With the new year, The Spires changes accordingly. Instead of rain every day, citizens now have the sight of fog on the upper and ground levels of the city. The mornings are chilly at an estimated forty five degrees Fahrenheit and the days rarely warm past fifty degrees Fahrenheit. During this season, the Jamoura take part in The Rebirthing to plant for the season as the Shaiki River and streams flood.
With the increased warmth, creatures who hibernated over the Winter season or traveled further south now wander back to the city. On the tenth day of Spring, an uproar takes place. Termites have infested multiple stores on the Petal of Adamant Devotion! The petal is quarantined, but the Hahk'Shatara discover several more petals are infected within mere days of the first sighting. Shops are shut down and homes are under careful watch as citizens of The Spires scramble to discover what will repel these creatures.
Stemming from the termite infestation, groups travel far and wide on the dangerous ground floor to search for vegetation that will ward off the termites. During their travels, they stumble upon a poorly constructed slaver and poacher network that formed during the chaos surrounding the Djed Storm only a year earlier. The city is dismayed to discover they are being attacked on more than one front and race to handle both the termites and the network.
The Hahk'Shatara are spread thin through the termites and the slaver network and make crucial decisions regarding the citizens of The Spires after several Kelvics are kidnapped from the city. Citizens who are willing to go into the foggy weather conditions to search for poachers and slavers are offered rewards. Compensation and other rewards are also being offered for people who can provide information on the individuals.
