Garran Frostfawn Race: Vantha Gender: male Age: 25 Birthday: 8th day of Spring, 488 AV Birthplace: Avanthal Appearance: Tall for a Vantha, Garran stands at 6’, having a muscular build from a lifetime of hard work. He has short, dark hair, which shimmers with the iridescent lights affects of the northern borealis. His eyes are an ever changing swirl of various colors, reflective of his mood: green is a neutral, content state; blue is a more relaxed tint, bleeding into purple when Garran is very calm and ready to rest or sleep. Going in the other direction on the spectrum, his eyes go from green to yellow as his interest is piqued by something. Yellow blends into orange and then all the way to red, the more excited and passionate he becomes – either in a good way, or through anger, or any intensity of mood. Character Concept: Garran was born into the Frostfawn Hold, to parents who were especially adept at breeding, raising and training the horses which were native to Taldera. He and his two brothers learned everything they could from their parents and became skilled horsemen themselves. Garran's life revolves around his work with horses, always striving to raise the best trained mounts and harness horses that he can. Character History: Garran's father was a skilled horse trainer and breeder of the Frostfawn Hold. He married a girl from the Winerflame Hold, and Garran was born the middle son of three. He had a rather normal childhood, trailing after his father and older brother, and then joined by his younger brother, spending most of his time fooling around with horses. He was always a cheerful boy, curious and smart, with a bit of a mischievous streak in him. A hard worker, he could be quite stubborn, and he definitely knew what he wanted to do with his life - be a trainer just like his parents. When Garran was 18, he was married for a brief time, to a girl his family had picked out for him. His young wife died only a few months after the wedding, and the death was investigated by the Icewatch, and finally ruled an accident. But during the investigation, it came out that Garran had a boyfriend as well, a member of the Coolwater Hold. They had been together for a year or so, until sometime before Garran up and married the girl, who was a Skyglow. Her death and the brief stir it caused, apparently caused a rift between the two young men, and about a year later, the Coolwater, who was a skilled harpooner on a fishing vessel, was lost at sea. Since then, Garran has remained single, and he has become more of a private person. There are still times when people will put their heads together and whisper about the rumors that were flying back then, when it all went down. Garran seems to either not know or not care about the gossip - but no doubt he must hope that someday, it will all be forgotten. People being what they are, though, that might never come to pass. He seems to have just thrown himself and all his energy and passion into his vocation, and spends most of his time, working or otherwise, with his precious horses.
