Kyra quickly shuffled her legs to get them under him, then brought her feet to rest against his chest and shoulder as she pushed him off her. The girl panted with a loud sigh of relief, falling back onto the back and glancing around to get a better look of the room around her. The light from the lantern didn't carry far from the table but showed enough for her to see personal affects near-by. The table that held the lantern also contained a coin pouch and a few other items. Next to the table and closer to the door, a chair sat with clothing folded in it. The wall above the table held some form of rack in which a katana was displayed on the top and a bastard sword underneath.

It was likely his room, or someone else that he knew. It gave her a bit of insight to where she was, nothing solid, but judging by the personal feel of the room, she assumed that she was no longer in the pleasure house. Kyra turned her head up so that she could see the bonds that held her wrists to the bed post. They were thick ropes knotted around the top wooden plank. The young kelvic tried to pull her arms out and force the ropes loose but she wasn't strong enough. She twisted around on the bed for a bit, rolling her hips so that she could slam her feet into the headboard.

Once she was positions against the head of the bed, she pulled hard against it with her arms, while slamming her feet into it again and again. Kyra paused for a moment, glancing over her shoulder to see if the man had woken up before she continued on. It took some times, but finally the board began to crack from the stress she put on it while kicking and pulling against it. Kyra rammed her feet into the board over and over again and pulled against it with all her might until the board split around the tied off plank and she was able to slip the knot off the torn edge. Finally free from the bed, she pushed herself up and away from the it.

She was off the bed, but she wasn't free completely, not until she removed the rope from her wrists. Her gaze lifted to the swords mounted on the rack and against the wall and as she thought up an idea. Kyra moved to the table and awkwardly climbed up, using her legs to off set her lack of balance with her arms still tied together. Reaching up, she pulled the katana from the rack and then hopped off the table. Kyra stared at the sheath weapon for a bit, trying to figure out how to removed the blade and finally turned it upside down so that it dropped out onto the floor.

There was a loud clank, and Kyra quickly turned to see if the noise awoke the man on the bed, and listened to see if she heard other foot steps outside the door. She already knew that she had been taken by more than one person and that they were likely still close by. The young kelvic turned and leaned against the table after retrieving the katana from the floor. She turned the blade upward and attempted to balance the handle between her thighs as she slipped the blade between her wrists. It was a lot harder than she would have thought, and the katana fell away many times before she could get a firm hold on it.

From there she moved her arms up and down the blade, making sure to push against it to force a deeper cut. It was a dangerous task that she set out to do, and with the slightest mistake she could injury herself. Chimes later the katana had ripped through the ropes and Kyra was finally free to use her arms. Standing up again, she moved over to the chair where she had saw the clothing moments before. The clothing belonged to the man she had left on the bed, and although it was too big for her, she didn't have anything else to put on.

The girl dressed herself in the dark blue vest and black pants which she had to tie off with a belt. His boots were far too big for her to wear and her own shoes weren't anywhere to be found, leaving her to go bare foot for the time. Just as she was about to reach to the floor for the sheath of the katana, she heard a groaning sound coming from the bed. The man she had knocked out was slowly coming too. Kyra grabbed the katana from where she had left it and returned to the bed side. The man still laid there, clumped onto his side and facing away from her. She raised the blade and slide it over his shoulder and to his neck.

She knew that she should finish the job, but in her haste to escape, Kyra would have been fine with simply slipping out of the room. After all, she had learned that it wasn't him that she needed to kill, but the older man that he must have worked for. However that changed the moment he started to moved around again. She couldn't risk him warning anyone that she was free and moving about. On the other hand, he deserved it, just as they all did. Whether he killed Marcelo or not, he was with the man who did, and so he was a part of it. And for his part....he would die.

Kyra lifted the blade upward and over her head and swiftly brought the blade singing downward across his neck. It wasn't a clean cut, nor did it cut all the way through. Instead it left a gaping laceration in his neck that squirted blood across the bed and even on her. His body twitched about on the bed as he chocked on his own blood. The young kelvic watched in silence until it was over and she was sure that he was dead. She sighed heavily, standing at the side of the bed while trying to figure out what to do next. He was out there, the man that she really needed to kill, and she wasn't about to leave until she did just that.

Kyra knew that she was in for a long fight, that much had been made apparent when she was knocked out and kidnapped. If she was going to do this, if she was going to see this through to the end, then she would have to be more careful and take less risk than she normally would. The young kelvic understood that she might not make it back alive, but she knew that to achieve her goal that she would have to play it smart. Kyra turned the katana blade and slipped it back into the sheath and trapped it to her belt. Turning around she lifted her gaze to the bastard sword still mounted on the wall.

The girl wasn't skilled in using either weapon and decided that she would need all the help that she could get in case she was disarmed. Again she moved to the table and climbed on top of it, a task that was much easier now that she had her hands freed. Reaching up, Kyra pulled the sheathed sword from the rack and jumped down again with it. Just then she heard a noise from outside the room. A voice spoke to another for a moment, before silence fell and she could hear a murmuring as foot steps drew near.

"This is not good.."

Kyra looked around quickly for a place to hide, but there was nowhere save for under the bed. The room itself was open with little furniture in it and nothing big to hide behind. Thinking quickly, Kyra doused the lanterns to bring the room into an eerie darkness. She slung the strapped bastard sword over her shoulder and tiptoed across the room and hugged the wall a few inches from the door. She could hear the man coming, even his breath as he seemed to huff and cough. The kelvic waited patiently, being sure not to make a sound as she awaited his entrance. He would not be able to see in such darkness, but Kyra's eyes were more attuned to the dark an that of a human.

He was a loud chap, slinging the door open and announcing himself upon entrance. "Vaugh! You in here boy? Don't tell me that little thing gave you a workout and put you to sleep? Shuss..Vaugh wake the hell up, you better have left enough for me." Kyra moved slowly as she stepped away from the wall, her steps were light and she only moved when the man's blaring voice boomed across the room to mask the sound of her bare feet on the floor.

"Hey Vaugh?" He called out again as he stumbled his way blindly over to the bed.
Once she was positioned behind him, Kyra pulled the katana from it's sheath, a loud hissing sound echoed across the room with it's removal, also alerting the man. "What the!" He quickly spun around completely blind as Kyra thrust the blade into his gut and pushed against him as hard as she could. "Acgh!!" he growled, stumbling backwards and falling against the table beside the bed. He reached out, grasping at anything and clamped his hands around her throat. Kyra gasped for air and gagged as the man attempted to choke the life from her.

The girl grunted and pushed upward and harder on the blade, causing it to slice through his flesh and cut up his muscles and issues throughout his abdomen. The man yelled out a gurgled cry, losing his voice to the blood rising into his lungs. His eyes widen, body twitched as his limbs numbed and he fell over the side of the bed. Kyra panted loudly, her heart throbbing fiercely inside her chest. That was two down and two to go she hoped. The young kelvic turned her gaze on the exit then, and slowly made her way out of the door.

With both blades sheathed, Kyra slowly slipped out into the hallway as quietly as she could. There were others near, she could smell them, but in the mix of aromas she couldn't tell how many or exactly where they all were. Sniffing the air, she continued to creep further into the hall, her bare feet lightly stepping across the floor as she tried to muffle the sound as much as possible. There was a creaking sound in the floor boards, causing her to pause in place and listen to see if anyone had been alerted before she would continue.

The young kelvic drew closer to the first door opposite the stairwell and moved closer to it, taking one simple step at a time. She breathed in, allowing her ears to pricker and follow the sound of her foot steps so that she could adjust and make them lighter. Again her nose twitched, and her eyes widen when the scent of a man drew near and just inside the room that she hid outside of. Just as she was about to try and sneak by, a man appeared in the door way staring out at her. His sudden appearance causing her to jump back as her body tensed up.

"Hey! Where you going?"

He looked her over a bit confused, seeing the familiar attire of one of his allies hanging loosely on the frame of the tiny girl. The man wasn't sure what to make of it all, but he did know that she wasn't supposed to be out and walking around. Reaching over his shoulder, he drew forth a rather large sword and brought it down so that she could see it. "Don't do anything stupid and I won't have to cut you up." he said with a smirk. Kyra hissed as she reached over her shoulder and pulled the bastard sword free of it's sheath. Golden embers flicking with a fiery glow settled on him, she slipped her tongue across her feline fangs as she watched his movements.

"I won't kill ya, but I'm gonna have to hurt ya."

The man said with a smug attitude just before his features harden and he took a viscous swing at the girl with the flat of his sword. Kyra doubled back, almost losing her footing as she moved to dodge the strike. Stepping in, she raised her sword and slammed it into his the second time he brought it around to block the shot. Both combatants recoiled, bringing their swords around again to slam into the other with a loud clank. Kyra grunted, feeling the weight of his sword as he tried to force her own weapon back and against her chest.

The girl managed to push him off, and stepped forward to unleash a flurry of strikes again him. They were slow, unpolished and wild swings and the man either ducked or block each of them. Another wild swing was slung by the young kelvic, which was blocked perfectly and sent her bastard sword spinning into the air and over the side of the stairwell. Kyra quickly moved against him to avoid the length of his sword's reach and slammed her knee into his gut. The move caught him by surprise and for a tick he let down his guard giving her the chance to slam her elbow into his neck and another knee into the side of his head.

Winded, but only for moment, the man regained his strength and used his muscles to shove her backward and send the tiny girl flailing over the top of the staircase. Luckily, she was able to turn her body, and force her legs to spin her over where she could catch a hold of the bottom edge wooden plank on the staircasing to stop herself from crashing into the floor. Glancing around, she noticed the man hurrying down the stairs to meet her and finish their fight. Kyra released the railing and dropped down a few feet onto the floor below. Reaching to her hip, she pulled the katana free of the sheath and prepared to finish their duel.

Kyra raced towards the small side table closest to the staircase, but instead of moving around it, the kelvic leaped onto of it. Just as she did, her opponent raced forward and delivered a viscous swing of his heavy blade towards her legs. Kyra turned on her heels, and flipped her body in an arch that sent her over his sword as well as his head, when she then landed with a stumble behind him. The man quickly spun around, swinging with both hands on the handle of his massive weapon towards the girl.

Kyra was able to lift her sword to block his attack, a loud clash echoed throughout the halls from the mighty swing and Kyra found herself tumbling backwards and against the chair and table in the center of the room. The man skipped forward two steps, turning his body into a full 360 swing as he attempted to behead the girl in one swoop. Taking another step back, Kyra launched herself on top of the table where she landed flat on her back just before the large blade soared over her body. Pulling her knees into her chest, the girl slammed her boots into the man's chest to knock him backwards.

She sat up, pushing herself off the table while bringing her arm around to swing her blade wildly in front of her. He blocked the attack and they both returned to their stances as they continued to clash blades against each other. For a few ticks, they matched blow for blow and it seemed that neither was tiring or willing to give up. The fight continued on, their blades clashing hard enough to send vibrations through their limbs. Taking a chance at a fatal stab, Kyra tried to slam the katana into his gut, but in such close range he was able to force her off balance as he drew her in with his own weapon. With a turn of his blade he freed the katana from the girl and sent it tumbling across the floor.

Thinking quickly, Kyra rammed her knee into his crotch to disable him, but the man reacted with a very viscous backhand that sent her backwards and over the table as it turned over as well. Laying on the floor, the room began to spin as a dizzy spell settled in on the kelvic, just as the man fought to regain his composure from her last attack. He shook off the pain and started towards her again, but Kyra was also ready. She slammed her boots into the table to force it forward to where the legs of the table bashed against his knees and causing him to stumble forward.

She grabbed the chair that had fallen next to her and flung it at him awkwardly. The chair slammed half way into the table by her feet and the legs swung around where the foot raked into his eyes. The man yelled stumbling back and reaching up to shield his eyes. He swung his other hand out in front of him to attack her and it was then that he realized that he had lost his sword. He blinked, forcing his eyes open as he stared at the blurry figure in front of him. Kyra now stood with the large sword in her hands ready to strike. The man doubled back, trying to stay on his toes so that he could dodge her swing.

Instead Kyra flung the weapon angry at his head with a war-like cry. The man ducked and the sword soared across the room and jammed itself into the wall. He was so close and yet she had missed. Looking up, the man saw the sword and the short distance he would need to get to it. Just as well Kyra caught sight of her katana. They both glanced at either other for a short tick before springing into a race towards the weapons. The man raced to the wall and Kyra towards the staircase. Both reached their weapons about the same time, but the man had a bit of trouble pulling his sword from the wall. By the time he had freed it and turned around, he caught sight of the katana as it swiped across his neck and face.

The man cloaked and gagged as he fell backwards and slid down the wall, leaving a mess of blood everywhere. Kyra panted loudly, her heart raced and she felt as if her body would collapse from exhaustion at any moment. Taking another deep breath she tried to calm herself and call upon the last bit of strength that she had left. The night wasn't over and she knew that she still had one last person to find. Once she was ready she began to climb up the stairs again and head back up. She remembered that there was another room that she hadn't checked, one further down from the one where the thug had come from.

Kyra was so tired, and the strides that she made across the floor clearly showed this. Her arms hung loose as if she barely had any strength left to even wield the katana. Pushing the door open at the end of the hall she was met with a surprising sight. The old man was standing right in front of her unarmed. His hands were at his side and he didn't attempt to move only stared at the girl.

"You have ruined everything..all that I have worked to accomplish and for what..revenge?" he spat with a quivering lip. "I will take back nothing that I have done I.."

Before he could speak another word, Kyra swung the katana up and slashed open his throat. It wasn't a clean cut, but another that gashed deeper in one end and drew out lighter towards the end of the cut. He reached up quickly grasping his neck as he chocked and began to stumble about his room. Kyra watched him, an intense glare in her eyes as she followed him, grabbing his shoulder and ramming the blade deeply into his back to finish him off.

A strange groaning sound slipped from his open mouth as he looked down to find the blade of the katana sticking out from his chest. The old man tried to turn back around be ended up on the ground before he made it half way. Kyra stood beside him looking down at his crumbled form as she breathed deeply. She stood there, her gaze fixed upon him until she watched him take his last breath. A few ticks later, the young kelvic slowly made her way out of the room and headed out to find the exit. She had thought that she would feel better, that after avenging Marcelo that she could find peace. But there was nothing, she was no more happy or at peace than she had been for a long time. Her mother, their butler, and even Marcelo..they were all gone and Kyra was still alone.

She didn't know what she would do now, or where she would go, but she knew that the answers had to be out there somewhere. And if there wasn't if the world outside of the walls of Ravok held no more answers for her, then perhaps she would simply fade away and become a ghost upon the whispers in the wind. For whatever her future held, for her time in the city of Ravok...this was goodbye.

Loot: Kyra's Apartment Key, 9 Gold Mizas, 7 Silver Mizas, 1 Dagger, Set of men's clothing, 1 Izentor Crafted Katana*See notes for details, 1 Bastard Sword

Lores: Sensing an Ambush, Seeking Vengeance in a Whore House, Meeting Marcelo's Killer, Escaping from Bindings, Killer Thighs, Vengeance Finally Had

Notes: Quick note, be careful overplaying your unarmed combat. As somebody who does karate, using roundhouses and stuff like that in an actual fight is extremely difficult.

Now, on to the Katana. I know that you wanted a special rhysol-related katana, but that quest didn't really work out. I don't remember what all we talked about regarding this thread specifically, but I checked back through my PMs and found nothing regarding the katana in this thread. Still, I wanted it to be at least a little special, because this was an awesome solo. So, here is the info on your katana:

Izentor Crafted Katana:

This blade was crafted by one who bore the first mark of Izentor. As such, it will never dull, and will never break unless faced against a more powerful blade. It is not true isurian steel, however, but is regular steel imbued with the power of Izentor.

There is a rune engraved on the blade, just above the guard. If Kyra does the research, or if she just happens to recognize it, she will discover that the rune is the same symbol on the sign outside the Defiled Blade.

This was a great thread. I really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work, and keep writing!
