The Quays There are a few ways to land a boat on Black Rock, and the only safe and accepted route is via the quays to the southeast. The canals of Black Rock are outfitted with their own intricate mooring system, made of blackened wood, that adjust along with the canals when the hour changes. The docks are dark and sturdy, although they look dangerous and creak threateningly. A few boats and shacks adorn the precarious-looking maze. There appears to be no guards, just vaguely interested natives going about their own business. The small number of lingering dead are sometimes visible, on the docks, in the water... and conversing with the locals. Beyond the ramshackle landing area is the settlement, with the Watchtower, Spire, and the marble buildings... a line of tombs, perhaps. Welcome to Black Rock. |
