His height and weight is of an average 18 year old boy. His hands has scars from tools and he often seen carrying a doll on his back on his back, as well as smaller wooden ones. ~ Basic Info ~ Personality: Laioath is a slightly odd, pensive and can be devious at times. He prefers to listen then speak, but will join in the conversation. 'Oath has a strange sense of humor. he'll find the weirdest thing hilarious, like a Nuit arm falling off or a Charoda tripping on land. He'll try to hide it though. Ethnics: A good plan comes together if you use your intelligence. In a fight, you must priorities are defence and counteracting thinks he's best suited as a support role in combat. Likes: Reading, Dolls, Pyclons, Toying, drawing Dislikes: Ruffians, eating fish, sweet food, some sea creatures, desolation ~ Character's Concept ~ Laioath is meant to be an example of someone trying to overcome their loss by replacing human interactions with inanimate objects. The doll he'll often speak to is Earnis, His dead sister's doll. Ever since his sister died, dolls have become a major part of his life. He makes and sells them for money, he socializes with them when he needs comfort and he even incorporates them in combat when he needs to defend himself. Needless to say, he has a close bond with them. ------------------- ~ Earnis ~ Earnis is Laioath's sister's doll. Shes a doll who is 1ft tall. she has brown wavy hair that goes down to her back, and wore aristocratic clothing. Her joints imitates a human, and is able to bend and twist like one as well. Her skin is somewhat pale, and looks somewhat real as well. Earnis is usually seen being carried on Laioath's back. She's taken almost anywhere to keep Laioath company, but if things get too ruff, Laioath hides her extremely well. Earnis was given as a gift to his sister, It was from the master she studied under. Laioath keeps the doll as a reminder of his sister ------------------- ~ Carline's Grimore ~ (To view journal, Click on the journal button, or "~ Carline's Grimore ~") Carline's grimoire is Laioath's sister's trusty book full of study notes, spells and her personal thoughts. She made several copies of her grimoire because she'd either lose them, or become severely damaged from research. Laioath has the original grimoire, but the pages are all damaged from his sister's studies. The only notes left in the book is about the mechanics of glyphing. Laioath searches for the lost pages of the grimoire in order to learn and find the where about's of his sister, dead or alive. ~ History ~ When Laioath was 10, he displayed an interest in glyphing instead of physical activities. He first acquired the knowledge from his sister's grimoire. His sister was named Carline, she was an apprentice wizard before she passed. He'd read her notes over, and over. As he read them, he felt lonely and separated. He longed to see his sister, but she was missing during one of her explorations. She was presumed dead, and Laioath didn't take it well. The only thing he had left of her was a doll, she named the doll Earnis. The doll had aristocrat clothing and brown hair. In his mind, He thought that Earnis would know where his sister had gone. He began talking to it, feeding his imagination. As time went on he began to make dolls that represented that last image of his sister, he did this so he can keep her image and memory alive, but no matter how many he made, none of them were truly her. His odd behaviour made him a target for ruffians. He'd always received verbal, physical and mental abuse from them. If he saw them at the distance he'd hide away Earnis, so she wouldn't be harmed. Laioath wasn't the strongest boy growing up, so he couldn't fight back with his fist. Instead he took what he knew and used them to his advantage. At age 14 he learned how he could use glyphs, dolls and on spot planning to defend himself. He fought using dolls because no one would suspect that a doll could be used as a weapon, not only that but who knows what type glyph is inscribed, or what it does. One of his common defence mechanisms is a doll with a sealing glyph containing Reimancy magic, he acquires the reimancy magic but finding mages who are practicing casting bolts and placed the doll in their line of fire to seal the magic. Since there made by him with his own knowledge, finding them in the market is almost impossible, unless of course he's sets up a shop of his very own. The list will grow, as Laioath discovers.   Doll of Fire Description This doll is as Laioath's explosive defence. The doll's look can vary from a well-made doll with clothing, to a poorly made one without clothing. it's made by grawing a glyph on the dolls torso and casting reimancy on it to seal the magic. How it's used: To activate it, he simply smears the centre of the glyph. The doll has the minimum of three seconds before detonating, the length of time can be adjusted during the creation period. Note: The doll is a one time use only. concept: Secret :   Servant Doll Description: These doll is used as Laioath's little helpers, helping him either in combat, or everyday tasks. These animated dolls are expendable and only require one drop of blood. They're unable to carry out advance tasks and can only preform one them one at a time. How it's used: These little guys will listen to basic commands. For example, you can say "Pick up (object)" and they'll pick it up. Just make sure they can physically pick it up, no super strength here. They are also capable of attack, thought it's not very strong. Note: Glyphs can be placed on body.
