Dinah stiffed a chuckle and watched the doctor closely. It appeared that his real job was somewhere between charismatic and lecher. He was still attempting to flirt with her, even as he claimed to be wary of the her. However, this didn't turn her off and she found him..refreshing and she could only wonder if he would remain that way after the assignment was completed. The Knights lead a hard life, and it was a constant struggle to keep order and protect the city. It wasn't easy and changed people, sometimes for the worse.
She could only hope that Orion wouldn't end up as she had saw others do. No matter how much of a flirt he was, the woman wouldn't wish an ill fate on a good man. "Yes we do have our own medics, but this isn't a mission for the Knights It's....well it's my mission. It has to be done in secret and without a group of soldiers. "
Dinah moved a bit closer to him, allowing her voice to settle into more of a whisper. "No one is to know about this. As far as the citizens and anyone else is concerned we're just a group of people doing a bit of traveling."
Her voice was serious, her gaze intense, and yet through it all Orion continued to flirt, what a character he was. It caused Dinah to blush slightly and she turned her head away for just a tick in order to force the redness from her cheeks. "My name is Dinah, and fair enough, I suppose a drink wouldn't be out of the question."
He was persistent and boldly so, taking none of her glares or serious tones to heart. It was amusing, and he wasn't hard on the eyes which made the offer more temping. "Find, I'll be off in a few bells, I suppose I can meet you at your...usual tavern?" she finished arching her brow and letting him know just how much she had looked into his personal life before she paid him a visit. Just in case he thought to hide anything.."Until then Orion Michaels.." she said almost sweetly as she left the room.
OOCOkay feel free to play out the rest of his work day as you please then have him appear at the station later.

Orion
And with that, she was gone. "If only she'd requested the full body massage," Orion lamented, beginning to clean up around his workstation. That armor hadn't even allowed him a good view as she turned to leave. What a shame. Still, to be sought after by the knights. By her, specifically, it raised many a questions. He felt as though she wouldn't give him any answers beforehand, and if he went along, he'd probably be none the wiser. He was, after all, a just in case position. It was curious that she called it 'her mission'. One that couldn't allow other knights? One that called upon a doctor with a massive libido. One that was a secret.
Still, Orion was giddy. She'd actually agreed to meet him for a drink, despite the fact that he was only teasing her. Did the hard life a knight dull her to that? The way her eyes paused on him more than once led him to believe she wasn't all that disappointed with the suggestion, though that may have only been in his mind. Regardless, his target had been acquired. He'd just need to wait and see how hard it was to hit.
The rest of his work day went on without incident, patrons rolling in and out at a steady pace. None of them were memorable enough for Orion, as he had one thing on his mind. Surprisingly for many who know of him, it wasn't the beautiful knight he'd flirted incessantly with. It was indeed the quest for which she had looked him up. He'd leave the safety of the city, going further away than he'd gone before. Sure, Orion had wandered into the Bronze Woods a time or three, but the Wildlands? There would be at list Dinah there to make sure he didn't get killed.
After finishing his last customer, Orion quickly packed his things up and made his way from the Soothing Waters. He couldn't possibly make her wait on him, not after she'd agreed to a miracle. Orion couldn't, however, shake the mind that he'd forgotten something. Something he was supposed to do. Someone he was supposed to...
"Oh shyke. Murf."
Orion shot a quick prayer up to whoever would listen that Murf would be too stunned by Dinah's beauty to leave his home tonight. It would be such a mood killer to have him awkwardly staring at this woman while he was trying to loosen her hard knight exterior. Gods give him a break.
Upon arrival at the Rearing Stallion, Orion peeked his head in, scanning the crowd for anything that would derail the plan. No Murf, but no Dinah yet either. He would take it for now. The doctor walked over to his usual spot at the bar, motioned for a drink, and sat down, awaiting a woman with a potentially life changing job for him.

Dinah arrived at the tavern several moments after Orion did. The Knight was still dressed in full armor, and her hair was still tucked into a neat ball at the back of her head. Growing up with family in the knighthood, the woman had learned a certain love for the armor, and rarely took it off unless she was dressing down for the day, or not working. Still she wasn't as stiff as one might think, but for the time this was indeed a business meeting between herself and Orion and so she saw no reason to dress down.
Once she entered, she glanced around for a bit to see if Orion was there. Dinah wasn't a heavy drinker and it would be safe to say that she wasn't a drinker at all. But like many in the knighthood she had tried her share of ale, though like many women she enjoyed the wines better. She found Orion soon enough and walked over and re introduced herself before she attempted to take a seat.
"Hello again Orion, Well..as you requested I'm here."
The knight sat down beside him and waved to the barmaid to come over. Once the woman came over, an in a hurry it seemed, Dinah pointed to Orion as she spoke. "When he is done, give him another of what he wants." The woman hadn't intended to drink that night, and if her memory was correct, Orion had asked that she buy him a drink and nothing more.
She turned to face him then, a somewhat blank stare on her face, and her hands in her lap as she glanced around the room again, before turning back to him. "So..I hope that your day was eventful?" It felt odd to her, attempting to make small talk, especially with a guy who had out right flirted with her with no fear of the wraith from the knights.
"You must have more questions, I will answer them as best I can, and as much as I am allowed."

Orion The clanking of heavy armor entering the tavern was more a choir of the most beautiful voices Mizahar had to offer. Orion was relieved when it was Dinah who showed, rather than the alternative. She had his wannabe wingman beat in every way imaginable. Except for back hair. I hope.. But there she was, full in her armor. Strangest date he'd ever been on. Orion had plenty of experience at removing a...difficult..blouse, but a full suit of armor? What a daunting thought.
"Whoa whoa there, Sera. I believe you asked me here. I merely suggested you take a man out before you drag him into the woods for whatever you may need him for. Next time you go on a date, you might want to dress down. This place is a little more casual than plate armor. Maybe chain will do." He winked playfully, pushing the seat out for her to take. Never ungrateful for a free drink, Orion intended to take advantage of the knight's generosity. The only thing better that a mug of ale was a free mug of it.
It was cute, really, the way she would try and make talk with him, the common folk. One who appeared to be all business, all the time, or at least that's how Orion perceived her. It was almost refreshing, though the doctor couldn't place just why. "No need for that, Sera. It's clear you're here for business alone. So let's talk." He motioned to the barmaid for that drink the knight had so generously provided. "What? I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth."
As Orion drank, he initially began thinking of how to answer her question. He should have questions about what they were doing, right? Where were they going? What would they be doing? What kind of danger did they need a civilian doctor for? Yet his thoughts would trail off as his view rested on Dinah. An attractive woman, she was, but it felt to the blue eyed man like that armor was like a sealed container, trapping the real Dinah inside. That was his generalization about the knights in whole. The armor protected them, allowed them to do as they willed with no fear.
"Sera, I've lived a life full of questions and second guessing. I've only got two questions. When do we leave? And.." He paused, taking another slow drink. Two piercing eyes peeked from above the mug, nearly dancing in the excitement and anticipation. The mug returned to the table and Orion continued. "When are you going to take me out on a real date?"
Over the top, wasn't he? He flashed her a grin and awaited an oh so serious retort.

Dinah thought that the doctor was trying too hard to impress her, but again it was a good thing. It meant that she had his attention and wanted to do things to impress her. She liked that, but she had to wonder if he would feel the same way when she told him what they were doing. The man had a wicked sense of humor about him, and it seemed that he was never lacking on jokes. But Dinah could joke as well, and her sense of humor was more alive than he thought.
"No, I remember you asking me to take you out for a drink. That is exactly what you said. In fact you were flirting with me the entire time that I was there. So if I was wrong in thinking that was what you wanted then maybe you should have been more clear."
She stared hard at him, a serious glare in her eyes as she watched to see how he would react, before her features softened and she allowed herself to smile. Then he surprised her, deciding to skip the chat and question portion and get down to the details. At least she thought before he decided to add a bit more which only caused her to smile and shake her head. "I think you were right the first time, we should skip the small talk and get down to business."
Dinah was starting to enjoy teasing the man a bit, and while some of the time men in the knighthood would only get a glare from her followed by a few harsh words, she wasn't offended by him. "We leave in the morning, there will only be a few of us as this shouldn't take too long." She paused for a moment, hoping that her next words wouldn't scare the man off. "I..We, are going through the wild lands to meet with some people. Your job is to be there in case we run into any trouble and need a medic."
There was more to the story, but she didn't feel save talking about it in a tavern of all places. It was safer to keep in a secret for the moment and inform him on the way on the following day. She couldn't only hope that he wouldn't be scared off because once they started off, there was no going back. "So drink up, you have a busy day tomorrow."
Just then the door swung open, and a familiar face, hairy chest and swollen belly appeared. It was Murf. He had been frightened off by the Knight before, but he had hoped that his best bud hadn't gotten himself into trouble and was unable to come. Luckily that wasn't the case and the burly man smiled brightly as he caught sight of his friend at the bar.
"Orion! You made it!"

Orion
He smirked as she spoke of what he'd said. A slight twisting of what he'd said exactly, but amusing enough. "Tell me, Sera, do they train you Knights to have selective memories, or is that just one of the many things that make you so special? I assure you, I'm only here on business." It wasn't totally a lie. A man's business was his own after all, was it not? Orion was quickly finding his desire for this woman increasing, as a woman who could match wits with him was one who could really get him going.
Still, the dove into the meat of the matter. It was pretty straight forward, Orion figured, and it wasn't anything he hadn't expected. "So no real information. As I figured. It must be important if Doctor Orion Michaels was sought out purely for his medical expertise. I won't press you on the matter. As you said, it's time for us to drink up." He raised his glass, downed it, and motioned for another. Hopefully it wasn't going to be too early a morning.
Orion barely had time to breath before his plans for the evening were ruined. It was like a nightmare, really. No tact, no skills, nothing to offer but a blocked view and a fur coat, there he was. Murf. Orion's 'wingman'. He hoped that the man hadn't seen him. That he would look in, see Orion wasn't there, and leave. Or even grab another table. Something that would allow him to escape quickly. Fate wasn't on his side this day. He headed right at him. Sometimes having a specific place a bar was a bad thing.
"Ahh...er...hi, Murf. Didn't think you could make it."
I wish you hadn't.
"You met earlier. Dinah, proud knight of Syliras. Murf." Maybe her awe inspiring aura would get him out of this. He could hope. "I hate to do this bud, but I've got to call it an early night. I've gotta get up early tomorrow." He knew Murf was stubborn, so the knight thing would only work once. So the words he'd spoken were the hardest he was faced with saying in some time. A golden waterfall of booze was offered to him. Never ending, delicious, perfect booze. And he had to walk away from it. He had a feeling this pleased Dinah, and if he weren't sure Murf was going to be here anyways, he wouldn't put it past her setting this whole thing up. "So..take an IOU, friend? I swear we'll have some fun someday."
Just not tonight, please..

"I could tell you more." Dinah, said suddenly. "But not here..you understand?" It wasn't like the Knights to give up such information unless it was needed, no it wasn't like Dinah to do such a thing. But he wasn't a trained soldier, he had no affiliations with the Knights at all. It seemed a bit cruel to ask him to follow her on what could be a dangerous mission without explaining more. "As for the business at hand. " she gave him a sly look referring to his earlier comment. "You will be paid for your help and for your silence."
The conversation was then interrupted by Murf, the worse wing-man in Syliras, which also meant that any and all plans Orion may have had were now a no-go. The burly man made his way over and was surprised to see the Knight seated besides Orion. He nodded to the woman, followed by flashing Orion a nervous grin. He wanted to say more, wanted to congratulate Orion on his supposed successful work on courting a beautiful woman, not to mention a Knight.
However, he was shut down by the doctor as the man quickly dismissed him for the night. Murf may have been a lot of things, but he wasn't a fool. He could see that Orion wanted more alone time with the woman, which left him in a bad place for a lonely night. The man reached up and scratched at his head, disappointment clearly showing in his features.
"Actually, I must be getting back. There are things I must see to before we are to leave tomorrow."
Dinah glanced at Murf and back to Orion as she stood up. She had done what she had said and met him, and saw to his drink. Although she found him somewhat charming, she wasn't there for a social call, and she didn't want him distracted from their mission later on. The Knight stood and nodded a good night to be men and headed for the door. Orion was likely irritated if not angry, and Murf knew a block when he saw one, even if he had done so unintentionally.
"Uh..so buddy, How about that drink?"
OOCI'll leave it up to you if Orion ditches Murf and goes after Dinah, or if he stays for another drink, or if he just leaves and goes home. I have an idea for all.

Orion Pay? He hadn’t even thought of it. He was ready to go without reimbursement. Assuming of course that he’d get paid leave from work, considering he was dealing with the knights. Orion had more mizas than he knew what to do with, so to receive something extra was something else, indeed. Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, Orion wasn’t about to say no. “Just what kind of pay are we talking here? Or is that another one of your womanly secrets?” He flashed her a grin, showing no malice in his words. He hoped.
If Orion was freezing to death in the woods and by some miracle managed to start a survival fire, Murf would some out stumble out of the timber, trip, and snuff the flame out with his ill-timed clumsiness. The man simply infuriated Orion at times, and this was exactly why. If Orion and Murf went out, he may as well accept a lonely night in bed, because Murf may as well have been blight marked with as much as he was avoided.
“Not a chance, Murf. We’ll go out another time, but I’m feeling off tonight,” he lied. Orion knew exactly what he wanted, and it had nothing to do with the wooly man. Dinah had taken advantage of the large man’s appearance to make her escape, and Orion was plenty aware of what that meant. Nothing was happening tonight. It was absurd, really, for him to think he had a shot at charming a knight into his bed at least not in one day’s effort. He would have their entire journey to make it happen, so one night wouldn’t stop his pursuit of Dinah. He didn’t need any payment, he needed that woman.
How pathetic was he?
“I’ll be hard to find for a little bit, but I’m sure you’ll know when I’m back. The lines at the Soothing Waters will get longer, after all.” With that, Orion wished the burly man a good evening and made his way for the door. Pausing for a moment just outside the door, Orion glanced both ways down the corridor. Go home, or go for her?
Anyone who knew Orion could have guessed the answer without second thought.
And it certainly helped that the knight was well in sight, walking much slower than he’d expected. Orion wasted no time in moving quickly to catch up. “Dinah, Dinah. Couldn’t bring yourself to hastily make your way from me?” He fell into stride with her, an uncontainable smile on his face. “Allow me to escort you to your location. And don’t you worry; I’ll protect you from any dangers. You’re safe from everything with me, Sera.” Present company excluded.

"Come on Orion!" Murf protested rather loudly. " Whoa, Y-You gona run off after her? Can't you tell she's not interested? You're killing me bud!" Finally after Orion was out the door, Murf decided to settle in and lay his worrying into a mug of ale and to anyone close enough to listen to him.
Outside Dinah walked along heading back to her quarters, in no hurry either. She had wanted to speak with the man more, learn who he actually was under all of that wit and flirt. But she thought it wise that she left with Murf showed up. She had work to do, and the last thing she needed was to be getting drunk on the night before she had a mission. She would learn in the next days what kind of man he was, and then she could decide if he was worth getting to know.
So she thought..until he came running out.
Dinah glared at the good doctor and arched a brow. Always with the humor this one was. " I was actually enjoying a stroll, and to your other question.. my womanly secrets have nothing to do with it Sir. The Knights will pay you whatever they deem worthy of your expert help." Which was a half truth. Dinah would be paid for the job, and out of her coin she would then pay Orion. But he didn't need to know of all that.
Dinah found herself a bit surprised at his persistence. The man continued to flirt with her no matter what happened or even if the subject changed. The Knight shook her head as she held back a chuckle. "You're going to protect me are you? Then tell me..who is going to protect you?" She smiled his way, waiting to see what quick reply he had for that before continuing on.
"Have you spent much time in the Wild lands? Use a sword or shield?" She hadn't planned to ask him yet, but since he made the comment about protecting her she wanted to know exactly what he could do.

Orion A cool reply. Orion wasn't sure what he'd really expected. Apparently pay was a sensitive subject to ask about. That had been the first 'because we are knights' retort he'd been given. Had he crossed a line with that one. "Forgive me, Sera," he began, his eyes defiance betraying anything his words would say. "I exist but to serve. I meant no disrespect." He just wished to know anything. These vague answers could get quite frustrating, after all.
"That is a good question. See, I figure, if I protect you, and you protect me, we've got nothing to worry about. We're just a perfect match, wouldn't you agree?" How far from the truth could that be? A knight, symbol, projector, judge of Syliras. Orion. Doctor, sleaze, playboy of Syliras. He couldn't protect her anymore than he could protect himself. And it seemed she was right on point with going after him on that.
To say Orion was worthless in a fight would be a gross understatement. He'd had his nose broken, been cut, been slashed, been bruised, battered, and beaten. Basically the full gamut. What had he done to further his martial might? Thrown a couple of cheap shots. Gotten this idea he could use a staff. Killed a thug during the djed storms.
"I've been as far as the Bronze Woods, but that's about it. And, I'm not sure that you can call this a sword," he said, motioning to the dagger which rested in his belt, "but I've made some use of it. As for a shield, I'm afraid not. With you powerful knights around, I didn't see why I needed to learn to fight, you know." Hopefully that was enough. The line of questioning had derailed his plans. Any chance of impressing her had gone out the window with his limp wristed swings. A scalpel was the only blade he really know how to wield.
"What is this, Sera? A trial? An audition?"
