Looking for a place to be

Even the dead needs to make a living
For a very long while, Jilitse stood in front of Aenysa Tieran, with cart in tow. Numerous people have passed by, the very business of the Welcome Center unfolding before her eyes. But the nuit stood still, deliberating a decision to be made. She knew the girl to be a Greeter, but she could not pin down the right words to say. Jil stared at Aenysa, unblinking for almost an hour.
The wheels of the cart creaked when she finally moved and took a step forward. Even so, she took a few more chimes before finally speaking up, her chilly voice fighting the warmth and friendliness of the other girl. "You think there would be work for someone like me?" The dark ring around her eyes and tongue was a dead giveaway of Jil's misunderstood race. She expected Aenysa to have seen her own share of Nuits. "I know a little metalsmithing and embalming," she whispered as if they were the most uninteresting skills in the world. She skipped revealing that she knew Animation, she preferred to keep that a secret. "I want to work somewhere where I would not attract attention to myself. I do not want to disturb in as much as I do not want to be disturbed. You think there would be somebody who would not mind working with someone like me?" Jil was casual yet cautious. She didn't really want to herald that an undead was looking for a job in town. A Nuit needing money was a concept that was really hard to explain. "I was wondering if I could be allowed to take on more than one job at a time. I don't sleep, in fact, I can't. Could that sort of arrangement be accommodated?" Who knows what she'll have to do to keep herself busy when she no longer had anything to do. It was better to work the whole day and night. She needed to be busy. She also needed the money. Jilitse nodded at Aenysa's answer, her blank expression giving nothing away.
"I'm also aware that you know your way around the Castle. I need to buy a couple of things, and I would appreciate it if you could tell me which is the way to the Bazaar?" An unnecessary question, she knew where the Bazaar was. "Where are the specialty shops located?" She looked warily at her cart.
