When Good Things Go Bad
Spring 6th, 513 AV; 11th Bell
Ricky knew it was morning but not as late in the morning as it was, nor did he really appreciate the fact the sun was up. He and Hannah had slept together last night and remained close, he didn't want to have to let her go; but the usual call of usual business would come in about several bells. In which he would have to get up and get ready, and hope to see Hannah again during or after his post.
knock knock knock
The sound of the knocks were gentle, but enough to cause Hannah to stir. 'Guess I'm gonna have to get up anyway.' He sighed through his nostrils, as he leaned up to get out of bed; Hannah stretched and sat up.
When Ricky opened the door Telion was waiting for him, a small grin that soon faded when she saw him shirtless. "Oh my Laviku Ricky, get a shirt on! And how long has it been since you had a bath?" She averted her eyes, and Ricky couldn't stop from chuckling.
"Come on in." He invited and left the door open, and picked his short sleeve shirt up off the floor. When he finally pulled it over and down his torso he noticed both women stared at one another, and right then did he find the awkward moment between friends. "Oh Telion, this is Hannah." He introduced with hopes that the moment wouldn't rise to the awkwardness it would live up to, and both women smiled at one another.
"Hi... It's uh, very nice to meet you." Telion nodded as she put forth the effort to not laugh.
"Likewise," Hannah looked to Ricky awkwardly, "I should probably go."
"Oh, no no! I should, I'm the one who intruded." Telion gave Ricky a look he knew well, one that was self explanatory. 'I don't wanna ask cause I already know,' or so that's what Ricky registered. "It was nice meetin you though."
"Now hold on Tel, why not stick around? Get to know one another?" He suggested with a faint hopeful smile, both of them looked at him strangely.
"That's okay, maybe later when you two aren't busy." Telion ran her fingers through her hair in the moment things became awkward; and that's when Ricky noticed.
"Hey, ya got a hair cut!" He pointed out with enthusiasm, but Hannah spoke in turn next.
"What's that?" She stood up and walked over to Telion, who now looked nervously at the ginger. Ricky wasn't sure what she saw, but he would soon figure it out.
"It's nothing! I have to go now." She was serious and defensive, and before Hannah could get a hold of her arm Telion immediately walked out of the door.
"What the petch was that about?!" He raised his voice a bit, annoyed that Hannah chased her off.
"Don't look at me! Ask the man that gave her the bruise!" Hannah snapped with an attitude, but said nothing more as Ricky looked astonished.
"Ye saw a bruise on 'er? Where?!" There was a crease in his brow as his voice grew low, his face slightly changed to the hue of red.
"Right here," She pointed under her left ear, "and there was another on her arm. I'm surprised you didn't notice it."
That was more than enough, apparently Telion had a secret she thought she could keep from Ricky, but thanks to Hannah he just now found that out. Now he was going to help her, and confront the damned fool that inflicted harm upon her. "Petch this horse shyke, we're goin to pay her a visit!" He was already close to furious now, ready to spur into action. He and Hannah wasted no time in getting the rest of their things together. The both of them headed out of the house and further within the old quarter.
