A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

In all of the dealings Iskessah had seen Mattieu Kosun have in his life, in all of the years he had taught his apprentice, Angela, there was one place which came up far more than any other. Now that she had free reign of the city, Iskessah couldn't pass up the chance to visit such a center of secrets and dark dealings.
Of course, she had some difficulty finding the place. She did not want to just walk up to an arbitrary Ravokian and ask for the way to the House of Immortal Pleasures. The fewer people who knew her business, the better. She knew what damage could be done with the slightest bit of information (having watched Mattieu and Angela wreak havoc on unsuspecting citizens for years), and she had no intention of being a victim of such plotting.
This left her with rather few resources, which mostly involved exploring the city and learning where everything was. If she visited every location in Ravok, surely she would find the House eventually. As it turned out, it only took her a few dozen days.
When she approached the crumbling facade of the building, she had no idea that she would find the object of her search on the other side. She had simply tried most of the better-looking buildings already, and she after having passed this crippled door so many times on her way across the Plaza of Dark Delights, she had to find out what lay behind it.
The inside of the building was such a drastic change that Iskessah forgot to keep the shock from her face. She realized quickly that she had never planned for what she would DO, once she found this place. She knew it was a place full of other people's business, but she had no idea how to learn that business for herself. A quick scan of the room revealed an unoccupied cluster of chairs in one corner of the room, so she quickly made her way there, to sit and observe, and plan her next move. |

Iskessah took in everything she could about the people in the room, trying to imagine what Angela had looked for when she had come here. Somehow, there was a way to learn secrets here, things that people tried to keep hidden, or information that could be used to manipulate them. The Dhani wasn't sure how gather such information, or use it, so she just tried to learn everything she could by watching.
She counted a total of seven people currently in the room, not including herself. They seemed separated into three groups; two pairs of a male and female each, seated in separate cushioned areas, and one group of three, one standing, one leaning against the back of a chair, and the other seated. The one sitting was a woman dressed in... really very little. The other two were male; the one leaning against the chair wore shirt open to reveal his bare chest, but the one standing was dressed much more conservatively. Iskessah was confused at first, because it seemed like the one standing would be the one with the most authority, but it made no sense for a male to lead, in any group that contained at least one female. Then Iskessah realized, of course, the female was sitting because she was confident enough in her control of the men that she had no need to flaunt her power.
Before Iskessah could ponder the social dynamic further, the group noticed her staring. She cursed, and made a mental note to learn how to watch people without being noticed. The standing man smiled and raised a glass that he had been holding, which seemed to contain a beverage of some sort. Iskessah did not understand the gesture, and she sat uncomfortably in her chair. She glanced anxiously towards the door. Could she escape? But then, would running look suspicious? She had to act natural; the only problem being she had no idea how to do that. In the end, she did nothing. She transferred her gaze to one of the couples in the room, one which seemed to busy to notice her watching, but she was too worried to be able to take in any details. It didn't help that the man with the open shirt was coming over to her... |

Some vestige of instinct took over then; no way would she let a male frighten her off. She turned a withering glare upon the approaching human. How dare he come near her? As if he were worthy of approaching a mighty Dhani, and one of superior sex no less.
Fortunately for the human, he was not completely oblivious. Sensing he was unwanted, he turned away (though he had the arrogance to smile about it), and laid a hand on the shoulder of his female companion. He spoke into her ear, but from this distance and in this form, she could not hope to hear what was said. The man sat as the woman rose, and Iskessah might have noticed him smirk in her general direction if she hadn't been too busy watching to woman slink toward her in a way that must have been calculated to dry Iskessah's throat...

For the next hour, the exotic woman introduced Iskessah to experiences she had never before imagined. By the time she left, Iskessah knew she would be coming back...frequently. |
