"Great, great!" Kamrynn muttered to himself. He was stuck on guard duty again, in a town where nothing ever happened. The wild lands were calling to him, where danger lurked in every shadow, and one could lose their life in the blink of an eye.
Today he had given directions to five people, and settled a dispute over a chicken.
But what was this? A couple of kids charged towards him, breathing heavily. Kamrynn smiled, maybe they wanted to play? They looked about 11 and 12, a boy and a girl, both with sandy blonde hair and grass stained clothes.
"Sir knight! Sir knight!" The girl cried. "There's a wolf in town!"
"Oh?" Kamrynn asked, his interest piqued. "You aren't... crying wolf are you?" He chuckled at his own pun.
"No sir!" The boy said sincerely. "We saw it walking down the street, that way just a second ago! It was huge and mean looking!"
A Kelvic then, probably. Kamrynn thanked the kids and jogged in the direction they had indicated. Kelvic were always trouble in Syliras, not that they were bad, they just seemed to have a difficult time adjusting to human culture and civilization.
It didn't take long to find what he was looking for. There wasn't a wolf, but a naked man, talking to several other men on the street. A crowd was starting to form, most of the women were blushing. Kelvic's were also frequently found nude in town, animals didn't have much use for clothes, afterall.
The only two women Kamrynn had ever seen naked were Kelvics, of course he had done the knightly thing and averted his eyes... after a peak or two. He chuckled in memory.
"Excuse me! Citizen!" Kamrynn called out. "I'm going to have to ask you to wear something while you're in town! For decency's sake, and you wouldn't happen to be a wolf Kelvic, would you?"
