Kovac woud not have considered the Enclave a place to meet anyone interesting. But his new acquaintances were interesting, or a the least...different. The girl was determined to convince Kovac of the validity of her explanation for his crimson highlights. She lectured him on the nature of the Goddess of Light and delivered an admonition that he not anger Priskil or risk losing his red streaks. As if dismissing the boy's ignorance, the girl shook her head at both of the males.
In the meantime the artist's attention had lighted upon Kovac, after the revelation of his mixed heritage. Valo looked up at the mongrel with deep dark green eyes, the curiosity they possessed almost penetrating in intensity, as if every angle of Kovac's features resonated with the staring young man. Kovac in turn, though a bit unnerved by the gravity of the attention, studied the teenager's face. He was effeminate in countenance, almost attractively so. Valo's features were thin, delicate, even his mouth, like a young woman's. Kovac did not know what to make of the strange boy, but he was relieved when Arandolya chimed in again.
Kovac could not help but smile. The girl was on the verge of adolescence, still possessing the wide eyed wonder of a child with the expanding awareness of the world around her. She was a cute ginger, and in a few years, would probably be an attractive young woman. She leaned in as the two boy's had locked stares, inserting herself into the scene. Kovac looked down at the girl's innocent gold eyes with a wide smile.
"Well thank you..I don't think I look that weird either!" Kovac replied, watching as Aran took a lock of her bright red mane and lifted it towards him, as if she were matching an outfit.
"I would never look as good as you do with red hair Aran, so I will keep my dark hair."The Avora's smile continued, before turning back towards Valo. He was curious why the artist had taken such an apparent interest in him. In his typical inelegant manner, Kovac lead the conversation onward, if only to learn what this strange boy was about. His eyes darted down to Arandolya again, his wink inviting her to stay if she wished, she seemed interested as well.
"So, you are a good artist, but what do you really do...like for a job?"
