"Oh no, I will pay, don't worry".

Nost smiled while he finished his sentence. He then ordered a cup of tea for him and his companion. The place was quite busy, so they would have to wait some time before their tea arrived. The last time he went to the Quill's Rest, it was empty compared to that day. It was noisier than usual, and the calmed atmosphere that usually reigned the place, was replaced by something similar to what was in the docks, something that Nost didn't enjoy. At all.

You can use this time to converse and know her better, just ask something, but don't be the weird person you usually are!

"If you don't mind the question, tell me. Where are you from?

He liked the mystery Lexa demonstrated. She seemed to be a profound person, and it would be a challenge to know her well. He enjoyed challenges, specially when they involve something he hadn't practice with. "Knowledge is power" his father always said.

Nost had moved to pay before Lexa had the chance to stop him. She let it slide. After all, she supposed, free stuff was always better. The man seemed to look at her inquisitively. He would speak again then, after sitting down at the table after ordering the tea. He would ask her a question that Lexa wasn't always sure about. She always gave whoever asked the closest answer she could find-- the place she spent the most time in in her younger years, that was Nyka.

She looked at all the people sitting and chatting, drinking tea. She could happily say that she was one of them now. She wasn't alone, she had company "I was born in Nyka." Lexa told Nost, her brown eyes finding their way back to his. "My family travelled to different places around the Sylirus region mostly. We didn't venture out too much." She though of Nyka. It had been to religious for her liking. But she had felt pretty good fighting there, when she won of course. She didn't know if she'd ever want to go there again. "Were you born in Zeltiva, Nost?" She asked him. "It seems like a decent place to live. I've never really lived somewhere for very long in my life.

"Yes, I was born here. It's a nice place, if you like the seagulls annoying you all day". Nost said, joking. "I don't really travel much. In fact, I don't remember going outside this city, but I plan to go to Taldera, once I have the opportunity"

Going to the legendary region of Taldera has been one of the countless dreams of the young man. He was amazed of the tales of the Jamoura his father had told him when he was nothing but a small child. The Spires seemed like an ideal place for someone seeking for peace, and knowledge, and the people who inhabited there possibly shared the same idea than Nost.

You will never go outside this town, you filthy kid! You don't deserve to live an adventure!

"Um... tell me, Lexa, where have you been here in Zeltiva? What have you visited so far?" He asked, nervously, while he drank some kelp tea. It was something that had always calmed him, and helped him when he was ill.
He had always been a sickish boy. He remembered being entire winters in bed because of an illness, and kelp tea was the solution for many of his problems. In fact, in that precise moment, he had a mild headache, so he rested his head on his hand a for a while.

"Oh, that sounds like an adventure." Lexa said, giving him a small smile " Lexa said "I've never been there either. I'm not sure where 'm going once I'm done here, but I'll be here for a long time yet."

She thought about his next question, and smiled, thinking about her detour to the rather shady part of town immediately, and the woman she'd met there. It had been the start of some sort of purpose that she could have in her life. It had given her existence even a little bit of meaning. She opened her mouth to reply

"I haven't been to many places. A few shops, This place was the first place I found." She decided not to tell him about the wrong turn she's made, finding herself in east street. At least not yet.

"Yes, this is one of the places one must visit at least once, with such a calmed athmosphere, you feel so peaceful in here..." Nost said, before giving a long, deep breath. He smiled then, but his face suddenly changed from a pleased stance, to an expression of pain. His body had other plans.

The scare in his side hurted again, and he had to check it immediately. As discretly as he could, he moved his hand to hold his injury. Unfortunately, he pressed too much, causing him more pain instead of helping. He then expressed grief in his face again, but this time, it was more noticeable. Out of embarrassment, he decided to leave as fast as he could. He left a tip in the table, and then excused himself.
"I'm sorry... but um... I must... um... go to work now. Sorry again!"
And then he left rushing. Perhaps she would follow him, if she was interested enough in talking. He wasn't good at making friends, and after all, he wasn't lying. He did have to go to work.

OOCI beg your pardon. I took too much time while answering this thread, and I'm really sorry. I would like to ask you if you would like to end this thread here, or maybe keep going.
