of a trickster in his ways, is way or worshipping is to actively cause small miseries in others through the use of pranks. Prank is a lenient word for what he does, but he reasons that – to a God – his own actions are relatively meaningless. In this, perhaps, he misunderstands what ‘true’ love for Rhysol is.
He has little in terms of devoutness in his nature, though he has long held the view that the organizations ruling Ravok are the best path to prosperity. He has held back upon acting out this belief in an attempt at ‘independence’. Yet, faced with now having lost much of what he had owned in a caravan raid and having little to show for the last few years he is beginning to sense that he might have to enlist – if they would have him – in order to prevent chaos from touching the one thing he truly cares for.
