ImageHe smiled and took Iosha into a big hug more akin to a bear, than an owl Kelvic. Ishgrameer loosed a hearty chuckle as Iosha joked. He smiled as one by one he was introduced to individuals who seemed to just keep appearing to join their little group. He recognized one of them from the Dek incident last fall, he was a young lad, which made him wonder if this was his first few times being here. Ishgrameer watched as Iosha went about talking to others and decided to sit down in an open chair. He took a large swig of his drink, and couldn't help but delight in the alcohol of the drink, and the cornucopia of fruity flavors. He looked to Kitchi, noticing her entranced look at his hair, and smiled as he plucked one from his hair. As he offered it to her in an outstretched hand he said "It is a pleasure to meet you Kitchi. What is it you do in Wind Reach?".

He surveyed the dancers, and marveled at the skill, or lack of skill, that they danced with. He wanted out of curiosity to join them, but he couldn't for the life of him dance. He wondered if Fraha would dance with him. He wondered if Iosha or Kitchi would dance with him, and yet he wondered what Fraha would think, and then he wondered why he was wondering such. He took another gulp of his drink, and the wave of alcohol and fruit flooded over his jumbled thoughts, casting them adrift and aloof, yet in a strange sense of order.

Then rather out of character he said "Would anyone care to show me how to dance, i am afraid i never learned in my youth among the wilds. Birds don't dance. But i would like to try.".

He stood drinking the last of his glass and setting it down before running a hand through his mess of hair.

Kitchi watched as the tall man plucked one of the feathers from his hair. She was surprised by the ease at which it came out and vaguely wondered why they didn't fall out. The feather was stretched forwards towards her and she took it from his hand, running her fingers across the soft feather and watching the tiny strand part and rejoin around each movement.
'It is a pleasure to meet you Kitchi. What is it you do in Wind Reach?' The large man inquired. She made a mental note that next time she heard his name she would remember it as it seemed inappropriate to ask now. 'would anyone care to show me how to dance, I am afraid I never learned in my youth among the wild. Birds don't dance. But I would like to try' He continued and Kitchi puzzled over his words internally. Birds? Wild? Did that mean he was a kelvin? A bird kelvin at that. She wondered what bird, an owl? A rook? A magpie? A wagtail?
'I would love to, if I was convinced I knew how to' her Salford eyes turned towards the dance floor once more, she was sure her dancing skills, or lack thereof, would not be noticed in the jumbled crowd but even so she did not desire to make a fool of herself, and she certainly had not had enough to drink yet to merit not caring. Another glance towards her slowly decreasing drink and she took another gulp, finishing the last of the orange liquid.

Postby Kanri on March 9th, 2013, 3:34 am

Kanri was welcomed warmly by Iosha, who she was surprised remembered her. She smiled and answered her. "Oh, no it isn't. But normally, I don't know the other people and I'm not as much of large crowd person," Kanri responded happily. She felt a little better now that she had someone she could to talk to.

Then, another very familiar face arrived. It was Ardal.

Kanri had not been able to have a decent conversation with him all Winter. But then again, in a loud Night Club, there was no way she would be able to do that here anyway. But it was nice to see him again anyway.

"Do I want to dance? Maybe but I'm not good at it. I can't ever think of what to do!" Kanri answered him. "Maybe a little later? When it plays a song, I can dance better!"

However, the other Inarta (Kitchi) and the tall man (Ishgrameer) seemed like they might be about to go dance. Kanri felt pressured to go dance too. Especially since the others seemed just a tad reluctant, she could run out there and dance and show off. Except that she wasn’t a talented dancer. But she had a really good sense of beat. That would be enough to redeem her, right? There were plenty of other fools out there. There was only one way for her to get better at dancing anyway; trying it.

"Oh, alright, Ardal, we can dance but you'll have to help me. That is my requirement," Kanri told him.

He seemed to perk up at this, offered her a big smile, and led her by the hand to a less crowded part of the dance floor. She was glad, even if more eyes were on her here. The center looked like it might get awkward and uncomfortable quickly and Kanri was very prepared to stay away from there. There was a very lively, toe-tapping (or head banging, depending on your enthusiasm) beat to the music.

Kanri had greeted him with a warm smile; she seemed pleased to see him which was good enough for him. The others didn’t pay him much mind but that was okay indifferent is better than hostile any day.

She had acted reluctant at first, “it’s okay I can’t dance ether, we can learn together.” He didn’t normally do things like this but he was determined to not be the same withdrawn wallflower anymore, she had eventually agreed to it. He smiled, took another sip from the bitter drink and placed it back on the table. He then took her by the hand and led her to the edge of the dance floor. He had no idea what do from here he surveyed the crowd to see what the others were doing. He saw a few in an embrace while others were dance in front of each other. He decided to do the later not wanting to overstep any boundaries just doing a simple step to the beat of the music. If she hinted at a slow dance he’d oblige but he was still too shy to ask for one himself.

oocI hope it's not too late to jump in ^^

Gods, when was the last time I've actually had a drink? Arandolya wandered into Inclement Weather only because she heard free ones were being handed out tonight in celebration of Spring. The lights were bright, and threatened her make her dizzy, music so loud she barely heard her own thoughts, and people pressing close enough she could barely breathe. Arandolya could only smile uneasily, and push her way towards the crowded bar, wriggling around the dancing figures and already drunken messes.

Arandolya adjusted her vinati, and waited for the bartender, humming to herself. She had at least taken the time to braid a few sections of hair with some feathers, and then tied it back into a more elaborate twist that bounced between her shoulder blades. Her black bryda had small glass beads at the top, and feather earrings swung over her shoulders. On her small amount of money, this was as good as it was going to get. Honey eyes searching for anyone familiar, Arandolya only found blinding lights flashing briefly over a lot of skin, and unknown faces. She wasn't really here to socialize anyways, and turned towards the bar.

It took a while to wait out the orders of the Endals, which seemed to flock towards the thought of free alcohol. Well, all the Inartans did really. It almost felt like the entire span of Wind Reach was in here. "Fuzzy Squirrel, please," Arandolya finally managed, the drink bumping her hand moments later. Tessa winked and Arandolya grinned in return, raising her drink in a salute to the attractive woman.

Moving off, Arandolya knew it would be hopeless to search for a free spot, instead looking for just a free chair to sit on. Her feet took her close to a mixed group of men and woman. One she knew was a Konti, they were pretty hard to mistake as mortal humans, another Inarta, a couple younger kids, and a man that had feathers in his hair. Arandolya absently touched the ones that littered her own red hair, ensuring there were still in place, and began to make her way over.

"Hey there, beautiful, come dance," a voice whispered in her ear, a hand jerking her to a stop. Arandolya huffed in displeasure as a bit of her drink spilled, and looked to the man who had hold of her wrist.
"Save a dance for me later, and we will," Arandolya said graciously, though she had no plans of seeing this man again. If she timed it nicely he'd be too drunk later to remember.
"No, let us dance now," he said, pulling her closer. Arandolya wriggled away, and raised her glass.
"Don't want to spill this, I'll drink it, then we'll dance," she said with a wink, and quickly escaped by ducking behind a few others that danced - if that's what the groping could be called - and moved towards the group she had been aiming for previously.

"Hello," Arandolya said with a smile, earrings swaying as she stopped in front of their table. "I was wondering if I might be able to sit with you?" she asked, addressing them as a whole, as her deep amber gaze flicked from one pair of eyes to the next as she spoke. Once she reached the Konti though, Arandolya paused, and her gaze became curious. "You wouldn't happen to be Iosha, would you?" she inquired, recalling Red mentioning a Konti named just so, calling her 'Lady Iosha'. Her lips twitched into a grin at the thought, but she remained still, eating the lime slice to get to the almond embedded inside.

Postby Iosha on March 12th, 2013, 2:23 am

Iosha leaned in to Kanri trying to hear the teenagers questions answer to her questions. She smiled up at the girl when she said it wasn't her first time at the club. Iosha was about to say something else, but the young man eyes seemed determined to dance with Kanri. She leaned back in her chair, sipped her drink, and turned her head to the growing crowd. Iosha wanted to dance, but she knew at the moment she wasn't drunk enough to dull her anxiety. As she scanned the crowd, her violet eyes saw a handsome young man with long blood red hair. The young man could tell she was watching him, so he looked at her with his golden eyes and gave her a smile. Iosha smiled back at him and sipped her drink. She knew when she was ready to dance. Iosha would have to locate the young man later on the dance floor. She turned her head watched a beautiful red head walking toward her. She laughed to herself and whispered in Kontinese, “I need to come to the club more often..” Iosha sipped her drink and watched the crimson hair woman get closer. Iosha wondered if the woman was a hunter because of her well developed shoulder and arm muscles. The Inarta woman was beautiful, and Iosha couldn't help feel a attraction toward this woman.

Iosha smiled up at Kanri and Ardel when they decided to take their chances on the dance floor. Iosha smiled up at the woman when she asked if she could sit with her. Iosha took a sip of her drink and said with a warm smile, “Hello. Yes, I don't mind if you sit by me since I am on a mission to get nice and drunk tonight!” Iosha smirked at the woman and said with a laugh, “Besides who could pass up a conversation with a beautiful woman like yourself...” Iosha could start to feel the alcohol running through her veins, and she knew from past experience that she was a flirtatious drunk. She just hoped the woman wouldn't get offended by her playful flirts. When the woman knew her by name, Iosha raised her violet eye and tilted her head wondering if she was starting to get a reputation, and she said with smile, “Yes, I am Iosha Moonchaser, and may I ask you your name?” Iosha eyes watched lights flicker off the feather earrings as she waited for a response from the beautiful stranger.

Kitchi stood as the flurry of movement swirled around her. More people had joined her corner and it was starting to get crowded. It was not that she hated crowds but they never seemed to bring any good news. She was almost happy when the two young Inarta's stepped away and towards the dance floor, Kitchi was not sure why they had decided to step away or what their brief conversation had entailed. Another woman had soon joined them, taking the place of the others. She immediately directed her attention towards Iosha, seeming to recognise the blonde Konti. Some more greetings she did not truly care to listen too flew through the air around her, dancing in the noise and music and voices. Kitchi stared down at her empty glass, half tempted to force her way back through the crowd to get another, she was not nearly drunk enough to deal with the noise and throbbing the dance club caused, how on earth did anyone get into it? If it was not for the company she might have gone home once she finished her drink but instead she was lingering in the annoying lights.
'You know what, come on, lets dance' She resigned, grabbing Ishgrameer by the hand and attempting to lugging him towards the dance floor. She twirled around as she moved, so that she walked backwards with her blue eyes fixed on her momentary partner. What use would standing in the alcove all night be?

Free drinks for all!

Postby Ishgrameer Windwalker on March 12th, 2013, 7:48 pm

ImageIshgrameer watched as the various individuals arrived at their alcove following his arrival. Sip by sip, the seconds passed away, and his drink descended lower in his glass. All around them the lights get dancing, along with the people strewn about the dance floor, creating a sea of colors and shifting forms. He let the conversations of his fellow alcove attendants passively flow through his ears. When one of them wanted to dance they'd say so, and he figured after the departure of the two younger Inartan's that someone would join him.

It was thus, as he was taking a drink, that he was caught off guard when Kitchi grabbed him by the hand, and led him down onto the dance floor. Before he was too far gone he drank the last of his drink, delighting in the fruity sensation that cascaded across his taste buds and down his throat. He quickly placed the glass down on his seat beside Iosha, as he was totally whisked away into the throng of the crowd.

However, unlike the rest of the individuals who seemingly blended into the throng of dancers, Ishgrameer still stood out, given his height, and the height of those around him. Still the lights helped to hide him from to far off, and he tried his best to swallow his nerves.

Kitchi turned and stared up at him with beautiful blue eyes. They were marvelous sapphires. He felt a little more at ease. Once they had stopped He tried his best to dance, using what little he remembered from memory, and what little more he could mimic from the crowd. All in all he felt foolish, but he tried to not make Kitchi look to foolish. He wondered just how ridiculous he looked, and what Kitchi thought of it, and what those back at the alcove thought since they must be able to see him.

Kitchi felt unusual as she dragged the tall male into the crowd, although he had asked earlier it still seemed spontaneous. A small voice inside her argued she was overstepping the mark, being inappropriate, but the alcohol was sufficient to keep it silent within her. Her vision was mildly blurred, it was not unpleasant but quite unusual. In any case Ishgrameer did not argue and placed his drink down on an empty seat to follow her. Once inside the crowd the small voice disappeared into the lull of music and bodies, occasionally they would be pushed slightly by another but everything was reasonably calm, it was almost like being in the market on a busy day. Ishgrameer stood out against the crowd, his height made sure of that, however Kitchi almost seemed to disappear in the crowd, her red hair and small stature mixing into the throng of people. Besides her blue eyes she could have easily been mistaken for almost any Inarta by a stranger. The music was louder outside of the alcove and she wondered how anyone could frequent such a place, what was the lure? She was sure that if the offer of free drinks had not been displayed then she would likely be hurting or curled into the library. You would have missed out on the company, a voice argued in her head and she almost laughed at the idea, it was strange how things brought people together sometimes. Her blue eyes quickly scanned the crowd, attempting to pull out any moves she could copy without looking too ridiculous. She turned her eyes towards Ishgrameer, his intense orange eyes meeting hers. She marvelled at the unusual color, it was a rare occasion to meet someone who was not an Inarta within the confines of Wind Reach let alone someone with such unusual features. She made a mental note to inquire more, was it something to do with his animal form? She puzzled over the idea, had she remembered such information correctly?
'So what animal are you?' She questioned, although she was unsure if it could be heard over the noise of music and voices.

Postby Kanri on March 15th, 2013, 8:36 pm

Kanri had to stop herself from laughing out loud because Ardal couldn't really dance either. But it was alright because it made her look less like a fool. She never knew what to do with her hands. When she was really little, she had seen a man dance and play the panpipes at the same time and since then, she had often imagined playing and dancing. So, she never knew what to do with her hands because she never imagined dancing without it. She let her arms hang, a little stiffly, and stood on her toes, as if keeping her balancing while walking on a low ridge. With that, she matched Ardal's spirited step to the beat of the music. It was amusing; They both had a sense of beat with no idea of what to do.

But as the music went on around them for a while, they both seemed to grasp a better feeling for the music and each other's moves. It was even pleasant once they got the hang of it. They matched each other's steps and didn't crash into anything... for the most part. Kanri began tying to throw in a spin every now and then, but often lost her balance and crashed into Ardal or nearby people. But most of the people were a bit too tipsy to notice and Ardal didn't care too much. She laughed a lot as they danced because it made her smile. She was sure they looked silly but she didn't care that much right then.

Eventually, the song reached an end and the crowd cheered and clapped, Kanri's voice joining. The fast-passed song left Kanri feeling hot and thirsty, but she was not sure she wanted any more alcohol. She had never gotten drunk, and she did not plan to start tonight. But she didn't want to leave yet. She didn't mind dancing with Ardal.

"I am going to run and grab a drink of water. Do you want to come?" Kanri asked, leaning close to him so he could hear over the crowd.
