Lorelle is a girl who has been hurt by both society and family alike. She is guarded when meeting new people and rarely shows who she truly is. Within she is a girl of personality, imagination, and passion. She holds onto the child she once was and sees the world in an array of colors. This person longs for adventure and is unpredictable, but happy. This person that she is and aspires to be is a person that feels and lives how she wants to live instead of just existing in someone else's world. Not many get to see this person because Lorelle has buried her deep down beneath layers of sarcasm and false smiles. She comes off as very stand offish and hides herself behind a sort of mask that is meant to protect the vulnerable parts of who she is. She fears getting hurt or getting left behind. Easily attaching herself to things and people, she has a hard time letting go so when bad things happen her mind just sort of goes into a tailspin.

To avoid being hurt, she appears to people as being closed off and somewhat vain. She is sweet, but not too sweet, just enough to get along with people. She tries hard to protect her heart by not trusting people or letting them in. This has created a sort of barrier between her and the rest of the world, making it hard for her to get close to people. A good word used to describe her would be nice. She gets along with people, has a light hearted way about her, and easily brushes off the comments of strangers. If she doesn't get close, she won't get hurt. At least, that is her way of thinking about it.

A more in-depth look at Lorelle (previous description) :

Lorelle is a girl of many colors. She is complex and sometimes hard to figure out. Most times you can only see the version of her that she wants you to see. Her mask. But sometimes, very rarely, you will be able to find a sliver of who the real Elle is. And then, if you are someone very close to her that she lets get very near her, that sliver will slowly start to open up and a whole new person will be shone before you. One who is real and alive. One who feels and lives, instead of just existing. This Lorelle, is the true Lorelle. But not one that many have gotten to see. For this Lorelle buried itself and formed a mask to hide its true nature. Now I am not saying that this mask isn't Lorelle because it is. But it is not all of her. It is only a small part of her layered personality. At the same time however, what has to be realized is that this small part has been formed by Lorelle herself and is not necessarily part of her true nature. Whether it is or not is unknown, even to Elle herself who is so used to playing the part that she has almost lost face of who she really is.

Now you might be asking, then who is this girl behind the mask? Well that's a good question with an unknown, but still complex answer. We have two versions of this girl. The one that existed before the mask and the one that exists with the mask. The one before the mask was a young, bright and extremely naive little girl. A girl who loved her father and got mad at her mother regularly for forcing her into lessons that were unwanted. She was a girl full of life and love. A girl unable to grow up and mature into a woman. Only wanting to be forever a girl to do what she wanted. This girl's mind was hard to focus and very bubbly, not all quite there. She was still smart, but she zoned out a lot and couldn't always carry conversations real well. This version of Elle changed into the one hidden behind the mask that we have today. No one really knows what happened that caused Lorelle's change from the bright, young, naive girl, but it did happen.

This new Elle is more thoughtful and her mind is always consumed and bubbling with thoughts and ideas for new and creative things. She has more feelings, more desires. Her emotions can sometimes be hard to control and this makes her eye colors go haywire. Whenever she is connected to something and feels passionate about it, she doesn't often let go. She is not over bearing, but she can tend to get a little attached and lost in the things she is passionate about. This can be a good or bad thing, it just depends. Under another layer you will find a girl who longs for adventure. Elle has always been fascinated by the world outside of Avanthal. Sadly the only way she has been outside of her snowy corner of the universe is through books that she never seems to find enough time to read. Also in this layer that thirsts for adventure, you will find that Lorelle is a pure joy to be around. She is happy and free and if you have gotten into this layer than you have will see that she has let go of being so self conscious and worried about how she looks and acts around you. She can be unpredictable, but she is rarely harsh or mean. Only when someone is really bothering her.

Now let us talk about the Lorelle everyone sees. This Lorelle, isn't a bad version of the girl. She is still sweet and caring, just in a different way. This masked version of Lorelle cares about how she presents herself to people. She is worried about her looks and how she talks and has a hard time letting go. She is harder to get along with and is more closed off. You would have to catch her really off guard if you were to see even a sliver of who she really is. So in the end Lorelle is really just a girl hiding in her own shadow for some unknown reason. Only Elle knows why she changed the way she did, but those who used to know her saw a difference. Many asked, but none received answers. Some might even think that Elle has forgotten the reason. That this just is who she is now and there is no way around it. But those who really take the time to know her and break through her shell will know different. Only time will tell if there is someone willing to take the time to do so.

Lorelle is an attractive girl who stands at almost exactly five foot, three inches. She weights somewhere in the range of a hundred and fifteen pounds to a hundred and twenty pounds. Her exact weight is unknown. Elle's figure is pear shaped with her thin shoulders, a smallish bust and curved hips.

It's hard really to explain Lorelle's face aside from saying that is is very pretty and has a smile that can light up a room. Her face is along the lines of being more oval shaped with high cheekbones and an average sized nose. Her lips are slim with her bottom lip coming out slightly, giving her a natural pouty look when she isn't smiling. When she smiles a small dimple shows itself on her right cheek.

Elle's face is frames by long locks of black, curly hair that come down to just past her shoulder blades. Dark purple highlights can be found streaked in the bottom layer of her hair. Sometimes (when she cares to get a haircut) bangs sweep across her forehead over her right eyebrow.

Elle's skin is a dark tan shade that gets darker the more time the girl spends in the sun. Her skin is rather markingless aside from the few birth marks that can be found scattered throughout her body. Along with these birthmarks there is a scar along the side of her left leg. This scar is a result of a failed first practice with her talon sword. The only other marks on her skin is her Gnosis mark that can be found on her back and the two tattoos that have been inked upon her sides. The tattoo on the right side of her body stretches from just above her hip bone to just under her bust. It is of a somewhat swirled staff line with music notes intermixed. The tattoo on her left side is also from just above her hip bone to just under her bust and it is of purple flowers growing from curling vines. Her Gnosis mark is in the center of her back between her shoulder blades.

For clothes, Elle wears what she can get her hands on that is warm and still lets her move around easily. She is pretty easily to clothe, mostly caring about durablity and warmth rather than style. However, she does have some care for style and won't wear anything she thinks looks absolutely dreadful on her

Ethics :: Elle is not really a person who has a lot of ethics. She basically believes that people should be treated how they treat others. If someone punches someone else for no reason than they should be punched for no reason. It's a basic idea of "what comes around goes around" or "you reap what you sow".
She is also one that believes people should not be judged before you get to know them. Now this one she can't help herself from doing as her mind just sort of takes control. It's human nature to judge others and she understands this. Still ... That doesn't mean she thinks it is right.

Likes :: Elle likes many things. Way to many to list here, but I will take the time and list a few here for you. Reading (when she has the time), practicing (Flute, Singing, and Talon sword skills), learning new things, learning about new places and different races, and spending time with Eva.

Dislikes :: Again, lots of things I could list here but I will list what comes to mind. A lot of noise, pushy people, those who judge others before taking the time to judge themselves, and hot weather.

Lorelle's Gnosis mark is from the goddess Morwen. She has had this mark as long as she can remember. Her parents have always told her that she has had it since she was a baby. The mark appears as a snowflake on her back, between her shoulder blades.

Lorelle Snowsong was the first and only child born to Lana and Colton Snowsong. From the very first moment Lorelle has been on this earth, she has been loved unconditionally by both her parents. However, she has a stronger bond with her father than with her mother.

While her mother forced Elle into singing and flute lessons she didn't want, her father would take her and show her the part of the world they live in. He used to tell her stories of far away places. He would say that he had been to them all, but Lorelle learned later that he had actually been to very few and those that he had never been too, he made up his stories of them. Somehow, this fact didn't bother Lorelle. She has just always loved spending time with her father and hearing his deep, confident, but still sweet voice guide her mind to far off lands that she could only dream of.

During Lorelle's tenth year on this earth, her parents took her on a little trip. Well it wasn't very little, it was in fact a long trip. And this trip, was to the land known as Wind Reach. Lorelle had heard of the Inart people and she couldn't have been more fascinated with their land. While there she learned about their culture and way of life. She found that she likes some things about them, but not others. By the time she returned home, she was ready to stay in Avanthal for a good long while.

Time passed and not much really happened in Lorelle's life. She learned that she was thankful to her mother for all the forced lessons and she started to like to learn her lessons and actually practice her skills. She grew into a very smart, very beautiful girl and by the time she was sixteen, her parents were ready to marry her off.

Now this little thing of getting married never bothered Lorelle. Only did it start to bother her when her parents choose who the fiancé was going to be without asking for any information from Elle what so ever. This did not sit right with Elle at all for she was not going to stand by and let her parents take complete control. So the girl started looking for the man of her dreams.

Sadly, he was no where to be found and when Lorelle turned seventeen, her parents started pushing guys at her. Lorelle will not lie and say it was not unpleasant to have so many men falling over her, but she eventually got bored. After an episode of becoming drunk and doing some very stupid and foolish things with the man who showed up for her one night, Elle's father finally had enough and ended the cycle. It was then once again up to Elle to find her own husband.

And she has being doing that job up till now along with her actual job. She has yet to find someone who is worth her time, trust and love. Even though her parents are getting rather upset with the situation (her being 19 now and still not married) they have bitten their tongues and will not bring it up. It is up to Elle to find her husband and if she doesn't find one by the time she is twenty then she will be deemed an Ice Maiden in her own land and will probably go travel off somewhere to continue the search for the man of her dreams.

- Side Notes -

• Lorelle's father was originally from the Frostfawn hold. He moved over to the Snowsong hold when he married his wife. Lana was very connected to her parents so instead of moving to his hold like most Vantha woman do she convinced him to move to her hold.

• Without his wife's knowledge, on Elle's seventeenth birthday, her father have her a talon sword. He told her he got it when they went to Wind Reach and that he had been saving it for her. He also instructed her to keep it well hidden and to only use it when her mother wasn't around for the woman would very much disapprove and they would both be in trouble.

• Though she will never admit to it, there was a brief time when Lorelle was in love. It was a short episode with a boy who made her feel like she was walking on clouds. It was a sweet and innocent time that ended abruptly when the boy disappeared and was never seen again. Later Elle found that he died in an accident. This happened during the time that Elle was first looking for the "man of her dreams" and she probably would have married him had not he disappeared and later been found dead.

• I mentioned many times in Elle's personality that something probably happened that made her form her "mask" of a personality. Well as this is true that something did happen, I cannot tell you what it was. This is mainly because I do not even know exactly what this/these event(s) was/were and they/it is still in development. Most likely (if someone bothers to get close to Lorelle) the event(s) leading up to will be revealed with time.

• The history of the tattoos is quite simple really. The first one she got (the one on her right side) in her eighteenth year and the second one she got after her birthday her nineteenth year. She got the first one to defy her parents who have always been against marking up your body, especially one as pretty as their daughter's. The second she got because she was feeling girly and wanted something on her other side. No one ever really sees either of the tattoos as her clothes usually cover them up. Those who have seen them have seen them because she wants them to or because they were being perverts.

Spring 513 AV

Spring was a season of beginning for Lorelle. She met new people, got a job and started training her pup Eva. She made a new, what she hopes to be long lasting, friendship with Jesslyn Skyglow. The Skyglow has already made her show her feelings more than she has in a long time. She also calls her Lor which is something not many people do so it is worthy of being noted. Lorelle started getting into working on writing music instead of just singing other people's creations. She is not very good yet, but she has started. Lorelle also got a job at the library as a clerk. Not exactly her dream job, but a stepping stone to the pathway of her life. She enjoys the job as she gets to be around books all day.

Summer 513 AV

Two big things happened in this season for Lorelle. The first was that she ran into a nightmare from her past. The man that made her mother stop sending men her way and took away her innocence in one night two years ago. They spent most of the day together and surprisingly, Lorelle found herself very comfortable around him. They laughed quite a bit and slipped on the ice. All and all, it was an enjoyable day with the question lingering in the air if he would meet up with her later in the season. He never did and if she will see him again and what will happen remains to be seen. The other big, but not as big, thing that happened was that Lorelle spent a day out with her mother, Lana. The woman opened up herself really for the first time to Lorelle and revealed some things that have left Lorelle confused and questioning what she has been told all her life. It was the last season before her 20th birthday, the day she officially becomes an icemaiden. Most of the season she spent thinking about that and wondering how her life is going to change with her next birthday passing.

The woman opened up herself really for the first time to Lorelle and revealed some things that have left Lorelle confused and questioning what she has been told all her life. It was the last season before her 20th birthday, the day she officially becomes an icemaiden. Most of the season she spent thinking about that and wondering how her life is going to change with her next birthday passing.

About Four years old

Appearance ::
Eva is about average size for her age with a little extra weight on her. She has light orangish red fur that has began to start to lighten as she gets older. Her chest, belly and paws are all white along with a little white around her nose and some lighter red fur around her eyes. She has a coal black nose and deep, expressive dark brown almost black eyes. Her right ear tends to bend down, making it look cute and lopsided. Her tail is curled up ball of fluff that seems to be constantly moving.

Personality ::
Not old, but older than a puppy, Eva is still a fairly adventurous pup. However, she has calmed down quite a bit and has slowed down to enjoy the finer things in life about being a dog. She is a good companion for Lorelle and reflects her owner in many ways. She is more friendly than Lorelle though, which is somewhat of a good thing for her natural way of going up to people forces her owner to follow her. Eva seems to like watching Lorelle fumble around apologizing for her dog and trying not to embarrass herself. The dog always barks in approval.

History ::

Eva's history is quite simple. And to most it is probably considered boring. Especially if it was told from Eva's point of view for she is in fact a dog and can't tell the story how she knows it. So I will instead just sum up what happened here for you and tell you how Eva came to be Lorelle's.
So one cold, winter day Lorelle was rather bored and lonely. She spent the entire day alone in her parents Arvina while they both went to work. She practiced her flute, some singing skills, worked with her sword a little bit, but was soon so bored that it hurt. So on a whim, she decided to go to The Menagerie.
At first she wasn't planning to buy anything. She just wanted to go and see the animals and maybe talk to the shopkeeper a bit as she knows Reikanni usually is always up to date on the latest news. But her plans soon changed when she stepped into Reikanni's store and saw a darling little two month or so old pup run up to her.
Lorelle bent down and played with the pup a little before moving on and looking at the other animals in the store. Her gaze kept drifting back to the pup though, making her loose all her focus on not buying anything. She watched as the pup tilted her head and that little right ear bent down and the tail that would not stop wagging. It was just to much.
Elle let herself get talked to into buying the pup. It didn't take very much for the pup had already stolen her heart. The girl's parents however, weren't so easily convinced. When they came home that night they were surprised and Elle's mom was obviously not happy at all. She was about to tell Elle that Eva had to go, but luckily Elle's father came to the rescue and insisted that the pup stay.
The two -Elle and Eva- have been practically inseparable since. Eva follows Elle pretty much anywhere that isn't outside for to long and Elle spoils the pup to death. They are a great pair and so far their life as owner in pet has gone very very well.

Other :: Lorelle met Jesslyn in the Spring of the year 513. Lorelle was intrigued to say the least by the blind Vantha and spent a nice day ice skating with her on Mirror lake. They became quick friends and Jesslyn is the only one thus far that Lorelle has showed any really worry and concern for. Only time will tell if Lorelle will fully open up to the Blind Vantha or not. Oh and Jess calls Lorelle Lor instead of her more common nickname, Elle.

Other :: Lorelle and Meville have quite the history together. Lor met the Blonde human when she was seventeen and he took place of one of the many men thrown at her by her parents. They had one night of drunken passion before they were caught in the morning by Lorelle's parents. Meville was kicked out of the house and Lorelle didn't see him again. That is, until recently.
Meville is frequently referred to "the biggest mistake she made" or "The lowest point in her life." He is rarely caste in a good light within Lorelle's family, if he is even mentioned at all for no one outside the family besides Meville himself knows of that night. At least, no one knows as far as Lor's knowledge goes.
Lorelle and Meville have recently run into each other after two years and where their relationship stands is currently unknown and to be figured out.
Slowly the two were beginning to become friends, somewhat and hesitantly, and were begin to plan leaving Avanthal together. Meville, however, one day disappeared from Lorelle's life and has yet to be seen.
