To this Amelia had no valid answer. She knew most were scared of what they didn’t understand, Amelia was different. The ones she understood frightened her, the ones she didn’t know, made her curious. That was probably one of the few oddities in her. Despite the constant trouble it gave her, she lightened up when it stroke her, and this was the case as well. The ghost offered a chance to explore, Amelia wouldn’t let it go despite the shadows of fright that lingered around her. ”If you let me, I’ll find out” Amelia offered, as she pulled out her deck of tarot ”I’m a fortune teller, I could try to see who you are if you let me…or tell you what awaits you if you wish” her offer was clearly selfish, to find out more, but then again, if a soul was lost, maybe she could help it even a little bit.

”Our kind…but you were our kind, weren’t you a human?” Amelia wished to ask, but she lacked the courage and so she kept shut. Just awaiting the simple answer to her offer. Still praying to her hearth that she would start feeling her legs again and maybe, just maybe, if the situation gets messy, she would get the chance to run away. But somehow, the voice, it sounded more sad than angered…like a lost child not a murderer…some sympathy began building up in the caprice hearth ”..but if you wish to be left alone?” was the only offer she could give. Amelia still lacked the power to move, she wouldn’t be able to walk away, but she would at least try to be polite. Not enough to change the spirits thoughts in their kind, but...maybe attempt to?

The Silent Lady looked at her. She was curious person like Elaine. She noticed that Amelia took out something. They were cards. She stood up and went closer to her. What was her plan? Elaine wanted to find out.

~If I want to be alone I would go away from here or any other. But human what are those cards? And see who am I? I am nobody but a shadow of a girl from Zeltiva, who hates all humans.

She could say that with full of hatred. Elaine didn't know if she can trust in her. Telling her future is scary but what if she is lying? She walked closer and closer to Amelia. There was more grey soulmist around them. The Silent Lady raised her hands to the cards. She didn't touch them. No, she had better idea. She giggled one and she became unvisible only her soulmist remained. It went in circles up on Amelia's body. Then only seconds later that soulmist entered her body. She whispered to her mind.

~"Thank you for your kidness"! I know it wasn't a dreamy feeling but we don't care about that do we? At least I don't. Now human I'm inside you, show me your cards and tell me what you can read from them. But be awera I will know if you are lying! Even I can have fun here you know.~

Elaine tried to fear her. The Silent Lady lied a lot. She wasn't so powerful so even Amelia would do something against her it wasn't sure she can do anything with her to punish. Even she didn't know if Amelia would lie. But she tried to play with her and try to scare her so she can be at the victory side and keep the situation at Elaine's hands.

The cold voice of the spirit didn’t really surprise Amelia a lot, but she knew that this could be a chance of a lifetime. Amelia was too curios to become scared of the girls voice alone, and despite the small tremble in her words, she answered with confidence ”These are cards of Tarot, see, I’m a fortune teller and with using tools like this or by reading someone’s palm I can see glimpses of their future and personality, of their crossroads… ” Amelia explained, as she lifted the cards up for the girl to see better. She let the spirit examine them, while Amelia herself looked at the spirit a bit more closely, following the pattern of the smoke that was flowing around her. It seemed to become a bit darker, but strangely it didn’t frighten her as much as before. ”I have answers, if you wish to know them” she added.

Amelia wanted to explain how this happened, how she would give the girl a chance to choose a card. Instead, she was shocked by the smoke entering her body, her black eyes grew twice the size as she managed to see the mist swirling around her fingertips and entering her body. At first it was the horror that made her want to scream without giving out a voice, but then, it was the pain that struck her deep. Forcing her to drop to the ground on her knees in pain, her mouth was open wide as if she was trying to scream, but she couldn’t. At first her movement reminded those of a cat, as her back arched back and forth, making her look like a cat that was trying to cough up a ball of fur, but after a short instant the feeling was gone. Amelia was left feeling dizzy and as she opened her eyes the vision was slightly blurred, but she managed to follow the pattern of her scattered cards.

The words that came through her mind, they sounded like the girl and she knew the spirit was inside of her body. The idea was close to horror in its purest form, but she knew there was nothing she could do about it. Amelia didn’t manage to speak so she didn’t, she just nodded her head a bit as she was still trying to get used to mist that was covering her eyes. Slowly, she began collecting her cards. Vision still blurred, she divided them into 5 small decks. Each stood for its meaning, the swords, pentacles, cups, wands and the big arcana. They were arranged next to each other in a tidy manner and finally, after a small breath Amelia spoke ”You need to shuffle each deck, each one of them stands for some parts of you and what lies ahead…we will start from this ad them move to the next one” she was speaking aloud, as she was not sure would the ghost hear her if she said that in her mind. Her finger was resting on the small deck that stood for pentacles.

Elaine looked the 5 decks through Amelia eyes. She was wondering which to choose. 1... 4...2? It didn't matter for her now. She chose the second deck. She wanted to shuffle it when she realized she was inside Amelia and she wasn't able to shuffle anything with her soulmist. She was weak that way.

~I chose the second. Since I'm inside you, YOU have to shuffle it mortal. Ohh, don't worry I won't leave you alone there.

The Silent Lady was nervous about it. What if she will tell the truth? What if she will lie? She had so many thoughts in her mind and couldn't calm down. But she tried to relax. Possessing somebody in her level wasn't an easy task. Even Amelia didn't resist she can't be there for a long time. She focused but tried to not to overwork. She was curious about her future. Perhaps she would get awsners.

~You man's child how reliable is your ability in that? Will you tell me the clear future or it's something which CAN happen but not for sure? Don't forget however that I'll know if you lie to me! And I can have fun here inside of you. ~

She was still bluffing. She still kept the situation in her hands well she thought she did. She tried to keep that as long as she could. Any minutes and she would have to leave the body and maybe Amelia would suspect about her true powers.

Each word that the spirit spoke was like a little bit of horror for Amelia. She began feeling sick from the sensation of something unnatural moving inside of her. The fortune teller wanted nothing more than to have the ghost leave her body, but the curiosity was so much more ahead of her. Curiosity killed the cat; let’s see if the curiosity killed the fortune teller. With that thought in mind, she listened to the voice inside of her body. Like if she was a puppet, Amelia’s hands toke the second deck into her hands, shuffling it was stiff and felt like if there was something horribly wrong. Amelia had a genius hold of her cards, but now it felt like a clumsy puppeteer was trying to move her.

Once the shuffling was done, Amelia turned the deck around to see the card that was on the bottom. This card was the one that mattered and she placed the whole deck down with her shaking hand, placing the bottom card face up for her and the ghost to see, even if she was sure the ghost couldn’t know the card it was manners of a fortune teller to show their cards. ”my skills are a given, I show things that you will make of your own fate, if you keep doing what you do” she used brief words, not exactly saying yes or no to her question. Amelia was frightened to lie, but she was so used to it that she had trouble saying the truth now.

”This card, the card you have is the Six of pentacles…straight” Amelia explained, her voice was trembling and the girls whole body was having trouble holding itself together ”This card and whole deck speaks of money, of things you dislike judging by the card…but it speaks good” not sure how to speak about gain to someone who had no flesh and who she couldn’t see, Amelia toke an occasional pause between her words ”This card says you will soon enough gain what rightfully is yours, but it doesn’t specify what it is that you will gain as it can vary between love to money and everything in between…please… shuffle the two decks next to this one” Amelia said with a weak chough, as she was speaking of the swords and cups. One more chough after the sentence, enough to have her resting on her hands that where pushed against the cool ground, black hair wrapping around her like a messy spider web.

Each time passed Elaine felt soon she had to leave the body. But she tried to focus more and more. It was easier because Amelia still didn't resist. Those words what Amelia read out from the cards it was so mystic for The Silent Lady. She was thinking. Then she whispered to Amelia's mind but in different voice. Not her otherself she was just calmer and curious. It was more gentle.

~ Money. Are you kidding? Love. Are you crazy? Do you think a lost soul who never experienced love before will need it afterlife? Boys are childish. They are rude and wild. Like Alfred... Never mind I think you don't know him. That little rat... Well mortal shuffle those two then.

She still could tell that with being "gentle". She was with her thoughts when she felt she had to go out. It was so sudden, but she didn't focus enough. Elaine soulmist flow away from the body. It wasn't pleasure for Amelia again but she didn't have to feel Elaine inside. The Silent Lady appeared again opposite with Amelia. She looked like an oil painting. She looked at the cards below her. She focused with her soulmist. She picked up one. She tried to raise up but after seconds it fell off. She tried again. After few seconds it went through her body to the ground. Elaine felt weak again. She met her limits once again. Always and always. She promised to Noaru she will be stronger but it was easier to say than actually do it. A little sadness was there. Only her eyes showed it.

~Why? It isn't fair. IT IS NOT FAIR AT ALL. I was just girl I didn't want much, just to read. Only my parents were important... I didn't need money, boys to love... And now I'm only a shadow which can't do anything... WHY? And those humans were laughing at me. I heard. I became insane and burned our whole house. IT WAS THEIR FAULT. IT ISN'T FAIR FOR ME, FOR MY PARENTS.~

She was screaming like a little child. Her appearance was trembling. She lied her head into her hands. That little sadness became stronger and stronger within her.

Careless whisper [Elaine Spade]

Every little twitch of Amelia’s body in slight pain was a torture of mind more than body, but she didn’t resist, she was scared and so she just listened to the voice that echoed in her mind. What surprised Amelia was the sudden gentleness in the tone of the spirit; it was so much like a child or a…teenager in love. It was silly and she knew it. At the end, Amelia assumed it was nothing but a hallucination in her mind that the spirit itself had brought upon her. None the less, she answered, as she felt like there wasn’t much that could be lost anymore ”It’s not our body that needs love, it’s our spirit…you might not want money and it’s understandable…but we all need love and even if it’s just our spirit left” came her voice with a painful whisper.

But then it hit her, the name, that name she said…Alfred. Amelia knew a boy back in Zeltiva, could it be the same one? Zeltiva was a huge city…”I used to know an Alfred” The voice was more of a whisper to herself. She wouldn’t have been surprised if Elaine wouldn’t have heard it, as soon enough the spirit left her body with a painful asp escaping the bloody red lips of the fortune teller. For a brief moment Amelia found herself on the cold ground, desperately trying to catch her breath and her vision was black. Pale fingers where touching the ground, feeling the cold surface and slowly, slowly she regained the blurred vision from before.

Her black eyes lifted up to see the spirit again, Amelia wasn’t sure was it her vision that was still blurred or was it the spirit itself, but she appeared to be messed up, not half as collected as before and it troubled Amelia a bit. The girl slowly, with notable difficulty tried to sit herself up, eventually succeeding and then she continued to watch the spirit who was trying to pick up the cards, but failed. ”she’d…she is weak…she lied…”Amelia thought as she watched the card fall down, only to reveal the Magician. Amelia didn’t speak as she listened to the girl, but the card didn’t leave her mind, why did the spirit head to the big arcana if she had instructed her to go for the swords or cups? ”knowledge, wisdom, confidence…but it’s not straight or turned…middle….so she isn’t confident in herself…indecisive maybe?” Amelia wondered as the previous card ran through her head ”she doesn’t know what she is looking for…she lost it…lost what is rightfully hers”

Just as Amelia wanted to speak, she was stopped by the voice of the spirit. Soon enough the voice became similar to crying full of pain. Amelia hadn’t seen so much pain and suffering in someone ever in her life and now she saw it in a ghost? This seemed to be beyond her understanding. None the less, she didn’t have what it takes to help her, Amelia was never good with children…not to mention dead children ”humans are filth…but not all of them…”

She raised her head from her hands. Her appearance disappeared. Only a girl's shape could've seen. She looked at Amelia.

~ Alfred... That one wealthy bastard... And yes you have right. Not all of them... not my parents... But...

Her sad whisper has echoed around the canals. She didn't care about this now. She just wanted all of this to be over. She pointed to the cards. Those tarot cards. She wanted to know what else will she read from them. She had nothing to lost did she? She again whispered to her.

~Mortal. Continue it. Contine your fortune telling. I want to know... Just. Do. It. I don't care anymore. As you could see I have no powers. Like I have told you I'm only shadow of my oldself. There is nothing I could lost, only my excistense. Amelia! Tell me! Are you afraid of death? What do you think about it? Can you read from your cards if I ever can get the peace of death ? Or will I wander around this world around the noisy... so humans? Is it my fate? ~

She called her for the first time in her name. At this point she lost her emotions. Her voice was unnaturally neutral.

OOCI know it's really short... sorry for that! D:

Amelia looked down at the card of the magician once more and then up at the spirit who has lost all features. The spirit was in pain, Amelia could only imagine the horror of how it is to be a shadow. She couldn’t dare to say that she is fearless and doesn’t fear death, but saying she does seemed like a silly idea. Was the spirit expecting Amelia to answer? She wasn’t sure. Amelia bit her lip lightly and turned away from the shadow ”I…fear death, but I don’t want to live for an eternity...I wait for it to come on the right time, when the gods think I have served them enough” she talked in riddles, still unsure of what the spirit expected and what was the best answer.

”this card” Amelia said as she tapped her finger on the card of the magician. ”This card is knowledge and confidence, wisdom…but it’s not straight or turned, it’s in between” she explained, trying to earn some time so she could finally put her own thoughts straight and forward ”It explains you, it says that you have lost the knowledge and confidence that was rightfully yours, you are confused about what to do, but soon enough, your wisdom will come to a new level that you didn’t expect to…however it doesn’t speak of anything else” Amelia had to admit, and now with the girl not being able to shuffle the cards, it also means that she can’t continue to read to her.

”I’m sorry but…if you can’t shuffle the rest of the small decks or take out one individual card, I can’t tell you anything else…” she confessed with a worried tone in her voice as she looked over the 3 untouched piles of cards.

Elaine felt empty. She had only energy to not lose her mind. Then she realized something. Her pride showed something. Her otherself it didn't wake up when she was in crisis. Even she was weak she was strong enough to take her otherself down. The Silent Lady touched one of the deck. She used her remaining soulmist a did a little push. It was only enough to deck of the cards slipped away on the ground.

~ Is it enough mortal? Let's continue it!

She did with the others, only two little push. But it was enough to make her exhausted. Her pride made her to do this. But she didn't care she wanted to complete this. She couldn't let Amelia to pity her or look down to her. It was enough for her from her life. While she was waiting to her she asked her questions again like nothing happened. Her voice was echoing again.

~ What was "your" Alfred like? Amelia... Why did you leave Zeltiva? What did make you to choose this path? Human, you are brave... Why did you tell my future? You had no reason to actually help me. Or tell me what will await me in the distant future. Why? I'm nothing but a ghost who just tell you how she hates humans. ~

She said brave to a human. Even she wasn't sure if she meant as fool that she was brave or she appreciate that. The Silent Lady didn't mind now. She said too much personal feeling anyway to another Zeltivan girl like she was.
