Flashback For the love of.... why can't I be on my own? (Fox Starseer)

[Aleksi]

When it was finished, Aleksi stretched her frame and then walked over to the Elk, measuring it in her mind. It seemed like a fairly nice catch and so did his, when she took a peek over his shoulder. Shrugging to his question, she added I'm not sure, honestly, but it looks quite good... much better than anything I've seen in days.... for some reason, Elk have been disturbed around here... She didn't seem to care about any of the things he was worried about. Being quite, bandits, glassbeaks.... After spending a part of the night in The Sea of Grass, with her bondmate, she was not too upset with anything.

Fox shurgged his concerns off, if it was bandits they wouldn't last long, and the glassbeaks probably wheren't a concern right now. "Maybe we can find some slightly more plyable grasses or something we could use to make something like rope" he suggested. It wasn't much of a suggestion, and he didn't know much about making rope but maybe they could try a few things and work it out. Plus it was the best, and currently only, idea they had.

[Aleksi]

Aleksi nodded and for the second time, probably, during that whole conversation, smiled at the man that she was hunting with. Not by choice, but it didn't seem like such a bad thing in the end, after all. Let's try, it won't kill us... I know how to braid hair, somewhat, so I might know how to make a form of a rope, I guess.. I can always try... she said before moving about and looking for strands of grass they could actually use in that way. It wasn't that easy to find them, but hey, it was a huge field, they'd either get them or get killed by glassbeaks, one of the two.

[Fox Starseer]

Fox moved out and found a few tufts of grass like what he wanted. He picked them and carried them back to the lattices. "I found them" he said. He looked them over, as if checking for imperfections as his father would a piece of metal or wood he was about to work on. "They seem to be quite good too" he said, bending the one in his hand right around into a perfect circle. "This might just work" he added.

[Aleksi]

Nodding a bit, she added Yes it actually could before moving herself down onto the ground, trying to braid the grass into the most simple braid out there, and then braid three of those into a bigger one just for the strength. Luc came closer to Aleksi, resting his head on her lap which made the Drykas woman giggle some, running her fingers through his fur and adding You silly kitten. Her eyes ten moved up to the man, with a soft voice she added while doing her best to keep track of the braiding What do you intend to do now.. I mean, with your sister gone and all.... what are your plans?. She seemed actually interested in what he was going to say, which was quite strange around her

"I plan to save her, get her out of captivity. Alive is preffered but if she's dead or dying before I reach her....then I bring her body home for the proper funeral rites" Fox said, braiding the next lot of grass. He then looked at Aleksi, straight into her eyes. "What would you do in my situation?" he asked.

[Aleksi]

She nodded and sighed softly. She knew all about respect and proper funeral rites. She had buried her father, after all. Gripping tightly onto the grass as she finished braiding that strand, her voice went weak. What would she do in that situation? What is she going to do in a similar situation? I would go after her... and I will.. I have lost someone dear to me as well and I will go after her... Looking away, she swallowed hard and took a deep breath. It took all she had to not cry every time she'd think of her lost Kelvic and their bond.

Fox nodded as he finished tying the first two braided grass ropes to one of the lattices. "These will sit at a slight angle, we may need a couple more makeshift ropes to stop the loads from sliding off" he said quietly, gathering more grass to braid into ropes. He thought on the comment, on her admission. "Who did you lose?" he asked. "The one you said you'd go after, what sort of relationship did you two have?" he added. He glanced over at her then back to what he was working on. She is quite good looking, even though she seemed a bit standoffish before he thought. As he was working he started wondering what she was thinking.

[Aleksi]

She bit on her lip and shook her head to clear her thoughts before looking at the man. Taking the strands from him, she continued braiding and just spoke, quietly. Grief, anger and pain filling her voice all at once as she did her best to keep the tears in her eyes from streaming down her cheeks She.... was the only person I loved in this place... When I was younger... I was just like any other girl, hoping for a loving husband and a family in my older days..., coughing a bit and feeling her skin blush up. It was never easy for her to speak of her emotions, but it did help And on one of my trips with Davon.... who, by the way, sadly enough is a man I am promised to... my future husband shivering at the very words spoken, she sighed and continued once more I met a man I fell in love with.... but it was either death for him or me leaving.. so ever since... men are not really.... my deal... well, no one was really... until she came into my life.... and changed everything.... . The girl's cheeks were now covered in tears as she bit her bottom lip and looked down at the braid.

[Fox Starseer]

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that" he said. "I've never been romanticaly involved with anyone, well except one girl but she ran away because of a rumour someone had spread, I had my twin, we where very close, almost inseperable...we gave each other what we both needed" he added. A small tear ran down his cheek, he made no effort to hide it. He took the finished braid and tied it to the end of the girl's lattice. "Sometimes, after she was taken, I would feel lost, like part of me is missing" he said after a couple of minutes. He looked up at Aleksi. "What do you think of honour and loyalty?" he asked. Honour meant everything to him, as it was with his parents, as did loyalty. It was the basis of what drove him and his twin as kids.
