Orion Fallon knew what was happening, and its seemed that Kreig fellow did as well. But the third man who currently occupied the suite, well, he threw Orion off entirely. The tension in their air was beyond thick, and somehow, this man, well, he was thicker. Though emotion hung on everyone's actions and words, he sliced through it all like a sharp, yet somehow impossibly dull, blade. Here Perc was requesting everyone's life story, as far as Orion was concerned. He turned to face the young man, an incredulous look spreading across his face. Was this man a fool, or was he brilliantly disarming the conflict? Regardless, Orion wanted nothing to do with it.
Not with her standing there like that, working so hard to ignore him. He wanted to believe she just didn't want to deal with him right now. He wanted to believe that she'd simply wished to pick a better time to speak, as both of them had to know there'd be sparks of a less than pleasant variety. On the other hand, he feared that she wanted nothing to do with him. He feared that she didn't want to deal with the lashing that was likely to come from Orion's words. He feared a friend was lost.
"I...my reasons are my own."
So cool and mysterious, Orion. He rolled his eyes mentally at himself. Ridiculous.
"There just needed to be a change." Better. These strangers didn't need to know the inner workings of Orion. Perhaps he could have made up something better, told them it was of a sense of duty. Saying anything further about it seemed superfluous, though, so he simply bit his words. "I think I could use an ale.." Being a little clouded could certainly do something to help with the insanity unfolding around him, though it would be likely to loosen his tongue as well.

Perc just looked between orion and fallon as they both didn't really answer his question. was it really such a dark secret for them why they joined the knights? "Well, I hope you find yourself at home here then Kreig, Same for the rest of you guy's." there where a few moments of awkward silence where even Perc didn't know anything to talk about. But when orion mentioned that he could use an ale perc got a bright idea. Well he thought it was a good idea.
"Why don't we all go to the rearing stallion then? lots of ale there and its probably a good place to get to know each other a bit better. Not to mention I heard they got some really good ale there." Perc offered. slightly mistaking Orion's intentions. "What do you guy's think about it? I still got a bit of miza's saved up so i'm paying the first few rounds." He knew that some alcohol might losen up some tongues for sure, people always drunk more when they didn't have to worry about money for the most part. He eagerly awaited their reaction. |

For a moment Fallon paused, her mind clouded with the events that were occurring. She could hardly think clearly, more so with the vague answers from an old friend. Had something happened? Had he gotten into trouble? She swallowed her worries for a moment, her mind buzzing to still find an escape. There was the talk of drink, of alcohol, of getting to know each other better. But for the moment the only thing that was on Fallon’s mind was to get away. She turned her head away, and then downwards to the pup. She had to at least answer, or try to. Orvin looked upon her with big eyes, a strange pleading look for attention resting there.
Why not turn it down? That would be the easy option, right?
The only issue there was being able to summon the words out to say that. Perc may have been oblivious to the situation, but at least his intentions were good. She could not fault him there. Yet allowing herself to be dragged out, to face the world, to be with him was an idea she found difficult.
“I uh… well umm…” she gave a shrug “I’ll go with what everyone else is doing.”
One word. Idiot.
“I mean, it’s not like I don’t want to, it’s more I’m a bit tired?”
Smooth…
“Really, tired, I’ve had a long day trying to uh… settle in? And anyway, there’s Orvin…”
You are hopeless, you know that right?

"What Fallon is trying to say Percival, and what I also to say wish dear boy, is that we are simply tired. After all, we have only recently moved our belongings in and organized them" Kreig spoke for Fallon "Speaking for myself thou, I may visit the Stallion at a later time if not now, sounds quite festive and sitting in taverns used to be a favorite pastime" Kreig spoked a slight grin as he leant against the wall " Do forgive us for not wishing to partake at this time"
Personally, he did yearn to leave this room, but for different reasons perhaps already spoked previous. But Kreig knew there was no gurantee he could get used to another part of the city if he can't get used to a room where he is expected to sleep in on his own bed. At least getting used to that would perhaps help him sleep easier at night. Tilted his head left and right, emitting a cracking sound that seemed to cut through the tension like a butter knife cutting through rope, earning a bit of an internal sigh from himself "If I may pry Perc? how far away from your home are you. Perhaps we could share some stories of our travels to the city? I could tell you that our journey was quite long" It was possible there were no stories for Perc to tell, but Kreig and Fallon certainly had some....and while they didn't take up the offer of going to the Stallion, they need to ease the tension somehow "Or perhaps you mister Orion, again I don't mean to pry, but perhaps you have some interesting tales of this city? that is if you are from Syliras or stayed here longer than us" Kreig asked the Mysterious Orion, who wasn't quite mysterious but more like he brooding or sulking, which made Kreig tempted to slap the man. |

"No, I don't think I feel like going out tonight. Maybe I'll leave the stories for another time." He glanced over at Fallon, not the least bit surprised that her own gaze avoided him. Neither of them could have expected to run into each other like this. It was impossible for them to have predicted, but it didn't soften the blow at all. It didn't sooth his anger. No, he couldn't think about it anymore, or he was going to explode. He needed to separate himself from the situation. Isolate and move on.
"Don't worry about finding an excuse, Fallon. I'm not feeling well," he stated, rising to his feet. "I'm going to get some extra rest tonight. Long day tomorrow. Have a good evening." He nodded to Perc and Kreig, and began to walk towards his sleeping room. Pausing at the doorway, he again looked to Fallon, a puzzled expression dug into his features. What is going on? He'd have to figure it out later. No answers would come tonight. Tensions were too high.
The former doctor disappeared into the darkness of the room, shutting the door behind him. Would sleep do anything to clear his mind? He doubted it. After all, he wasn't likely to sleep anyways. Sighing, Orion climbed into his bed and pulled the sheets over his head. "Why do people always jump in and out of my life like this...?" He muttered to himself, closing his eyes, trying to welcome dreams that wouldn't arrive that night.
oocOrion's out for this thread. Looking forward to future ones!

Perc's wide smile faded a bit as none of his fellow squires really expressed an intrest in getting a few drinks with him. At kreighs comment Perc gave him an irritated glance. “Its perc, not percival.” he corrected. “Still, you don't have to if you all are tired. I'm not going to drag you all outside if you guy's don't want to.” He knew all to well how irritating it was when others pulled you into stuff you didn't want to do. So their refusal did make some kind of sense now. What didn't make a lot of sense to perc though was the way orion was acting before he had left the room. He just shrugged it of, maybe the guy was just plain cranky today.
“I'm not to far from home, I grew up in the mithryn outpost just ten miles south of syliras. Its the place where all the farmers live. I don't really have a lot of stories about my travel towards here. I mean its just ten miles, not really far. But if you really want I do have some funny tales about what happenend on the outpost. Like the time a fox got his head stuck in a part of a knights plate armor. Watching as the knight tried to catch the poor animal was just plain hilarious.” Perc sniggered at the memory.
“Still, I think whatever you two have seen is a lot more intresting then just a bunch of funny stories at the farm. You guy's actually travelled further then just a single city. Saw a lot of the rest of the world.” That wide grin was back in full force as perc looked back and forth between Kreig and Fallon. Eager to hear any stories about what lay beyond the safety of the knights grip. The world where hopefully he one day would venture out into to earn his knighthood. |

She was grateful when Kreig stepped in at that vital moment, explaining the supposed mood Fallon was in. Which she was to a degree, but Orion had also thrown her into a state of hesitation. Her mind had become little more than a jumble of thought in which she was only capable of nodding to the words of Kreig. She listened to the words of the men, and flinched for a moment at the directed comment at her. Fallon’s eyes averted to the ground, locking at her feet as she tried to come to terms with the words. Even when he left she felt the nagging words reach at her, but for the most part she tried to not show it.
“Yes… Yes… I’ve seen a lot of the world,” she pulled her eyes up from the floor and looked upon Perc, an attempted smile upon her face “Quiet a lot. Perhaps some would say too much, but then…” She gave a small shrug at that point before straightening herself up, as Orvin began to pad away to her sleeping quarters with a large yawn, “I could talk about all sorts of places, but that would take a good amount of time.”
There was without a doubt that Fallon was most likely the one who had travelled the furthest in this time, who had walked the ways between cities and stared upon the different cultures that existed. Always though from the view of an outsider. Either way, her times of travelling were now behind her, or at least they were for a little while. How long that would last however, was beyond her “Either way, Syliras is home now. And I’m sure we’ll make plenty of memories and stories to share in years to come.”
