Annoying Big "Brothers" (Ximal)

Spring 7th, 513AV
Safe Haven Hostel

Birds chirped out beautifully to the morning with their songs, a morning so grey in dawn had slowly risen to become a bright sunny morning, making the foggish mist dissapear. The inhabitants of the Hostel would still be very much asleep by this time, or so Ana reasoned out, getting quite comfortable with her friends, and hers new temporary home. They had only arrived a few days prior from their Spires travels, and Ana, oh that dastardly little thief was bored. She mused to herself as she stalked about her room trying to find something to do other than bore herself to death, her friends should be awake by now, they should be, but she heard no signs of them getting up any time soon. So Ana, unbeknownst to Ximal, crept out to the hallway just outside her room and took a turn to find Ximal's room.

Opening the door as quietly as she could, Ana peered in to see the big lug laying in bed snoring. This won't do, Ana thought to herself as she stepped in lightly, letting the door remain open as she made her way to him. Staring down at the man she called friend, she brought a hand up to her chin and rubbed it gingerly in thought. What would be the best way to wake Ximal up? She pondered some on how she would go about doing this, and finally deciding she would jump on top of him. Covering her mouth to hide the smile that spread itself across her face, and to muffle the giggles that threatened to break through, she took a few moments to breathe and relax herself. She wanted to be calm, and do this the right way to give it the best affect- and hopefully it would be comical to him (hopefully.)

When she simmered down her muffled laughter, and replaced the smile with something more grim. Ana bent her knees a tad, bent her elbows as well and swung them back as she prepared to make an amazing jump onto the brute. Once, twice, thrice and a fourth time she maneuvered her center of gravity on the balls of her feet and pushed up with as much force as she could to jump on top of the sleeping Ximal. Her feet landed on the bed, and she herself had toppled over him as she would shout "WAKE UP! XIMAL!" Ana spoke loudly in a clear, concise tone of voice after the initial shout "there are killer llama's attacking the city! Get up!" Now she really couldn't hold back the smile that revealed herself, and then the snorts, as she concealed the laughter into more panicked terror.

Annoying Big "Brothers" (Ximal)

Postby Ximal on March 24th, 2013, 10:25 pm

Sleep, glorious sleep . Xi'sd been sleeping soundly in some semblance of a bed. Oblivious to the world outside until a certain little thief had wormed her way into his room. Still sleeping and her unbeknownst to him Xi had kept himself hidden beneath his blankets all of his dear beneath his bed along with all his clothes across the way on the desk. The morning had just broken and Xi begun to wake from his sleep before she leapt on his bed and startled him awake. A screma from ehr for him to wake up followed by a maddening exclamation of a killer llama attacking the city ? Xi snapped up sand threw the blanket off of him in a startled and confused moment. Declaiding in a voice louder thna normal. "i'm a wake!" Xi brought a hand to his face before snappign up and rubbed his eye's of their sleep addled wearinees.Only to be greeted with a grinning and laughing she beast. Xi wanted to smack her upside the back iof the head and then remembered a few things...Firstly that he wasn't wearing anything, secondly that it was early morning and he'd probably woken up half of the hostel and thirdly that she was an insomniac so she was bound to be up. Xi yanked the blanket back down over his waist for a few seconds before sliding out of the bed blanket still around his waist and getting dressed. "Ana...Sometimes...I want top hit you." Xi yawned loudly before starting to get dressed. Blanked still around his waist at least untill he had both his undergarments and his pants on. Then he let the blanket fall to turn and lunged at ana before nugging her head lightly as if to say " don't do that again you little devil" Smirking now he let her go and slid on his shirt. "Alright i admit that was funny but still what the blinding heck did you wake me up at this hour for ?"

Annoying Big "Brothers" (Ximal)

When Ximal threw the blanket off, he had effectively thrown Ana off himself as well with her small demeanor. Rolling to the side with his movements and laughing her sides into pain as she held them, it was such an awesome prank, she had to give herself credit for thinking it up on the fly and then doing something so outrageously unlike herself. Generally she hated getting close to people, abhorred the idea of touching them, but Ximal had wedged his way into a rather delicate spot within her heart (not like she saw him anything more than a brother.) She squirmed underneath the blanket to pop her head out and retort to his comments but was stopped- she paused because he was in the nude. Men.. Ana hissed inwardly, why...?

Of course Ana stared at him like a half wit with a steadily growing red tint to her face until finally she covered her eyes with her hands, and turned her head the other way. Maybe pranking him awake was not the smartest of ideas, she reasoned with herself as the blanket would be yanked away. Because this happens... Urgh... Why do they have to be naked when they sleep? Whats so wrong with wearing clothes at night, huh? Ana thought as she would peek an eye open past two fingers to check if he were still naked. Of course he was, but at least he was getting dressed. Nudity, she was sick and tired of it because of Spires, and if she wanted to be truthful- she never understood why Wren or Jak slept in the nudes (or in Wrens case, partially.)

Peeking again, she saw he still had the blanket up... But his movements were awkward, she let her hands fall and she pouted at him. "Not my fault you people sleep, and I don't.." She threw the wise-ass crack at him. The blanket fell and honestly- Ana wasn't ready for what Ximal did even though she reacted by trying to throw herself to the side and avoid his lunge. He caught her easily enough, held her waist around his arm and noogied at her head furiously making her flail at the action. "Agh! Lemme go you big oaf!" She demanded of him, now all too eager to stay away from the prospect of closeness. After a moment or two he finally did, languishing to pull a shirt on as she layed on her chest, dejectedly on top of the bed.

"Because!" She snapped, but then said a little more.. nicely, or at least embarresedly as she would turn on her side and prop her elbow on the bed with her hand acting as leverage for her cheek "..I got bored...and...uh.. I didn't want to go running about randomly like a fool, new city, strange place, would prefer if I had a friend with...uhm.. NOT That it has to be you.. but I wanted to offer it to you first.." She babbled at him, obviously she hadn't slept the night previous as her tounge was much looser than it usually was. Ana sat up after a moments of thought, and crawled off the bed to stand up and cross her arms. Giving him a look that could have been akin to 'don't let me explore on my own, please' and hopefully it would work.

So that had been her reason to wake him up rather unceremoniously. She was bored and didn't want to go running about the city by herself. Which in and of itself Xi could understand he'd been nipping about here and there for the last few days and gotten lost a lot, but he'd found his way round by the seventh. Covering hid mouth with the back of his hand Xi yawned loud and long. Xi blinked his eye's lightly before stretching. He shouldn't need too much today so he could just leave his gear beneath his bed. Xi tilted his head and heard the bones crack the loud satisfying pop. "Well...You could follow me around today but today i was planning on heading outside the city to go training. Though...I think i could teach you something you'd like to learn." Xi smirked knowing full well that the little thief could use some more agility. she was quick but Xi had proven time and time again to be by far faster. Xi reached up to put his cloak on before making sure his armoured boots were fastened in place. "Right so you've woken me up, asked if you can follow me round all day and I've said yes so are you going to follow me or are you going to be an annoyance and say no ?" Xi smirked and flipped then chair next to him around and out to await her answer.

Was Ximal stupid or something? Ana wouldn't have wasted the energy to get him out of bed in such a crude manner if she wasn't going to follow him around, and here he was thinking that she would turn down something she offered first (and not the other way around, as he was most definitely making it sound out to be- ugh, Ximal, get an ego check.) She facepalmed promptly at his stupidity, he was only reitterating what she had said in the first place; was waking him up worth this? She let the hand droop and catch hold to the skin on her face, pulling at the lower eyelids and letting the hand drop. A rather unimpressed expression on her face, sometimes she wondered if he was as smart as he made himself sound out to be? He wasn't really showing off a good example.

"Don't be so full of yourself Ximal, and don't make this sound out to be you're the one leading me around, when I specifically asked you first" she chided at him and his current snarky attitude. Then of course there was the mentioning of going outside the walls, she waved a hand at him in hopes of silencing any rebuttals "don't, you know I'm right and you only repeated what I said...But for the love of all that is divine" she rubbed the nooks on either side of the bridge of her nose in exhasperation "why would you go train outside the walls? You and I both know how dangerous it is out there.. Didn't our travels from Spires mean anything to you?" It was a yes or no question, and she was impatient with dawdling in the Hostel for longer than necessary. There was a repetitive 'tap tap' of her foot, a booted toe as she waited for his explanation before throwing her hands up in frustration and turning on her heel to go to her room.

"Wait outside the Hostel, Ximal" she called behind herself "I need my stuff."

With that she waltz right into her room, opening the door and cringing as a nasty screech came from its hinges. That had been the billionth time she allowed herself to forget about that problem, the stupid door with its stupid hinges, this place was old- and she wondered how Vysia kept up with the quality of the Hostel (as worn out seeming as it was.) Ana already had her essentials on, pants, shirt, tunic, belt, now she needed her sword and dagger; promptly buckling them around her waist and fussing with the shirt and area until finally she was comfortable with their presence. Then she draped and secured her cloak around her shoulders, leaving the buckler to rest on the bed, and her backpack which held all of her stuff underneath said bed. Stepping out of the room- this time she closed it slowly to avoid making a horrible noise.

Out the Hostel she went to meet Ximal, seeing the big man waiting for her; without waiting for him she briskly began to walk in whichever direction, beginning a small run and hopping on her feet to look at Ximal "come on Ximal! Theres an entire city to explore, lets have an adventure" she spoke to him, childishly, but for once feeling full of life- he had jogged after her. Stopping. Ana crossed her arms and pursed her lips "we can go training later, first lets see where we can get our fingers into- and no" she glared, going down to a deathly whisper "I don't mean pickpocketing." Just like that, she brightened up "we can train any old day, this one should be for getting to know our surroundings better... Do you know how hard it is to find the Hostel again after leaving it?" She questioned him, rhetorically of course, moving her hands about to also get across her meaning of how such a terrible thing was... Well, terrible.

Xi smirked he'd owed ana bit of annoyance after all that was a very unceremonious awakening. Xi tiled his head to the side and almost laughed at her words, she was really thinking he was full of himself ? He just knew this was the shortest route to annoy her. Xi smirked as she tried to berate him about his decision to train outside the walls Xi said nothing as she spoke to him. As she tapped her food he gave her a look which pretty much said it all. Safer outside the walls, than inside with the monks." With that she dashed out of there to grab her stuff. as she jumped out opf his room Xi opened his window. A nice day outside. Xi smirked as he stepped through the window, and held on with one hand before closing it to drop down on the ground outside. Talk about femurs of steel, Xi landed pretty much in the superhero pose one knee on the ground and one hand before slowly rising back up. Having said that it hand't been that much of a drop. Now xi played the waiting game. waiting for the supposedly "nimble" thief to catch up to him.

Xi sighed and would let ana take the lead , he'd just follow her around like a very big shadow. Still though Xi couldn't help but smirk when it came to new things she was like a kid in a candy store, heck she was a kid in a candy store. Xi just smiled and replied. "Alright just slow down then, it's only a bell after dawn we've all day. And as far as surroundings go i figured out the city in the last three days. So I'm good as far as knowledge of the city goes." Xi still smiled and would let her lead the way if she asked though he'd offer directions.

Annoying Big "Brothers" (Ximal)

Postby Ana Sol Starris on March 30th, 2013, 7:53 pm

They began to walk next to eachother through the streets, Ana of course going to intentionally get themselves lost just to see if Ximal could find the way back. It had occurred to her that perhaps because she was so short, she'd easily get lost in a crowd if they came up to one and tried to get through. What would be the best way to fix that? Most likely getting up onto his shoulders- but she abhorred the thought for the most part. She never liked touch, and doing something so personal like that was bound to make her remember her older brother... Painfully. She weighed the consequences with her hands, much like a balance she stared at them and watched as one or the other would go up and down as she came to a decision. Getting lost, and being alone- was not the best current option, she would have to choke down her insecurities and hope for the best. Glancing at Ximal with a raised eyebrow.

"Well if you want me to slow down- bend over" Ana commanded him after a moments of thought to his previous response. Again without waiting for his next response she moved behind him and began to climb up his back. She stuck a heel into the wedge of his hip and side, grabbed hold of the clothes on his back and pulled with all her might, lifting the other foot off the ground to get a foothold between his other hip and side. Thusly beginning to climb up his back, she used one of her knees to act as a hold into his back but not on the spine area, she promptly lifted the other leg as he finally bent over a bit and put that leg onto his shoulder. Gripping his forehead with her palms and pulling to put her next leg on the other side of his shoulder, she finally got comfy and patted his head. Deviously grinning.

Before he could say anything, Ana tutted at him and pointed forwards "at least I won't get lost up here, and I can see a ton more of stuff from here than down there.. Forwards!" she ordered in a comical voice, it was very much like riding a horse and she might have been a bit degrading when she nudged Ximal's chest with a foot as she said the word 'forwards'. It was all good and fun. Actually, it didn't take long to go about circling the Celestial Sqaure, they passed The Bridge of the Beginning, they had crossed this bridge just a few days before to aquire newer, and more colorful clothing, she singaled Ximal to pass the bridge- they had explored that quarter already and was old news for now. Going to the same places won't help me.. She thought a bit absentmindedly as she would place an elbow on Ximal's noggin.

Next they would come up to another bridge, many candles could be seen, and had the air of death around it, sadness, and grief- it sent shivers up Ana's spine. Just like that she waved Ximal on to pass it, she didn't want to be near that bridge.. Memories of Sinvelt flashed up, rose, and tried to take a seat in her mind but she pushed them down. She didn't want to cross that bridge. There was another bridge, not very intricate as the last two were, but it had a cheery tone to it- a bridge Ana promptly urged Ximal to cross into the square over, pointing "that way!" Was all she said getting a rather good feeling about crossing the bridge, she wanted to see what was in that qaurter of the city, and so they did upon Ana's command.

Her feet were getting rather itchy, and her fingers twitchy, she wanted to get off Ximal's shoulders now but she might have effectively gotten them lost in but a few bells of exploration. She couldn't just randomly desert him, but she also wanted off his shoulders as her butt was getting sore. One foot of hers flicked back and forth, to and fro with her impending irritation for not moving after such a lengthy amount of time. It was when Ana saw an arch from one building to the next she got an idea, without warning to Ximal she moved about to stand on his shoulders, slowly, but as hurridly as she could, swaying back and forth with his walking, he stopped which made her almost flail backwards "don't stop walking!" Ana chided at him, regaining her balance as she straightened up.

Arms held up to her sides, they would get close to the arch and Ana would jump from his shoulders to try and catch the ledge of it, or something with a hand hold. She succeeded in finding something to grasp and hold onto, but Ximal had left her feet and her weight was pulling her down, along with her hands slipping from the marbly surface. Without the strength to hold herself up for very long, she let herself drop "petch!" Ana hissed, hoping the fall wouldn't be too painful.

Annoying Big "Brothers" (Ximal)

Postby Ximal on March 30th, 2013, 8:52 pm

Xi kept up pace along side her as they travelled out wards from the hostel , following the simple routes and ,basically letting ana lead the way, at least until she told him to bend over. What the heck does she want me to bend over fo- Almost as if to answer his question she darted up his back climbing much faster than he would have thought her capable of before uttering the words. "I'm not a damn tree woman!" Then her actions garnered a rather unamused look from Xi as he tilted his head up almost head butting her in the stomach. "Nor am i a horse." He gave her a look which was a cross between annoyance and humour. Mostly because she damn well deserved it. Treating him like some sort of climbing frame horse. Xi sighed and started to walk regardless as he felt her foot thud into his chest lightly. The bridge of the beginning was the first bridge they passed as they continued their path. Xi sighed and walked onwards, she really was like a small child at times. Though it was nice to see her act like it from time to time, always so serious and over thinking everything. Paranoid and snaky, it was nice to see her finally cut out of that, if only for a little while.

Stilol they passed that bridge and the bridge of the dead, with which he could feel ana shiver in repulsion at the idea of crossing it. Xi knew that she'd said most of her family was dead and seeing something like that, was probably not the best of things for her. Even as he felt the hard point of her elbow pressing into the crown of his skull. It could have been worse. Though as they passed that one they headed towards the bridge of the lovers. Xi glanced up to her as if to say " you know what that bridge is right" ? But alas she probably didn't as they ended up trying to cross it anyway. Though after the crossing he felt her scrambling up his shoulders o he came to a halt to try and help her rise up them only to be berated by her for having stopped. Grunting lightly with annoyance he simply carried on walking as she requested, at least until he felt her weight leave his shoulders. he snapped around to see where she'd gone only to see her falling towards the ground. Spinning on his heel quickly he lashed out his hands and caught her falling from the air. The impact hurt his arms but she didn't hit the ground. "Next time you do something that stupid tell me fist and i'll show you how." Xi grumped at ehr as he set ehr down on her feet before leading her by her arm into a small alley walls narrow, and houses close together with flat walls.

"Right you little monkey. Try and do as i do, if you can then you can climb your ass up these things like nothing. " Xi used a lot of his knowledge from his time in the spores and took a step back and another before breaking out into a fast run, then using the smallness of the space coupled with the speed he's built up darted between the alls using the sides of his feet for better traction against the alls and hauled himself up until he could reach and pulled himself up and over the lip of the house. Then peering down from over the edge of one of them he looked down at her. "Now you try and get your monkey ass up here. If you cna grab my hand i'll haul you up." As he finished he swung his right arm down and over the edge using his left to brace himself in case and for when she grabbed hold of it.

Annoying Big "Brothers" (Ximal)

Postby Ana Sol Starris on April 2nd, 2013, 6:10 am

Falling, free falling she most definitely was, and it was an amazing feeling if only she would have known that there wouldn't be pain at collision. Closing her eyes and waiting for the stone to meet her feet, she made her body as straight as she could but that was probably the wrong way to go about it. Much like how one would jump into shallow water, damage could be done with the force of falling, the tension, stress, if it hadn't of been for Ximal then Ana's legs would have been put out of commission for possibly the rest of her life. That might have been an exhageration though, at the least it could have been for a good chunk of the season, with reprecussions as well, or an inability to walk correctly afterwards. Maybe even pain would have accompanied her bones along the way of recovery, if she had landed on the ground, that is.

Caught by her tiny waist with his hands, and then turned so she was falling to the side to land very much like a newly wed bride in his arms- she opened her eyes and looked up at him, mouth slightly agape, and for the life of her she couldn't decide whether or not she was going to scold him, or thank him for being caught. He set her down easily enough, scolding her before she could do the same back to him, or even thank him for catching her like he had instead of letting her fall to the ground. Giving him her own mildly annoyed look, an expression akin to dignity and pride being sat next to eachother to have tea and cookies (except, the little tea party had become a stare down between the two, there would have even been a brawl if not for the voice of reason butting its head in.) Ximal grabbed her arm and led her away..

Into an alleyway, somewhat cramped, she wondered how someone of Ximal's size could fit inside the small space but apparently he did. "So I'm a monkey now?" Ana muttered under her breath, watching him break out into a sprint towards a wall with a bored look on her face. He's...going to run into a wall? It was the briefest of thoughts, disbelieving in his abilities until the oaf jumped and scaled the wall with his feet before pulling himself up the edge of a house's roof. That smacked the silly right out of her chiding attitude towards him, jaw going slack and then being slapped shut with a hand as Ana oggled at what Ximal had just done. When the petch did he learn that? She stared at him from the bottom, the Spires? Sunberth? Sweet larceny's britches, how long has he been hiding that ability? Ana pondered, and wondered.

Letting the hand fall she glared up at him, pursing her lips in determination to not be bested by him and his wall scaling ways. Taking two steps back, and then another for added precaution, she broke out into a sprint towards the wall- intending to jump up it much like Ximal had if only not for the fear of crashing head on hadn't interfered. Mere yards away from the wall she slowed down her sprint in fear of colliding too hard, and then jumped for her feet to meet the wall, but they slipped down and she found herself laying on the ground like a fool. Heart hammering against her chest and pounding in her ears as she breathed in, sucked the air into her lungs and then pushed it out when the organs demanded more fresh air. Petch, get up Ana... Try that again, she egged herself on as she dragged herself to stand again, staring up at Ximal.

Holding her chest as she breathed in once or twice, a few good more inhales of breath before asking him with a confused look on her face "how did you do that?" It was a simple enough question, but for the life of her she was confused on how he had done it. He simply scaled up the wall while she had fallen, walking away from him to back where they had both started, she got ready to run again. Shaking her arms out once or twice and curling her body forwards, bending her knees she pumped herself for another insta-sprint towards the wall. Off she went! Ana was pushing her legs with as much force as she could into the run, and just as the first try, she slowed down at mere yards close to the wall and jumped to land her feet there, pushing up as hard as she could, Ana could feel her feet slipping once again.

This time however she didn't fall on her back, as she felt gravity work its most wonderful wonders on her body, she turned her body in mid air to land on her feet but fell to one knee. Choking, she inhaled the air, and exhaled the used up breathes, she still couldn't understand how he had done it.

Annoying Big "Brothers" (Ximal)

Xi laid atop the roof looking down at ana her jaw a little slack and her eyes wide. by the gods i think i shut her up for five chimes. Then she spoke and blew that thought away completely. Xi sighed and responded quietly down to her. In an almost sarcastic tone for the first sentence. "I ran up the wall, duh. But seriously, i used my speed to help my feet grip the walls as i pressed my feet into them. It helped me climb." Xi then watched ana, try and follow suit starting off at a fast pace and then just as she was about to climb the wall slow down. She did the exact same thing again and fell on her legs rather than her face both times. Xi sighed and then looked down at her whilst saying.

"Look you monkey, you keep slowing down when you reach the wall, you need to keep the speed or speed up or you'll have no purchase on the wall, use the side of your foot on the walls either side of you, bounce up then shifting your weight across keeping your forwards speed." Xi smirked and lent over the edge and thought hat giving her something to try and prove might be a better way of coaxing her into more action. "Or can you not muster the nerve to get up here? Are you afraid of something aaaana ?" A small wry smile on Xi's face as he watched her.
