Ayda The Ethaefal of Syna Physical Description Name: Ayda Sex: Male Gender: ? Race: Ethaefal of Syna (Mortal Seeming Akalak) Age: A Season Old Birthday: 1st day of Winter 512 Character Concept By day Ayda is stunningly beautiful. His skin shines with rosy gold radiance; his eyes sparkle with the colour of emeralds and his hair is like flowing silk. Ayda possesses horns that seem to be carved from marble into beautiful flower motifs. He shows almost no masculine qualities and could easily be mistaken for a female. His hair is kept long and hangs just past his shoulders; no matter what happens it never seems to become dishevelled. Ayda stands at a height of 5'll and has a slim build that is mostly covered by flowing robes. Like most Ethaefal, his appearance is tied to nature and changes periodically with the seasons.
At night, Ayda transforms into his mortal seeming which happens to be a tall Akalak man. The Transformation appears as vines made of bright yellow light that wrap around his body and then dissipate to reveal his new form. He is much less beautiful than he is under the influence of his mother goddess Syna, but he is still considered handsome to most. Ayda's nightly form stands at the imposing height of 6'7 and has a much more muscular build than his Ethaefal form. His skin is dark purple and his eyes shine with an intimidating coldness of a wild animal in the night. His ears are pointed and his hair is as black as coal. Ayda's hair is kept in a short style which is less common amongst Akalak. Faint scars can be seen along his body and face. The first impression of Ayda at night is that of an intimidating warrior, causing people to approach him with caution. Ayda is primarily a caring soul with a great attachment to nature. He tends to prefer the company of animals and plants, and takes great joy in caring for them. If he sees an injured animal, he is compelled to help it, even at the risk of his own personal safety. However, Ayda will not deny any hunters their rightful meal. He rarely seeks out the company of sentient races because of the pity he usually receives but doesn't avoid them outright. He is usually calm and collected although he can take great offence when people abuse animals and show little respect for nature. Ayda is very religious, especially towards the deities Syna, Caiyha, Rak'keli and Leth. He bears no ill will towards any of the gods for his misfortune and tries to remain positive. While Ayda might seem prefect, he can become easily distracted and forget what he was doing moments before. While most beings like to keep their houses tidy, this concept seems to be foreign to Ayda, as a rat infestation would be considered a delight to him. In his mortal seeming, feelings of happiness are harder for Ayda to have and he tends to be more surly and impatient. He occasionally has echoes of his darker soul that used to share its body when he was alive. These echoes are barely recognizable as speech but seem to alternate between subtle whispers and obnoxious shouts. Only Ayda can ever hear them and they cause him great feelings of grief during the night. He used to try to answer the disembodied voices but now realizes that they are merely remains of his past life and he does his best to ignore them. Ayda tries to Honour his mortal form and do things that are more suited to Akalak culture during the night. Character History Waking from what now seems like a wonderful dream, Ayda found himself in the cold and unforgiving ocean. Naked, cold and alone he laid helpless on the shores of the Kalea region. He was eventually found by a small group of travellers from Lhavit who came to his aid. They provided him with a change of clothes and took care of him until leading him to their Home country. Skills
