Raena closed shut the door of her little cottage, having to give it an extra tug as it liked to jam, it was an old cottage after all, before turning on her way.
Trudging through some long grass which grew surrounding her little home she emerged from the trees. The sun was shining quite brightly but she could feel a slight chill, she took no notice. She made her way down toward the city of Zeltiva, she rarely entered the place itself but decided it was time. Making her way down the path and hopping gracefully over a rock or two, she felt she was making good time for once. There was a quiet buzz she could hear of the wildlife surrounding her, that sound always made her feel at home, it reminded her of her youth, and the music that used to fill the air. She smiled slightly to herself whilst walking at a casual pace deep in thought.
Then she shook her head clearing the dreamland of joy from her mind and looked forward into Zeltiva, she had arrived.
If something seems too good to be true...
It usually is.

It was early in the morning, the ship was ready and it was time to leave.
Cisel stood on the deck and watched Zeltiva disappear out of sight. Well. It had been interesting to visit the town but soon enough she had started to feel it was time for her to move on.

She shrugged, turned the other way and looked forward, out over the open sea.

To the traveling Akalak, it had been an eternity since he had felt the gentle kiss of the sea. As he drew ever closer to the marine city of Zeltiva, the warrior by the name Khal'iah slowly began to realize just how much he missed it! He missed the caress of the gentle, seabreeze upon his face and through his ebony locks. He missed the briny aroma that filled his nostrils and the taste of salt upon his tongue. Ah, it reminded him of his beloved hometown Riverfall, and as his trusty, brown steed Jak bore him through the narrow, Mirahil pass, a tiny pang of homesickness gripped the warrior's stomach.
'I'll be certain to visit home sometime soon...' he reassured himself, gripping the reins of his mount firmly and goading him to move swifter with a gentle knudge with his heel.

In minutes, the traveling duo had entered the scene of architectural marvels and marine breezes: these were their first steps into the city of Zeltiva. Homesickness aside, Khal'iah was glad that he had made it thus far and his voyage...and now he had to tend to the most pressing of matters. First, he would find the appropriate place to stow his companion, and then he would find somewhere decent to eat!

"And so we go."

Darvus, having set up his camp some hours away from town walked in through the pass from the mountains. His walk was almost a stagger, but not from intoxication. His world was almost that of a cartoon with joyous song and shenanigans abundant.

His intentions? Causing his own "comic" mischief. I mean, burning down a house full of people as they scream "no" was plenty good fun for him. Others see it a different way.

Eyes, unblinking and staring at the city of Zeltiva. He was going to have fun...

...And he is resolved to let no one stop him...

Postby Ruza on April 17th, 2013, 12:22 am

Spring 513, 16th day.

Although it had taken a few days, Ruza finally could see the end of the mountain pass. This was a relief for her considering she had just started to feel a little worn down. This was the type of day that would sure end great with a nice ale to drink away the worries and cares of the past. Tako and Boyga following close behind, both with expressions of pure boredom. They have been traveling on foot for a little while now. Her supplies getting low and her money seemed to have wasted away somehow, it was definitely time to stop and grab some things before heading to the next place. Ruza hoped that she could maybe rest for a day here, if only money grew on trees.

(Taken from first post)
As the sun began to set to yet another tiring day, Ruza found herself setting up camp in the most secluded place possible right outside the town. After feeding her horse Tako, and cat Boyga she began making her way into the city she has not yet visited. This meant there could potentially be very interesting new people, or whole lot of bastards...It's half the fun to find out. Ruza had herself wrapped up in her cloak, it was getting a little chilly as night quickly approached. Her hair draped messily about, the length adding to her warmth. She made her way into town, the streets still busy, she carefully made her way through the crowd before realizing she had no idea where she was going.

Postby Tlazotinya re Jahrid on April 18th, 2013, 11:06 pm

Spring 6, 513 A.V.

Tlazotinya re Jahrid had a cold and detached smile upon her lips, as she wandered up the pass that entered the city of Zeltiva. Many came to the beautiful city for means of pleasure, or to browse through the University's vast libraries. Yet the female Eypharian had come to the city for one reason, and one reason only, to find and kill the one who had murdered her Mother and Father.

She was up for the task, but knowing her luck things wouldn't go as planned. They never did, in face most of the time the unexpected happened and she had to dig herself out of messy situations. She was prepared to fight dirty, steal, and lie right through her teeth if it would get her any closer to her goal, she just wished she knew what was going to happen.....

She was deep in though, contemplating on how she would manage in the city, when someone bumped into her. She was snapped back to the present, and now staring down at a small violet-skinned child. She smiled, an Akalak had bumped into her, she offered the youth one of her hands, this caused her cloak to shift, revealing the rest of her hands, as well as arms....that was all six of them. The youth stared at her, but then took her offered hand, the Eypharian pulled the boy to his feet, then nodded once before turning and entering the city. Leaving the boy with a wide and dumbstruck look on his youthful face.

Tlazotinya chuckled, children were all the same, they all had the same reaction when it came to her arms, she simply shrugged. This was going to be ab eventful season.
Life is one thing that many don't understand.......It is something to indulge and find pleasure in......Not wallow in and find thing distasteful.

4th Day of Spring, 513 AV

Lavine drug her feet the last couple of steps as she made her way to her camp. She had long ago reached exhaustion but finally crept home as the 10th bell rang that night.
Upon reaching her tent, Lavine crawled in and slipped off her boots with a groan. Her feet stung and her upper arms were sore from a full day of flying. Finally flopping back onto her bedroll, she sighed. How sweet it was to be home! In the morning, she needed to cook her food, go into the city and buy a new cloak, maybe do some more research...
"Ugh," Lavine moaned aloud, "So much to do, so little time!"
Luckily, Zeltiva wasn't far from her camp so she would be able to get there without a full day of traveling. And thank the gods for that! Thought Lavine, gently massaging her sore feet. I don't think I can take any more traveling! Barely before she had finished the thought, she fell backwards with a snore. Sleep quickly captured the poor, tired girl. Tomorrow would have to wait until tomorrow.

Day 5, Spring of 513 AV

Castor jumped off the merchant's wagon and waved as they came through the pass at the entrance of Zeltiva. These past two weeks on the road had been taxing, but seeing the city, he knew it had all been worth it. Through his clothes, he patted the familiar rectangle that was his grandfather's journal, in its secure position, hidden in the inner pocket of his coat.

The sight of the distant University made his heart swell with a feeling of adventure, even as the memory of recent events squeezed it painfully. With a smile, he shook off the heavy feelings and focused on the life he fully intended on living, heading immediately for the University's registry.

OOCI should've done this a long time ago. Sorry.

1st Day Of Winter, 512 AV

The Pass was nothing more than a wind tunnel and, especially with the oncoming winter winds, was freezing. Erekez pulled his cloak tighter around himself as Moonraker continued to trot along the narrow path. She had complained numerous times, but he couldn't do anything about it for the time being. The Wildlands were behind them , and the city wasn't far in front of them now. Erekez felt bad. The gilding had to put up with so much over the journey. He'd have to make it up to her somehow.

Erekez didn't care to stop as the city of Zeltiva came into view. Instead, he peeked through the hood he had pulled down far on his head to hide his face from the wind. A smile pulled at his face, something he thought he'd never do for the sake of a city, but winter was setting in and somewhere warmer than a tent would be greatly welcome. Even if it was only temporary.

Amongst all the buildings scattered throughout the city, only the one he had heard so much about stood out to him. The University. Erekez had come to Zeltiva in the hopes of learning familiary from one of the lecturers at the University. He didn't intend on leaving without doing so. He had heard magic was dangerous and not everyone could learn it. Erekez would have to see if he could first and, if so, take his time learning. This wasn't intending to be a rush job. He was going to take as long as he needed, meaning he might be in this city for a while.

First, he needed to find some place for Moon.

Coonie spun the wheel violently to the right. The ship gave a jerk and narrowly escaped her third crash that day.
"Watch it Coon! We don't have enough to repair this piece of-" Fown began.
"Hush now," Lia scolded. "Coon can't learn unless she tries."

Fown grumpily shut his mouth, then slunk into the sleeping quarters to pout. Or maybe to stay safe. Coonie had to admit, she wasn't great at docking yet. She was more of a "throw an anchor and swim the rest" kind of girl.

So, when Lia sighed, All right. I don't see any reason to go farther." Coonie eargerly rushed to the side of the boat. Her muscles pulled as taut as the rope with the weight of the anchor. She grunted with effort and launched the heavy weight over the side of the boat. She waited for the satisfying "sploosh" before grabbing her backpack and arcing over the railing.

Her dive was less than perfect and it left Coonie gasping for breath. Despite the momentary setback, Coonie paddled towards shore, newly emergized. The salty, chiled water seemed to breath new life into her tired bones. And so, she headed towards shore. Towards new people, foods, and knowledge.
Towards adventure!
