Short History
Having a Dek mother that could not provide for them, Haya and her younger twin brother, Sohren, were raised in Wind Reach’s nursery. At age eight, they started living in the youth section, following classes and receiving basic training like every Inarta youngster is supposed to. Haya was unlucky. Due to her reckless nature she heavily injured her ankle, and because of her injury she could not keep up with her classes. As a result she was assigned as a drudge at age eleven.
Her twin Sohren however, did much better.
Haya loved her twin brother, idolised him, perhaps more than she should. Ever since her accident he always tried to provide for her, and as soon as he rose in rank and had the power to do so, he offered protection as much as was possible by taking Haya in to take care of his private quarters. It was him who acquired a book about Morphing at some point, and made his sister practise it on her own. Haya was rather good at it, and when she had the basics down and the book could provide no further knowledge, she continued practising on her own, learning by trial-and-error.
Sohren died at age nineteen. He was killed by the eagle he’d bonded with, which might be a sign that he wasn’t as pure as Haya believed him to be. Life went on, a lot harsher without her brother present, or his protection. Haya was not prepared for the grim realities of drudge life, and her attitude often got her in trouble. [510AV]
Overworked and too bonetired to even think of practising her magic, Haya soon realised that if she were to remain in Wind Reach, she would perish before ever having had another chance to make something of herself. Her opportunity came when -after saving his life- an archer recognised her potential. He repaid her by smuggling her out of Mount Skyinarta and onto a trading ship in Thunder Bay, paying for her to journey towards Avanthal, where -no longer held back by her drudge status- she desired to work and learn a skill that would have her eventually be welcomed back by her people as a respected member of their community. The ship, however, fell into the hands of pirates, and Haya ended up in Riverfall instead; recognised for her species' value and sold for a lot of coin to an Akalak who desired she bare him children. Haya did, gracing him with twins and earning herself freedom in the process. She decided to remain in the man's household, making herself useful rearing their two sons. However, with the young boys currently nearing the age of training Haya knows that her time in the Akalak's household is coming to a close. She now practises her Morphing fervently, believing this magic is her only means left to restore her honour in the eyes of her people; to find a way of returning to her beloved Mount Skyinarta with her head held high. [517AV]

Personality
- Haya has inherited her people's firey spirit and straightforward attitude, which often clashes with Riverfall's more soberly inclined inhabitants. Though she doesn't have the means to own them, she likes shiny things; glass beads and silver trinkets- the kind of gems that fracture the light into a play of colours. Due to being brought up in Mnt. Skyinarta's nursery Haya has developed a very independed spirit, one which has survived her Dek years in most part due to her brother's protection. She doesn't grow attatched to people soon, taking life and it's circumstances as they come, but will easily display a colourful range of emotions toward those she meets. -
