Physical Description
Vanir's hair is fiery red, like many of the Inarta. It is not in good shape, a Dek has more important worries than his hair. If it was cared for properly, it would be amazing hair, but it is not cared for, so it looks terrible. His eyes are blue. The exact color of his eyes, looks very similar to the color of the sky itself. His skin is pale and smooth, but you would never see it like that since it is usually covered in something from his last task.

His skin is not filled with muscles, there is almost no muscles, thanks to barely any exercise and malnutrition. He stands at about 5'6". As for clothes, he wears a Lontev like most Dek. A Lontev, is a shapeless tunic that reaches to about Vanir's knees. As for footwear, he wears nothing. Vanir walks barefoot. A Dek does not get good clothing, or even choices like other Inartas do.

Character Concept
Vanir is a drudge, a casteless, unskilled, man who is doomed to serve. Vanir keeps repeating a lie, thinking that being a drudge is really just serving his people, he soon began to believe this so he didn't try and kill himself. Happiness is hard to see in him, Inartas of different castes get to experience many different thrills and adventures, as a drudge Vanir never did get a chance to experience these joys.

Vanir cannot really be considered any where on a moral scale. Choice is something he hasn't had in a very, very long time. When someone asks a Drudge to do something, they do it. There is really no way to tell what he would do in a situation where he would have to do something either good or evil. He sometime hopes nothing like that would ever happen to him, he doesn't know if he could make a decision like that.

Vanir has heard of drudges who have moved up a caste by marriage. Vanir considers this just rumors, who would marry a drudge and not someone from a caste? Obviously, he has never experienced anything related to love. Maybe if he ever did fall in love this would change. He knows nothing of relationships, if he ever did fall in love he would be a fool. No one has ever cared for him in that way, and neither has he cared for someone that way.

I would be a liar if I did not say the idea of crime had came to Vanir's mind. But he has heard of Dek who resorted to crime, their punishment came swiftly. And part of Vanir can not hurt a fellow Inarta, you could consider this an act of good but he considers it to just be loyal to his race. Still, the idea of resorting to Crime is in Vanir's mind, and maybe someday, if he gets desperate, he may be a criminal.

Character History

Vanir's mother was a drudge women who was taken advantage of by an eagle rider. How ever, Vanir knows nothing of this. He was sent to a nursery and grew up there. He was taken care of by some very kind commoners. He grew up with many other kids, many became more successful than Vanir did. Even though he lived in a nursery, he did get a chance with birds.

He was given a blue jay to take care of. He did his best to take care of the bird, he wasn't the best at this. The bird did live for a while, until it died. It lived for 6 months under Vanir's care. The commoners were hesitant to give him another bird, they never did give Vanir another chance. Vanir cried for a long time, he experienced death at a young age. It is always painful to experience death, no matter the age.

After reaching the age of 8, he then lived in the Youth section of the city where Inarta learned about being independent. He also practiced many skills like archery, which he was terrible at. He did many Beldi tasks. He did good in some Beldis. Like helping the road crew with the snow, learning some thing about cooking, and even one about falconry. But others he did bad at.

When he turned 15, he showed no expertise in any skill,he became a drudge. The next few years were hard, he had to serve anybody who asked him to. His life is still like that today. He works as hard as he can, just so he can earn a day's meal. It is a sad existence, a sad one indeed.
