The cold air strack Agathon's face one more time before he decided to start walking in the market once again. As it was getting late, less people were walking around at that part of the city. The taverns, though, were full of people. Not like they were empty at any time of the day anyway... The cold distracted him from his thoughts for a while. He rubbed his hands together in an attempt to warm them up, but it didn't work.''I have to buy some proper clothing...'' he thought to himself and continued walking at the same direction.
And while he was walking, he saw something rather unusual. A grim figure, a person that seemed more dead than alive...Was he sick maybe? He had never seen anything like that before in his life. He decided to follow the lifeless looking man, as he had completely grabbed his attention. He started walking behind him silently, making sure that he would not be heard. The man walked down to the docks, where Agathon was previously sitting. He really wanted to approach that person, but wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. You can never be too sure who you're dealing with in Sunberth, and even though he looked sick and lifeless you could never know what to expect.
After thinking about it for a couple of minutes, he walked down to the docks and stoof a couple of meters away from him. ''Don't you love this place? The view never..ceases to amaze me.'' and that was his attempt to start a conversation with a person that he had never met before. His skills with people were truly a disgrace. He wouldn't even be surprised if they other person would just turn around and leave without saying a single word.
He looked at the vast sea. How scary it was, especially at night. The dark sky reflected on it, making it look like there was nothing. Yes, nothing. It made him think about his future and what he would end up like. Most likely somebody would eventually notice him and send him to meet his maker. Nobody would remember him...Nobody would know that he had died. He would just be...nothing.
''And it always makes me think about...unpleasant stuff.''
Much more happiness is to be found in the world than gloomy eyes discover.
