[Fountain of Cascading Harmony] Staring at stone

Whilst Weylin waited she turned the body of the rabbit around in her hands, feeling its limp lifeless form in her fingers. A necessary life could feed many, it could stop one from starving and bring them back from the brink. But in order to do so, one must respect life to begin with. In order to take, one must also give time. Her eyes slid to Daishira as he returned, late, but it did not matter, they had he no doubt had his own things to do after all.
"Hey, Weylin! How was your hunting? Sorry I'm a little late."
"It is fine. I was too," she gave him a nod of acknowledgement and tossed the rabbit at him "I think, the hunt when pretty well."

Weylin noted the wariness of his nature, a sense of guarding himself from a potential threat. Her eyes for a moment drifted upwards, checking her surroundings for what could be a potential threat for the Kelvic. She did not move from her position, there was no need to. Her eyes met Daishira's, focused and unwavering before they pulled away. Trust would be made in time, and with it mysteries would be revealed.
"Hopefully it has been prepared to your liking," she gave a smile, but she remained wary, a questioning glance at Daishira but saying nothing to him. Her eyes however were drawn away from, her eyes narrowing at something behind.
"I think, we have company," she muttered loudly enough for him to hear.

A rabbit was tossed to Daishira and he caught it with ease. It was a sizey rabbit, and he was actually impressed with Weylin. When her kindness threw Daishira off beforehand, now it was just kindness and nothing more. Hopefully. The young Kelvic had now started to trust Weylin a little more and with a smile, he thanked her.

"Thank you. It's quite unbelievable you went to that trouble for me. Really, thank you."

There was no time for more pleasantries though, or a nice picnic, because Weylin alerted him to a presence behind him with a quiet mutter, but loud enough for him to hear. He spun around on his heels, kept the rabbit by his side, and looked on.

Oh no...

It was the sounds of guards that made Weylin more aware, if they were indeed guards. Never the less their eyes were pinned on Daishira, and it was the way these 'guards' looked that made Weylin even more wary. Almost instinctively she stepped in front of Daishira, pushing him back so he was behind her. It was a defensive move, her eyes growing sharp upon those who approached. At first glance she would of thought nothing of them, but something was wrong. Very wrong.

"Evening," she managed to say, her hand gently pushing Daishira away. A gentle encouragement to
"Him," the guards were straight to the point "We want him."
Weylin's eyes slid for a moment to Daishira and then back to the guards.
"He is not yours to have," the Drykas' back straightened, her voice turning cold.
The guard advanced, their intentions already clear, and so Weylin released a shout to the Kelvic "Run! Just do it!"
The guard of course reacted to her shout, but not before Weylin could get in the way. She had to make space, she had to give him time to get away. Even if it was simply stopping them in their tracks, to stop them temporarily. It was better than nothing, and so she made herself ready to embrace the wave. Unless of course Daishira had a better idea.

"Run! Just do it!"

Daishira needed little more motivation, even with his injured leg. Now that he was fully clothed though, he would not be able to transform into his wolf-like self. He quickly turned and made a dash for it, running back into the building he had originally surprised Weylin and the other man. Speaking of Weylin, he dared to look back as he ran and saw she was holding them back. Wow, is all Daishira had to think. He'd have to make sure he repaid her in some way in the near future. But now, it looked like they would depart, and he certainly looked forward to seeing her in the near future. If indeed, she survives the guards.

He climbed on the rock rabble, picking a heavy one as he jumped up to the hole he fell through. From the top of the small mound to the roof was not actually that high, it just looked it with the light entering in shallow beams. Once outside again with the outside light fresh on his skin once more, Daishira looked on, smelling and listening for the best way out. The scent of human was least prevalent to the right of him and he ran across the rooftops, making the reversed journey of his initial escape, leaping across gaps from rooftop to rooftop. Only this time, he was gaining height, not lowering himself.

One jump. Then another. Each jump getting higher. The air that repeatedly hit his face becoming fresher without the city's common pollution and dirt. Gaining speed. Leg becoming numb with adrenaline. Faster. Higher.

Eventually, the stamina of the Kelvic tired and forced him to retire. He found himself on top of the university. Interesting... Here, he decided to rest and regain his breath.

Ooh, now I can eat that rabbit.

And so, teeth sunk in the rotten but fresh meat and it tasted sooooo good to Daishira's hungry and parched tongue. He thought to himself and decided, he would meet Weylin again. That last display of courage convinced him she was indeed kind and not putting on an act. Truly trustworthy. They shall meet again.
