Basic: Common Poor: N/A Physical Description Svasra is a young, petite poet at 5' 2", weighting only 100 lbs from having little fat, and muscle mass on her frame. She has night-black hair that frames her delicate features, as it shimmers green and gold in the sunlight, falling to just above her elbows. Although her seemingly fragile body, Svasra is as hardy as the other woman within the cold climate, often taking long walks in the city, slipping out into the hills to find inspiration within the landscape. Fingers soft and quick, it is obvious she plays no stringed instrument, using only pens and ink as her music. Character Concept
One to be stubborn when her mind is made up, Svasra finds it difficult to accept she might be wrong, or in need of guidance. This led to her passing the age of twenty without being married, not wanting to marry into another Hold, or go with a man she did not love. She is able to stand her ground for things she believes in, and will often overcome personal fears to maintain her morals and values. Her protected childhood, and supportive parents makes the spirit of adventure even stronger in her mind, practically forcing her to push away assistance in trying to find her own sense of independence. This makes her feel strong, and though it may be detrimental later on, Svasra enjoys being by herself, and on her way to her own legends. Svasra loves to listen to tales as much as tell them, taking the stories in to make them her own and retell at another time. When she isn't writing poetry, she writes her stories down in the journal she'd bought from a trader, compiling them into a record of sorts. A memoir of the legends and tales that Svasrsa thinks the most important to keep alive. She strongly believes in telling the truth, and keeping things true to the facts, as her poetry is a reflection of honest opinion and her own perception of ideas. Svasra is bad at keeping secrets, viewing that as a type of dishonesty, and is hard to convince to keep something private. In view of this, she learned the difference of a good secret, and bad one though, finding the knowledge to learn what is private and what is not. Many would consider it common knowledge, but for her, raised in a family of pride and the idea of never regretting, being ashamed was a foreign emotion, one she couldn't fully understand. It wasn't until she experienced it herself did she learn, and Svasra now keeps some of her own secrets. There is some of her past she isn't ready to open up with yet, parts her family doesn't know, parts that make her really question what are truly her morals. The weight of it slightly tampering her carefree attitude, though she still wears it with a gracious smile and bright eyes. Sometimes, though, when she thinks no one is looking, Svasra retreats into herself, deep in thought, eyes a dark brown that seems almost black. Legend of Her Eye Colors
Character History
Her childhood was uneventful, filled with words and learning under her father's watchful eye. They taught her the importance of staying truthful, having no regrets, and living life to its fullest. She often ventured to the ports and wondered how it was on the sea, or would gaze at the gates, and wonder what was beyond them. She wrote about it, her dreams coming through the amass of poetry she wrote. Her parents noticed, and worried she would try to leave the Hold, one of protective personalities, not wanting to let their child move off into an unknown world. In an attempt to stifle the passion of travel, her parents began to teach her the legends and stories of their own people. Svasra drank up the tales, and would run to share them with her childhood friends, telling them with her grand gestures and shifting cadence. At the beginning, that was enough, as Svasra found a passion and love for sharing the tales of her people, wanting always to learn more of them. In it though, came the need to find new people to tell these tales to, new places to tell them at! Places where these stories have never been heard! The thirst of adventure began anew, and Svasra, now at a decent age of 19, turned her eyes to the gates once more, and began to plot her departure to spread the stories of the Vantha and maybe even create one herself! Her parents thought they would be able to keep her home by marrying her to a man, as she was past the age of maturity by the ways of the Vantha. Yet, Svasra refused to marry, and didn't seem to find anyone within the men of the Holds that captured her heart. Her parents couldn't make her, and didn't want to, finally relenting and deeming her an Icemaiden, which Svasra was fine to be called. She would find love elsewhere, somewhere she'd traveled . . . someone to tell her tale with. Her Parents
