Quest Sign-Up Morning, 10th of Spring, 513 AV It was one of the nicer mornings she had seen over the last few days or so, Syna not yet reaching her peak, clouds drifting lazily through the sky. 'A good day to sail... a good time to have new meetings', she thought, an amused smile playing across her lips. She began to hum rhythmically, a wordless tune as she sailed her ship, Crescent, in the waters of the Northern Suvan. It was not often that she sailed with any particular destination in mind, however, this was one of those few times she did. She had heard whispers of a gathering, whispers of a hunt about to take place. The hunt of the despised red headed pirate, of whom her kin would gladly cut down. Her lips curled into a smile of anticipation, replacing the amusement from moments earlier, eyes brightening almost imperceptibly. To all appearances, she was one of the blue-eyed, seafaring, Svefra, perhaps in her second decade of life. Who was to guess that she was not as she seemed? Taking a quick swig from her water skin, Tsukiko maneuvered her Catamaran along the shoreline, a pleasant breeze filled her sails, brushing her hair back. The air, she thought, was slowly warming up in a way that indicated the warmer weather that was to present itself in the days to come. Allowing her eyes to wander along the land, she noticed small black dots, close to what appeared to be the walls of the city, Syliras. As she neared, she found that they were the burnt out remnants of campfires, some of the larger ones perhaps bonfires. Tsukiko squinted against the morning light, making out some figures here and there, some appearing to be sparing. Slowly, she guided her vessel towards some of the beached ships. She had found the meeting place. Preparing to beach her small ship, she tossed a rope over the side, near the prow, and waited for her home to slowly drift into position. As soon as her Catamaran was shallow as possible without the sand beneath scratching it's underside, she vaulted out, bending her knees slightly to absorb the impact. Grasping the rope with a strong grip, Tsukiko dug her heels into the sand, and began hauling her ship onto the sand. A light sheen of sweat covered her brow by the time she had her ship in the position she desired. Drawing the back of her left hand to swipe it away, she looked around, wondering if she would see any familiar faces. |
