An inland sea created by Ivak's cataclismic fury during the Valterrian, the Suvan Sea is a major trade route and the foremost hub for piracy in Mizahar. [lore]

The Jade Watchtower

There are two parts to the watchtower on the southern coast of Falyndar. One is the outpost for the Myrian Empire (of what it is so far), which serves both military and commerce purposes. The tower overlooks a small bay at the tip of the headland, meaning that ships can come in to trade for goods brought from much deeper inland Falyndar. It was built to house soldiers and store supplies, not be a defensible structure, so the myrian garrison gets to fight out in the brutal open like their nature prefers. A good host of some twenty-five or thirty of the tribal warriors protect the place, which is more than ample numbers for any nearby bandit parties or pirates. A few piers have been constructed outside for boats, trader vessels that seek to exchange with the native myrians or ships that simply need safe harbor for a day or two.

The other part is the historical aspects of the structure itself. Obviously not of Myrian design or construction, the Jade Watchtower has been around for millennia before even the Valterrian occurred. So old that not even the myrians, who have considered themselves masters of the region since forever, can even guess at who built it. At first guess it could be attributed to one of the rival tribes that the myrians crushed a long time ago, but the architecture is much different from others found in the jungle. To this day, no buildings have been found that look even remotely similar, leaving everyone clueless as to just who built this place. Beneath the tower is a caved in tunnel, leading to gods know where, easily excavated by anyone who's an expert at reimancy but the myrians have not deemed it interesting enough to explore.

Those who make port beside the Jade Watchtower will find their options vastly limited. There is no shipwright in the garrison, so any repairs must be made by the crew with wood either salvaged from their own ship or bought from the myrians. Sailors can trade, but the smaller size of the watchtower and the distance from Taloba means that the goods stocked there are few in number and variety. Messages can also be run through to the Myrian capital from this outpost, but at this location the only people who would run a message through here would be from Eyktol, and most messages are run from the Sunrise Point to the Bayin Watchtower outpost. Smaller than the other Myrian coastal establishments, the greatest and perhaps most unexplored value of the tower is its history and the subterranean tunnel, both of which have yet to be delved into.
Will be gone for a couple days, grades need lifting
