Asra's Bathhouse and Spa Nestled behind the Safe Haven Hostel, Asra’s Bath House and Spa isn’t the only public bathhouse in Nyka, but it’s one of the most popular. After passing through a rosy entrance adorned with soaring pillars, arches, and effigies of Rak’keli, Nikali and Makutsi, one goes down a short, branching hallway into one of two marble changing rooms. Towels, cabinets for clothes and possessions, and stone benches can be found inside, and ivy decorates the walls, while potted roses and magnolias provide color and fragrance. The bath itself is in the center of the establishment, and similar in style to the entrance, with an open roof allowing an unobstructed view of the skies above, and statues of the same Goddesses watching from the balcony. Men and women bathe together, and the water is always kept at a lukewarm temperature due to diverted springs and Asra’s ministrations. The city funds the bathhouse, and in exchange, citizens are allowed in for free. Foreigners and those on visa, on the other hand, must pay a five silver fee for the privilege. She generally dresses in loose, airy clothes in shades of yellow and violet. Though a native of Ahnatep, Asra’s dedication to her customers and Eypharian sensibilities have earned her a place in Nyka, and a special spot in many peoples’ hearts. Doting, often flirtatious, and always amicable, Asra can often be seen tending to her patrons, and quite a few Nykans frequent her bathhouse for the sole purpose of speaking with her.
