Time stamp: 13th of Spring, 513AV (Evening) Location: Alheas Park Who: Samantha Grenth Walking down the path to Alheas Park, Vaas could tell Wind Dancer was excited because he was chirping and flapping his wings in excitement. Vaas smiled over at his hawk and said with a smile, “I think it almost time to teach you how to hunt, Windy.” Vaas knew his hawk could hunt, but as a hawker Vaas needed him to hunt certain animals on command. It will be feat trying to teach the stubborn bird, but he knew it was must be done to get to the level in Wind Dancer's development as a hunting bird. When made it out of the forest, he came into a grassy clearing. He heard an owl hoot, and he could tell it was night time. He heard stories about the beauty of the park during the night time, and Vaas wanted Wind Dancer to experience the park for himself since Vaas would never experience the beauty of the city of Lhavit. Making his way to the center of the clearing, Vaas set his backpack on the ground, and he untied the jess from the hawk's leg, and he took off the hood from the birds head. Wind Dancer flapped his wings, and he jumped off into the pruned grass. Vaas knelt down in the grass, untied the backpack, and fished out his wooden flute case. Once he took out his wooden flute out of the case, and he cleaned the inside of it with his rag. He could hear the bird flapping his wings in excitement, and Vaas fished out a dried piece of meat with the fur still on it. Vaas put the flute up to his mouth and play Wind Dancer's attention song, and the hawk stopped flapping his wings, turned to face the Inarta, and let out a quiet "Kree-eee-ar.” Vaas smiled to himself, and he played Wind Dancer's feeding song. The hawk let out a quiet, “Kree-eee-ar”, and Vaas tossed the piece of dried meat gently in the birds direction. In excitement, hawk let the meat drop to the ground and he quickly snatched it up with his mouth and ate it. When the Windy was finished he flapped his wings at Vaas, and he let out a chirp. Ever since he left Wind Reach, Vaas taught Wind Dancer a few new songs like “Play Time.”] Once the Windy hears the melody, the hawk can do whatever hawks do in their free time. The second song is Wind Dancer's “Return Song” where the bird need to return back to him. This song would be useful when he is hunting with the bird. Vaas looked in the bird direction, and he smiled at his feather friend and said softly, “I am envious of you, Wind Dancer that you get to experience the park at night. Enjoy yourself, Windy.” Vaas brought the flute up to his lips and played a Wind Dancer's “Play Time Song”, and he heard the flap his wing, and he took off into the air. Vaas decided to just lay back on the grass, and he listened to the sounds of the night. |
