Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]
Below is a list of events in Mura that happen during Spring. Feel free to incorporate them into your threading and roleplay or request that your PC be part of the event as it unfolds.
Summer 515 A.V.
Summer in Mura is uncharacteristically hot, though the heat is interrupted by sporadic and cooling rain showers, one lasting for an entire week. Due to the heat many Konti and any visitors of the island create a sort of unspoken habit about resting for two hours in the mid afternoon, the island's activity lulling to a halt during these bells. Activities tend to go later into the night because of this, and many festivities are held in the White Isle Harbor and just outside of it as the season progresses.
1st - A Konti child is attacked by a shark within the Kelp Forest
5th - The Iyvess hunt and kill any remaining sharks they can find within the Kelp Forest
10th - The Sun Festival is Held at midday around Unity Circle
17th - The children of Pricha's Manor put on a talent show in the evening, Konti cooks make and give away free meals to all who attend as well as feeding the children of the manor well that evening
22nd - The Opal Temple puts out a warning for the residents of Mura to stay hydrated and not over exert themselves in the heightened heat of the season
31st - On the far side of the Isle a Bale of Leatherback Turtles comes to lay their eggs
42nd - The Day of Bright Colors is held
58th - 2 Iyvess go missing the Crystal Caverns
61st - The Iyvess are found, but will not speak of what they saw in the caverns
65th - Lover's Day is Held
77th - The Leatherback eggs hatch and many inhabitants watch with lights as the baby turtles make their way into the Ocean
80th - From this date till the 87th heavy rain showers that cool the island sweep in from the coast
85th - A celebration to Makutsi is held along the shores of the Silver Lake, thanking her for her gift of rain
Spring is a festive and joyful season upon Mura. Aquatic and Terrestrial plants alike are constantly blooming around the island and most inhabitants and visitors are constantly roaming the island to catch this flower, that fruit, or that tree in bloom. Whale watching takes place several times throughout the season in the vibrant wooden boats of the Konti, taking them out to Sea to glimpse several pods of migrating, mating, or recently birthed whale calves out just beyond visibility of the island. Several Iyvess, rather smitten with the Konti of Mura hold fishing lessons, bringing the Konti out deep sea diving and sharing stories, songs, and tales at venues such as The Starry Night
2nd - A day trip free to go on is taken out of The White Isle Harbor past the coast of the island to see a pod of Blue Whales and a few new calves that are playing near the island
10th - A small expedition of Konti and Saltwater Iyvess leave on a deep sea excursion, the Iyvess endeavoring to show the Konti how they hunt bigger aquatic game
14th - A Thunderstorm producing small but sharp intense rain keeps everyone indoors or beneath the waves for most of the day
20th - Ocean Rush ahs 50% off all seahorse rides for a day!
33rd - Another boat trip out of the Harbor Occurs in the evening a fun night of swimming with dolphins, with the opportunity to buy beverages from Two Sister's Winery to liven the night even more
54th - The Expedition returns to the isle, all Konti and Iyvess Intact, bringing with them one large squid and stories that make many women of the isle convince the Iyvess to take them on another journey
61st - A small group of Iyvess, Charodae and Konti trade stories on the edge of the Silver Lake
77th - Kavali Nutra's Birthday
84th - Sharks of unknown breed are sighted not far from the Harbor, warnings issued to inhabitants and visitors alike

Archive: Winter 514 AV :
Overview: Winter 514 AV
Winter is marked by mild weather that slowly dips into the cold as the season progresses, gradually leading to the Storytelling Festival in celebration of Morwen's presence on the 30th. Despite the cold, plants still grow and are cultivated, yet the majority of the season is spent enjoying good company, and treasuring the relaxing time that Winter bestows upon the island.
1st - The start of Winter
6th - Before the weather becomes too cold, there is a day of playing in the Kelp Forest where most if not all of the youngest Konti children come to romp, swim, and play within the thick protective fronds of Kelp
15th - Over the week several small storms bring colder weather and hard pelting rain to the isle
30th - The Storytelling Festival is held upon several beaches around the isle, all marked with giant bonfires where all are welcome to sit and share or simply listen to stories and tales. Several varieties of roasted warm shellfish are available on skewers to enjoy with the stories.
43rd - A bale of Typor arrive at the White Isle Harbor and remain for most of the season, ranging outward to forage but always returning, they are patient and friendly with all those who swim with them
64th - A feast is held in the White Hall in honor of several Iyvess who came to the island late in the Fall season, though the affair is kept rather private, it is not hard to gain invitation (PM Traverse if you are interested in attending)
72nd - A refreshing woodland walk is led by several teachers at the Opal Temple in the Silverwood, students and visitors alike invited to attend
79th - A large litter of Ivaski pups are born in the Opal Temple and are fawned over all day
92nd -Anniversary of the Valterrian and Avalis' rise to Divinity: This year at midnight a flurry of beautiful silver, pink, and sky blue fireworks light up the starry night sky in celebration and reverence of Avalis and the event that changed Mizahar and the Konti forever.

Overview: Summer 514 AV
Summer is pleasantly warm, constantly breezy, and filled to bursting with plant and animal life aquatic and terrestrial. All on Mura feel the growth and light in the longest days of the year, and the island as a whole seems to come together for several wondrous events apart from the usual holdiays. The Suvai Pavilion puts on a spectacular showing of their brightest pupils, while shops all over the island put on demonstrations and samplings of their products to residents and tourists alike. Towards the end of Summer a strange call for aid comes from Black Rock, however, setting some sisters on edge though they are unsure why...
1st - A Konti child sees a beautiful Summer in store for Mura
4th - A Summer Storm damages a dozen boats in the White Harbor and injures several Konti, also beaching a blue whale
10th - The Sun Festival is Held
17th - The Opal Temple holds a ceremony to celebrate the Vian Trees around Mura, several hundred Konti amassing in the Silver Forest for a day of reverence.
23rd - House of Glass put on a demonstration with a few visiting Inarta Glassblowers
35th - Two Sister's Winery holds a wine tasting at Laviku's Light at dusk, all are welcome to attend
42nd - The Day of Bright Colors is celebrated
50th - On a particularly gorgeous day Seahorse Rides at Ocean Rush are proclaimed 50% off!
61st - The Suvai Pavilion puts a show of its best and brightest talent on the edge of Silver Lake
77th - Kuvali Natra's Birthday
81st - A Request for Healers is Sent from Black Rock

Overview: Spring 514 AV
Spring is swept in by light tropical storms that bring in warmth and migrating aquatic animals to Mura's beautiful coast. It is a season for new life both plant and animal, and the inhabitants of Mura seem to flourish just as the new flora. Along with the Flower Festival and Lovers' Day the Konti hold a great seahorse race for all to enjoy in the middle of the season, and several Sloops hailing from Ekytol come bearing Eypharian traders that take an extended leave on the island to interesting effect.
1st Day of Spring
4th - Waterfall fabrics has a winter clothing blowout sale selling all cloaks and jackets at 40% off!
15th - Several Sloops carrying Eypharian merchants and their cargo arrive in the White Harbor
20th - Though warm a particularly nasty squall keeps most all inhabitants of Mura inside for the day
35th - Giant green turtles are spotted in the White Harbor
40th - The Flower Festival is held
47th - Connecting the Sloops via walkways the Eypharians hold a party to their Konti hosts, many libations and Ekytolian food are abound.
55th - The great seahorses races start
60th - The seahorse races end, a winner declared
63rd - The Ekytolian merchants depart
70th - Lovers' Day
77th - A Konti child goes missing in the Crystal Caverns
82nd - A beached blue whale is found upon the coast
92nd - End of Spring
Archive-Fall 513 :
Overview: Fall 513
Fall is a slow transition for Mura. Temperatures stay relatively mild, but Fall hurricanes can sweep in cold fronts that allow the isle to be downright chilly, though this is generally only for a day at a time.
The variation in temperature and rainfall bring new sea creatures to the waters around Mura, including a series of Whale Sharks that are perfectly content with the island's inhabitants swimming right up to them.
1st - Fall is ushered in with a brief but violent Fall storm that damages several ships docked in the White Harbor
8th - Several seal corpses are found on the beach, the storms are suspected of the deaths.
21st - A pod of blue whales comes to birth their calves in the warm waters of the isle, and special consideration is given to their presence.
30th - A strange ship docks itself in the Pearl Harbor and rumors begin flying about the contents on board.
35th - A porpoise body is found washed ashore without a storm as explanation, several Konti go out on Seahorses to scout the area.
42nd - A Shopkeeper hears noises coming from the Mysterious Vessel's hold.
70th - Several shops are robbed in the dead of night, eyes turn to any new ships in the harbor and crews begin to be questioned by dockworkers.
77th - Heart of Steel has a three day sale, buy an item get one item of equal or lesser value half off!
80th - A two day long storm rains hail upon Mura.
85th - In light of the upcoming Pumpkin Festival, restaurants on the isle give away free samples of food and drink.
90th – The final days of fall are celebrated with the Pumpkin Festival, a serious time of thanks to Caiyha and Bala for the gifts of prosperity they bestow upon Mura and all of Mizahar.
Archive - Spring 513 :
Overview: Spring 513 AV
Spring comes with a series of heavy rainstorms off the Northern coast which, as well as ushering a blossoming of all plant-life upon the island, they also bring a pod of Svefra that have come all the way from Ahnatep. Smaller than other known pods, and bringing trade goods and stories, the Chillwater Pod comes asking the aid of the inhabitants of Mura; most specifically, the Konti. They have discovered a sunken ship approximately twenty miles off the coast and seek aid in retrieving whatever treasures it may contain. Generous in their offers to donate any precious contents to the Opal Order, the pod claims to simply be in search of the history of the Chillwater pod, nothing more, nothing less.
This Spring, several new plant species, aquatic and terrestrial are discovered upon the island, and are theorized to be dormant creations of the Spring Djed storm of 512.
1st - Spring rains begin, causing heavy torrential downpour.
5th - The Svefra Pod arrives in the harbor.
8th - A dolphin pod takes up residency in the harbor, joining the porpoises that the Svefra brought.
13th -The Svefra Set up a Trade Stall in Unity Circle
20nd - The Svefra Expedition heads off with Volunteers to search and explore the ship Wreckage off the coast.
22nd – The heavy rains continue on and off.
30th – Several areas of Mura become more submerged than normal.
33rd - A Kelvic Orca is born and gains a large adoptive family when she takes her first swim in the harbor.
40th - The Flower Festival is Held
45th - A nearly crippled human merchant vessel pulls into Mura, having taken the brunt of a large storm off the coast. The Opal Order is swamped with cases of dehydration, malnutrition, and various injuries from the vessels tumultuous journey.
50th – A development project begins of a shrine dedicated to both Laviku and Makutsi
57th - The Springs' vicious deluges seem to desist.
65th - Celebration of Lover’s Day
70th - A string of sick herbalists are brought into the Opal Order and found to have a plant based poison in their system.
74th - Numerous blue whale sightings are made toward the western shoreline of Mura.
78th - The blue whales are discovered to be birthing and several Konti venture out to commune with the mothers and calves.
90th – The Chillwater pod departs from Mura.

Overview: Summer 513
Summer brings temperatures that one would expect upon a flourishing Mediterranean island like Mura. In warmer tides several great aquatic species come to give birth, several specimens of turtles claiming the South side of the island as their nesting ground.
An influx of traders from far away lands come bearing exotic goods, carvings from Avanthal, spices from Ekytol, and jewels from Riverfall. The ports are bustling with merchants traveling in and out, adding even more color to the already bustling metropolis of pale skinned women.
2nd - The first sea turtles are spotted on the southern beaches
10th - The Sun Festival, Held in thanks of Syna and Sivah for the warmth of the Summer Season.
15th - The first heavily laden merchant vessel comes to Mura, bringing exotic goods to trade for jewelry, vision water and the like.
21st - A pod of blue whales comes to birth their calves in the warm waters of the isle, and special consideration is given to their presence.
30th - A hectic hiring of multiple dock officials is found necessary for the amount of trade craft coming to dock in the Pearl Harbor
35th - Rumors are heard of strange sightings and sounds coming from around the Silver Watchtower.
42nd - Upon the longest day of summer an art festival toting the brilliant bright colors of Summer is held around the city, followed by a procession around Silver Lake.
70th - The turtle hatchlings emerge from their eggs, making their way to the sea, several of them remain around Mura's waters, and are continually sighted.
77th - Kuvali Natra's Birthday, an informal holiday recognizing the first Konti to answer ' the Call' and all the sisters who are upon it on this day.
80th - A violent thunder storm off the coast rolls in with little warning, battering homes and ships alike and lasting for three days.
85th - After the higher waters recede from the Crystal cavern, a new pathway is discovered.
90th - To celebrate the plentiful amount of fish summer has brought, The Bountiful Sea holds a sale, all merchants selling their wares at 25% off.
Brigantine Exploration :
Upon the 5th of Spring, just following one of what is to be many Spring storms, a pod of Svefra dock their ships in The White Isle Harbor. It is soon discovered that their pod name is Chillwater, and their porpoise companions make a lively addition to the other aquatic inhabitants of the island. While light and easy going, like any Svefra, the Chillwater pod has come to Mura with serious intent.
Only a few days prior, a few of their tavan discovered the remnants of a large sunken vessel barely 20 miles out from Mura. Without the proper equipment or man power, the small pod of about 40 individuals has come seeking Konti aid in diving and recovering the contents of the sunken brigantine.
Numbers decimated by the Djed storm one year prior, the Chillwater pod has been searching for lost history from their ancestors since, their Lia using this motivation to raise spirits as well as attempt to regain some of the pod's former glory. As repayment for any help the Konti of Mura can give them, the Chillwater pod has generously offered any treasure found aboard the ship to be donated to the Opal Order. They seek history and artifacts from their past, nothing more, though a few of the wise seers sense a different agenda of the pod that runs deeper than any historical value they might find upon the ship.
Ready to find some sunken treasure?
On the 20th of Spring the Svefra will have collected the needed support to launch an exploration and diving mission to the Brigantine. You do not have to be Konti to participate in this quest, its just easier to breathe underwater that way!
This quest has two different angles. If you want to explore the deep dark depths of the ocean, chill in a sunken ship, find some cool critters, and potentially treasure, you can take part in the main diving party!
If you'd rather investigate the Svefra, learn about their past and perhaps try to understand the deeper reason behind their fascination with this sunken ship, you can act as liaisons between the Svefra and Opal Order!
Because of the small player base on Mura, the way this quest will develop and lead is really up to what you folks are interested in, so let me know what strikes your fancy, and send me a PM if you'd like to participate. I will accept quest applicants up until the 15th, and then we can begin!
