A relaxing evening of art [Jesslyn]

Season of Winter 70, 512 AV

Soren woke up and blinked away the drowsiness settling in his eyes. He groaned as he got up and slowly made his way through his routine of cleaning himself up and getting dressed in his clothes and made sure to grab his bow and quiver. He loaded exactly 20 arrows in his quiver and put the archery glove and archer's arm gaurd in there with them just in case combat were to arise.

Soren's plan for today was to head to the sculpture yard. He heard of the amazing works of art and the amount there was at the sculpture yard. One of the main reasons he was going was for the sculpture of the Goddess Morwen. He wanted to go to see the sculpture and maybe gain some inspiration while there, or at least some spiritual connection. Morwen was a beautiful Goddess, he only imagined that she would be just as staggering immortalized in a sculpture.

He gathered his thoughts and himself and headed out the door. It was a gorgeous morning. This was the type of day that seemed alive, the type that nature seemed to reach itself out as if trying to communicate. He smiled broadly and headed out. The morning seemed to tell him there were many possibilities this day.

It was unusual for Jesslyn to be out this early. Actually it was unusual for her to be out and heading to the sculpture yard. The last time she had come here she had almost broken a couple of the ice sculptures because she had hit them and on the ground.

None the less Jesslyn continued on through the street to her destination. She had asked for directions not all too long ago and now needed them again. She made a move to the left and collided with a solid form. "Oof, sorry. Wasn't paying attention." Jesslyn regained her balance and smiled.

"Actually, I'm glad I ran into you. You think you could point me... I mean, tell me the direction of the Sculpture Yard?"

As Soren walked he felt rather than saw a figure walk into him at a pretty good pace. The force of the figure walking into him wasn't great but it was enough for him to become more alert. Without thinking about it he quickly turned around and steadied the obviously humanoid figure. He smiled and breathed out a sigh of relief when he saw it was a fellow Vantha.

He observed the figure as his fignertips met soft skin the color of, he would say, almond or olive skin however it seemed lighter than most Vantha. It was a female, that much was obvious. He also noted that she seemed much taller than most Vantha and was even a little taller than himself. Her seemed black with tints of red in it. There seemed to be something about her eyes though. Eyes were something Soren noticed almost immediately about people. This Vantha's eyes seemed to be very pretty but dimmed. As he held the woman steady he thought to himself that the woman was beautiful.

"it is absolutely alright. You know what I'm going to the yard myself if you care to walk with me Miss...?He asked wanting her name as he offered her his arm for the woman. He really hadn't expected to run into many people walking to the sculpture yard.

Jesslyn could still feel the strangers finger's on her skin when she realized she wasn't wearing her jacket and just the cloak. It was a small while before they spoke up.

"Oh, that's just awesome! Oh and I'm Jesslyn. No need for this Miss and Mr stuff." Jesslyn smiled and was only able to catch the fact that he offered her his arm when her fingers slid from her arm and caused her to drop her staff. "Umm... that happens a lot just let me.."

Jesslyn tapped the ground with her foot in trying to find the staff. Just when she was about to grab it, it was kicked away.

He gave Jesslyn a quizacal look and quickly moved to grab her staff, chasing it a few feet from them as it rolled away. It looked worn and at one end he could see it was more worn than the other. He also noted it was most likely not for battle. He walked back and offered the staff to Jesslyn and looked into her eyes once again, something was obviously off here. he couldn't put his finger on it but it seemed Jesslyn was hiding something about her by her behaviour and physical qualities. The staff seemed to be more of a tool than a weapon. A mysterious woman going to the sculpture yard, this day was going to be interesting indeed.

"Here you go, your staff Jesslyn." He smiled warmly. Maybe the big mystery about the woman was she was a little clumsy. It was nothing to be embarrassed about but hey, who ever claimed they understood the nature of females? He held the staff in front of him, open palmed in a gesture of offering the staff and also to show he wasn't going to use it on her. He was taught manners and respect at a young age by a multitude of people, sometimes it was so ingrianed he did it by second nature

"Here you go, your staff Jesslyn." Jesslyn blushed as she clasped her hands in front of her, "Umm, I can't see it." And she couldn't. He was standing on a thicker part of snow and it blocked her vision.

Trying not to be too much of a desperate child she blushed harder as she reached out blindly, she already was so would be just be reaching out? Her fingers touching his hand before settling on the staff. Lightly bringing it back to her Jesslyn gave a small shy smile, " Well, I'm Jesslyn. But you must have a name, so what is it?"

He nodded. He now had his suspicions that Jesslyn either had trouble seeing or was blind. It may have been a misunderstanding but decided not to jump to any conclusions. He smiled warmly and answered the woman, "My name is Soren Frostfawn"

He held out his arm once again to offer it to her. He took another glance at her. He smiled warmly and spoke again, "care to walk with me? I promise to look after your staff if you do."He chuckled at his own joke, his arm still extended.

"A Frostfawn huh? I had a run in with the animal once. Really bothersome... and annoying." Jesslyn smirked back at the man. If he could make jokes, so could she.

"Well Frostfawn. Lead the way. Mush!" Jesslyn gave out a small giggle as she patted her staff down in-order to see his outline. It was really blurry as he hasn't moved she but she could make out the faint lines of his arm.

Linking her arm with his she started to walk, "You know. I think you're the first Frostfawn who hasn't tried to teach me how to use a bow. I mean they are pretty and all but what use does a blind Skyglow have with a bow? To beat people with?" Jesslyn gave out a laugh.

Her arm and side he was touching was warming up and his steps helped her see. She took note that there was quiet a lot of people walking out today. 'Are people always walking out this early?'she thought to herself.

He smiled and laughed a little at the comment even giving a playful growl after the animal comment. He began to walk with her in two, her slender arm wraped around his. He nodded at the confirmation she was indeed blind.

[color=#BF0080]"Well I don't know, you're staff would make a better club than a bow. But something like archery doesn't necessarily require sight, it requires feeling. But that is all well and good for someone who is interested in learning. I wouldn't want to push the bow and arrow on to someone who does not have a passion for it."
Soren said this matter of factly.

"So, I can guess what a Skyglow is doing going to the sculpture yard. So what is it you do in the arts?He looked to her as they walked if she were a sculptur it would make more sence to go to the yard. His own purposes were more in the realms of art appreciation than actually making it.

"It's not that I don't have a passion for it. It's just... well vibrations can only travel so far for me and while my other four senses are great they aren't perked enough to be able to do such things." Jesslyn shrugged.

It was true, no matter what she did they never really seemed to improve that much. And to improve them she would have to have the patience. And that was something she lacked.

"So, I can guess what a Skyglow is doing going to the sculpture yard. So what is it you do in the arts?" Jesslyn smiled at the question.

She tapped the side of her nose and winked, "Guess." Jesslyn loved games. Especially guessing games.
